Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

About Worlds location

I believe that good collaboration and communication with Europe could make that problem go away or make overcoming that easier.

About the raising player numbers thing:

Having worlds in France (Or the UK or Germany for that matter) would not raise the amount of players in the other countries, maybe even not in the entire host country.

Also, AFAIK, hotels in Europe are much more expensive than hotels in the US.
In addition, in the US, you pay for each hotel room per night, in Europe (Atleast those countries I have been in) the roomrates raise and drop according to the number of people in the room.
Hotels are an expense to take into account, and you would be surprised how little difference you would end up with between 1 week at a European hotel+Airfare and 1 week at an American hotal+Airfare if you for example shared room with 4 friends.

If PUI were to hold worlds in Europe, the best way to prepare would be to first hold worlds in a major American city-one more similar to the major cities in Europe. New York, Chicago, Boston, etc. would be good examples.

Cold statistics. Please. Get real. How do you think people make informed decisions about things? With 'cold statistics'.

And we only advance in society by suspending our disbelief. I doubt that Euclid could have proved that there are an infinite number of prime numbers without disregarding all popular theorems. I also doubt that Shakespeare would have had success with his completely new style of writing unless he tried it out, rather than following old traditions.

I'll leave it at that, it's clear and concise.

Reasons for the Western coast of the US:
1. It is the closest middle point between the 2 largest player bases in the world, Japan and the US.

Japan... Lol, even though I agree that it makes sense to have Worlds in the US, this argument is pretty bad. There are like 20 japanese poeple (Okay, more, but you get the picture) at Worlds, so I doubt those few people have ANY impact AT ALL on where Worlds is held.

don´t forget that where the game come from---japan.

i think thay have a big influence where worlds are. and europe is much more expensiver for them than the usa

i´m a player from europe by the way.

and just to say, 2008 german nats 298 players

Population
USA 305.548.183
Germany 82.117.000

Players at national

usa....dont know 1000?
germany 298

now compare the population and the player base and you will see its near balanced.

I hope worlds will hold in europe some day, but i realize the cost of shipping, and so on....

First off, I think having outside the US is more a money issue than anything.

Secondly, the first place that they will have a Worlds that is outside of the US if there that is not in the US would be Japan.

The US has the most players going to worlds so Pokemon USA holds it in The US. It would be nice to travel to other countries but that would mean more travel money for pokemon USA to give out.
