Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Blissey too strong?

The first is kinda an obvious choice, but...

The second. Doesn't Holon WP cause problems for the counter, 'cause that messes up the first attack, and the second attack of the main pokemon is only going to get 1, maybe 2 KOs?

Or am I looking at the wrong stage 2 pokemon?

No, you're at the right one. But all the prizes you draw all game long are with that second attack. The first attack is used maybe once per tournament, not at all once per match. ;)

What kills Blissey is the combination of that attack (and other Pokémon in your deck, of course) and heavy disruption. :) Once Blissey loses its draw and its speed, it's dead meat. I won a tournament this way on Sunday (in Osaka, Japan). It was a small, 16-player tournament and I'm definitely no great player anymore, but the same happens in bigger and more important tournaments in Japan. Blissey is dying.

And Rainbowgym, I disagree. The format is not such a huge deal. When Blissey dominated the format in Japan this spring, I predicted it would do the same after MT's release on the US/INTL market. People didn't believe me because our Blissey wouldn't have the Holon Engine and Life Herb, two key cards in the Japanese winning deck. I said Blissey was going to be huge no matter what, I even did at Worlds, when most people who opened Blissey from packs said it """sucked""".

No matter what format differences we have, the format mainly cosists of decks build around the most recently released cards. I am completely aware of Cursed Stone's impact, but I'm 100 % sure that the 4 slots Japanese players use for Cursed Stone will be filled wisely by US/INTL players.

Tego - I am not talking about the Holon Engine, that would made Blissey even more killing as it is right now.
It's also not only Cursed Stone, think about Energy Charge or Briney which would have made Blissey a tank.
I really don't think Galade is that dangerous for Blissey at least not more than Lucario/Rampardos/Machamp are at this point.

I think that you can do that if you run Delcatty, Ardoptres. But if you don't then it's much harder to draw into what you need. And even with Catty it can take a bit longer to get the specific energies you need if you run both. When you run just one it's faster and more consistant.

Blissy is dominant there are a lot of things that can beat it but they are not going to beat blissy consistantly. Sabeleye PK AND CG both help when playing blissy PK is a fun start and CG disrupts they are not ALWAYS going to have out a WP and Water and a FF and a Fighting. Lucario, Megainium d, Exeggcutor d, and Kingdra ex d are all good fighting types to go toe to toe with blissy. No one even runs GL in their blissy so that is like w/e and poisoning or confusing a blissy is a great way to win a match. Stadiums such as lake vertify(spelling) do x2 damage to blissy and crystal beach stop the boost. Blissy is BEST played alone. Because BlissCatty causes you to go dump crazy and you have to worry about setting up delcatties and gets trumped by Cessation Crystal and you should not even think about playing a windstorm in that deck nor should you have to and Blissvire lacks the Holon Energy making it ALOT more vulnerable to the fighting type dominated meta. Straight blissy disrupts and hits high plus it also has a plethora of energy advantages at its disposal. SW will be the fall of blissy anyone can see that but as of now if you dont play exactly the right deck to counter it you wont win.

People
We have dealt with decks and cards that were \"Too Strong\" before
Anyone else rememer LBS? 200 every turn or 100 to anyone every turn?
Has there been a deck before or since that was anything like that? No, and yet the format carried on

Blissey is tough, very tough actually
But it isnt invincible
Gallade isnt the only counter coming to us guys, there are plenty more soon available to us

The Monkey and especially Superhero both have an edge over whichever version of Happiness is being played. But don't take my word for it!

I wanted to know what is in SW that kills blissy.

I remember you mentioning to me at Lusby Battle Roads that you had completely overlooked Blissey when you viewed the DP2 spoilers.

If you want to figure out what beats Blissey, the key is to overlook nothing. There are some cards that are just awful, but it's imperative that you keep an open mind about the rest. A lot of people on the PokeGym tossed Blissey aside because it wasn't flashy enough at first glance, and look at how well it's performing. Bliss variants have won all four Battle Roads I've attended this season.

Overlook nothing, theorize constantly, and test heavily. You might find the key to beating Blisey. You might not. But you definitely won't find it if you don't put in the effort.

^So, did you win the Gainesville BR after I left?

Those matches were tough.

I remember you almost scooped the 2nd game w/ 1 Delcatty out, but you held on for the win...

I call rematch next event! lol

And to think I almost put in a few ER2 to Mario...

Blissey is a beast. Not to be underestimated.

Even when using fighting decks and stuff.
