Normal Trainer
Quite likely, and it seems from WPM's source that this is true. Guess its not 100% certain though. That could have been gospel, or just a possibility.

Ho-oh
80% certain it is Ho-oh. I am sure Ho-oh can either transform itself or transform others. It could easily be true, and if so maybe it was "guiding" Ash when he saw it originally. Why else would Ho-oh be on Route 1 at that exact time? Ho-oh is truly sacred, and Ash is obviously supposed to be "special". This is most obvious in Pokemon 2000.

A Celebrity (Real World)
It seems the kind of thing that possibly could happen. You never know. I totally disagree with this theory though.

Mr. Mime
I wouldn't think about Mr. Mime too deeply. "Mimey" is just an overactive friendly cleaner. "Mime, Mime. Mis-ter Mime".

Giovanni
Possibly the most talked about theory. I don't agree. He is the bad guy, IMO and that is as far as it goes. This isn't Star Wars.

Brock
Someone suggested this at SPP. NO, just NO.

May
I'd say this is not very likely.

The Trainer from the Battle (Nidorino VS. Gengar)
Unless this has been revelead already who it is, it remains a possibility.

A Game Boy Advance
Marketing, maybe.

Pikachu
MAYBE. Just maybe, Pikachu is a reincarnation of Ash's dad. The original one possibily having died.

Fearow
AKA Mew. A test of ability and determination, and sacrifice (Pidgeot). If you don't know which Fearow I mean, ask, I will tell you.

Lance
Some people have suggested it. I can't see it myself, but there are connections.

Other
I could have missed them completely

Oak: Sick. Just sick. This would also mean Ash is Gary's Uncle or father. Also very sick.

Normal Trainer: Possible.

Ho-oh: I don't like the thought of a giant golden bird mating with a woman. Even if it could transform(which I do not think it can), this would still be pretty wrong. But there are some connections out there...

A Celebrity: Bleh, I don't think there are celebrities in Pokemon.

Mr. Mime: No, this is an even more wrong image then the Ho-oh one.

Giovanni: Well hey, it could be Star Wars-ish.

Brock: It burns!

May: Ok, I think you just made up this to give yourself a laugh. You are SICK man, SICK.

Nidorino/Gengar Trainer: Good question...

A Game Boy Advance: Once again, you made this up to give yourself a laugh. This doesn't make any sense. Even if it was marketing, Ninetndo would never do something like this.

Pikachu: I don't think so. Unless somehow Oak can communicate with Pikachus, the possibility of Oak getting a Pikachu that was Ash's dad AND giving it to Ash is very unlikely.

Fearow/Mew: I dunno. Probably not. It is, after all, another Pokemon.

Lance: Doubt it. He hardly ever appeared in the TV show.

So, in conclusion, I think Ash's dad was a Human Male XD .

it is said that Ho-oh will guied the person destined to be the greatist pokemon trainer ever through his jurney, that's why Ho-oh is guiding Ash through his advintures. You people need to do more resursh, I can't do it alone anymore, and post anything new as quicky as possible, as for my I'll look closly at a few episodes from the first season for now

Schpielbunk? Um, if you didn't notice, he was only in two episodes and he never made it big in Hollywood. The only people who would even come to the movie was Ash and friends.

Incase you didn't know, kids come here. You should try to sensor your posts to be less adult-like.

I was watching the Red Gyarados ep today, and Lance says Ash's name (and only Ash's name) without Ash even telling him it what it is. This could mean he could be the father, but then again, it could be another Pokemon 2000 Misty mistake.

LOL at this topic! I would never imagine people suggesting Pokemon would be uhhh reproducing with Ash's Mom! XD

Anyway, I haven't watched the Pokemon Cartoon in a while. And we still don't know who Ash's father is? Hopefully in the final last Pokemon episode ever, they reveal who Ash's dad is.

But im going to take my guess and say Giovanni is Ash's dad.

people can die there hair you know. Just look at James, his hair is blue, a color that doesn't occur in human hair without dieing the hair

1. This is animé. It's not hair dye, that's his natural hair colour. In animé, any colour in te visible spectrum can be a natural hair colour.
2. To the guy who made that rather lewd comment: no, giant fire chickens just don't do it for me.

WPM Lance might have herd of Ash at the pokemon leuge or something.I meen Max new of the Jhoto one.Other guy with the same avatar you better edit.Mod sees that and your banned from pokegym and you only just started this month.

That's a good point, especially considering that Lance is a member of the Kanto Elite Four, and Ash has met up with Agatha and Bruno.

Its sparky, that pikachu with the hair. yeah, thats why he looks at ash so weird in that episode where they find him in the grass at the end.

*Bangs head off of computer* Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow!!!!! Cut it out with the A-Pokemon-is-Ash's-Father stuff. It's just wrong sounding. Please, just let that part go. Can we just skip to the human aspect? If this discussion gets any more weird, I wouldn't be suprised if the Mods close it down. Honestly, I think it's a nobody trainer. Simple as that.
