Ash's father: the final debate!

Most of what has been said in the series keeps leaving to believe its Oak, the only problem is the hair color just doesnt match. We know Oak to have had brownish hair before it went gray, Delia's hair is brownish also.

Most people have suggested Giovanni, this is actually a more logical answer if it ever played out, if this scenario does play out, its probably going to be way at the end of a major series.

Incase you didn't know, kids come here. You should try to sensor your posts to be less adult-like.

I was watching the Red Gyarados ep today, and Lance says Ash's name (and only Ash's name) without Ash even telling him it what it is. This could mean he could be the father, but then again, it could be another Pokemon 2000 Misty mistake.

and what is the Pokemon 2000 Misty mistake?

The girl in P2k somehow knows Misty's name without it being told to her.

Giovanni's got just one son though, which, although mainly mentioned in Fire Red/Leaf Green, has appeared in the anime (although in shadow). His son is Silver (the rival from Gold and Silver). Who, on the topic of hair color comparison, has crimson hair

I already told you guys. THERE IS AN OFFICIAL ANSWER. Ash's dad was a wandering traveler who fell in love with Delia after Ash was born.

The only question there should be now is if this wandering traveler is someone we have seen in the Anime.

I don't know if anyone said this yet, but Ash's dad is most definatly the Magicarp salesman.

"Final debate." What's more likely is we get fifty more posts whining about hair colour and obscure "references" that mean nothing.

I'm too lazy to comb through this thread looking for it, but you people ought to remember that the thing with Ash's mother referring to his father in the first few episodes was a dub fabrication. Said father isn't mentioned anywhere in the Pokémon universe. There is no possible way to know who it is. End of debate.

You people need to go write a fanfic, as you're essentially doing it anyway.

I've read on a Nintendo Magazine that the real father of Ash is a Simpson character... that's why he never change his clothes

Best suggestion IMO I always thought that. Keep in mind that would make Ash and Silver brothers whereas if Oak was Ash's Dad it would make Ash Gary's uncle LOL. It's really the whole seperated at birth thing, the more you try and find a reasonable solution the more unreasonable you have to be to defend it.

Oh, people, people

Ash's father is clearly Bill Clinton

in any case, methinks the VERY last episode of Pokemon for Ash (whenever that will be), will most likely involve beating his dad. Then they'll bring out an alt series with worse charcters- much like Yugioh did with GX

No, I think he meant a full fledged spin-off, with a set plot and set characters, as opposed to the fun random stories that make up Chronicles. I agree that that will happen, but not the very last episode. Most spin-offs start when the series is only about halfway finished *recalls Buffy/Angel and Stargate SG-1/Atlantis* so, if they did come out with a spin-off of Pokemon, which will probably be better than the origibnal like with Yu-gi-oh and GX. However, back to business. There is no doubt in my mind that Ash and Richie are long lost brothers, and Richie better darn well be in Daimond and Pearl (the show, not the game. I got so mad when the Hoenn saga ended and Richie hadn't shown up, and the same with the end of Battle Frontier), but aside from my magic pikachu theory, which is a load of bull, I haven't the slightest idea of who Ash's father could possibly be. However, my vote goes for some really strong not met before trainer who will probably face against Ash in a climactic series finale that will determine which of them is to be called the greatest Pokemon Master ever. Oh, and just to clear things up, because I'm sick of this mistake popping up everywhere, if Oak was Ash's father (which I totally think is absurd), that would make Ash either Gary's uncle, or, much less likely, his father. And if you don't think it possible, just ask my aunt. She's only got 6 months on me.
