We have yet to win any games with this deck in testing. It has literally lost to EVERYTHING.

what have you tested it against? (if it is an SD, you don't have to say, but any suggestions would be nice...) because I've had serious problems with its speed. in most cases, i never have a chance to do anything...

^ lol, everybody overlooks Birch. I think you're right about it working well in this deck (early game)

I hate to say it, but this deck is greatly improved with 3-4 TSD supplemented for night maintenance (more so than other lists). When you don't get the ideal setup or have a prize-a-tot it's imperative to recycle the Pokemon rapidly. Then again, that's $130-200 in cards..

And just who might have 4 TSD???... Wait, I do:biggrin:

I made this deck for a league i went to today, its pretty similer to V.4 deck list except i replaced the Cessation Crystals with Wally's Training, i also couldn't get 4 DRE, 4 Castaway and 2 PFC for it so i supstituted 4 grass energy, 2 Copy Cats, 2 Scotts, a 4th Ceilo's Network and a Rare Candy.

it worked really well, i played it against my friends Magnezone deck and it won 9/10 usally getting Kricketune out T2 with 2-3 Kricktots in the back like its suppose to do. I played against some other decks but most of the better PKMN players are therir in the mourning and i spent the entire day getting the cards.

+1 -- Although I have to admit it's a fun deck to play and it almost won a few (out of 20 or so) games.

Now plug in $200 share (or in our case, 4 laser printoffs) of a certain card and a winner it makes.

I think super scoop up is a better addition than the Absol because you save prizes and resources PLUS it is compatiable with the Absol ex. I think Absol ex works better with Lucario though.

As for fossils, it's weak to defend its usage from quick ball. While quick ball IS an amazing card, you must run the risk as fossils are such a liability.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

BTW as for ideas, pokénav or anything else that can generally improve pokénav's efficency.

Shuppet+BanetteDp3 for the instant T1 70 or safeguard seems attractive as does buffer piece for defense. Lots of aggro and disruption options should help. Tools + Wager can get rid of windstorms or you can flush them out in other ways such as buffer piece or stadiums.

What about a hybrid with Lucario? Lots of potential for donking and intense Absol drops. The level X turn could be just what is needed for restoring Kriketunes. Plus you have a none-swarm dependant secondary that can set up KOs.

Wager seems a bit iffy to me. If you lose it could ruin the game.

No Super Scoop Up. Potion is the play. I heard that with potion, you never die. Not sure if it is true or not though...

Potion would honestly help more early game.

Only prob with gold berry is that it can only be used when there are alteast 4 damage counters on the poke

so put a few more on when you need them
do you think your opponent will object to you damaging your own pokemon?
sheesh...

i build one of these for a friend
he hated it, and wont talk to me anymore
now im sad

I know it doesn't need healing. Some other guy recommended Super Scoop Up. I meant that Potion would be BETTER than Super Scoop Up. Neither would be really good here though.

Doctor House (Mew*) intends us to believe that potion would prolong the lifespan of our crickets. Too bad our Crickets are bad at fighting chronic illness, so a short game is the real play. Start him on plus powers and strength charms and he'll have this thing beat by turn 6 or so.

Also, keep some switch in there. all of my games with kricketune that i've ever lost are due to having a useless active that gets knocked out crippling your attack and cutting your pokemon count by 1/4.

^ I hate switch, only new players that don't know what they're doing should ever play it. Warp Point is so much better because it usually disrupts the opponent. Never play switch...

Technically, Switch has its uses in some decks. But for this deck, Warp Point is the better play.

well, warp point's dandy as well. the point is that you can't afford to be retreating. sure his attacks don't cost a lot but in this deck, speed is key. if you don't win soon, you won't win at all.
