Unown G is good against lots of SF decks.
Regi and Machamp both do not own AMU.
What Machamp plays Mesprit? And if it does, how many does it run? Not many methinks.
OHKO every turn? Lol, ever heard of Unown G?
Machamp with Mesprit, I suppose. Not all decks are net lists. I saw benched Mesprits.
GUARD is a PokePower. Mesprit = No Unown G.

How many Machamps have you seen with Mesprit in them?
You must have had REALLY bad AMU's in your area if they always lose to Champ and Gigas...
And did you ever think that the AMU player just might lock YOU first? OMG, a deck that actually uses Mesprit as one of the MAIN POKEMON might get it out before the tech one in a Machamp deck???!!! Who EVER would have thought that.... *sighs*
1. At a cities. But it did great.
I never said it was popular. Just that it exists.
So maybe that wasn't such a great point. Still, something to consider.
Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:
AMU does poorly against almost everything but Abomasnow. It's not really a popular deck anymore.
The point is, Mesprit hurts AMU. Especially against Champ. Regi blasting them for 100 and destroying their hand/deck while they're locked hurts too.
Bottom line, AMU vs. Machamp isn't in AMU's favor. You'll need a ton of Unown G's. Regigigas can't be stopped by anything short of a Supreme Blast (though a T-1 Mesprit can hurt him).
Oops, my bad- I clicked new posts, and this thread popped up. I should've checked the date.
AMU is alot better than you think, have you actually played it vs Machamp/Regi or are you just assuming that they'd win because they "own" everything in this format. The only reason no one plays AMU nowadays is because Stormfront brought in some radically game changing cards and people moved on. AMU is still a good deck and did win many city championships.
I never said AMU was a bad deck. I said it has a lot of bad matchups my local metagame. Namely, Machamp and Regigigas. No, I've never played AMU against Regigigas or Machamp, nor am I making assumptions. I don't have to stick my hand in the fire to know that it burns. I've seen numerous matches played out. It's very hard, understandably, for AMU to take the win against either.
But that where your WRONG!
Regigigas and Machamp are BOTH favorable matchups for AMU. Its hare for either gigas or machamp to win against AMU, not the other way around. You must have very bad AMU's in your area if they lose to Champ and Gigas.
Machamp does NOT OHKO my pixies, as I will ALWAYS make sure to have Unown G on them when against champ. In the Regi matchup as long as a snow point is in play- theres a decent chance of one of us playing it down- my pixies agan can not be OHKO'd. Please explain to me why on earth I would only have 2 Mesprit LA? Even better, please explain why I would need to lock them more than 3 times?
Your entire argument is that Champ and Regi can OHKO the pixies in my deck. Mesprit can OHKO ever card in either of those decks, so by your logic it is AMU that should always win.
Why would I need 4 Unown G to stop Champ? That makes NO sense at all, as I only need 1 per attacking pixie. Champ is WEAK to me, and theres a very good chance it won't ever even get to set up against me. Just Uxie Lv.x is enough to cause major damage to a Champ deck, and your seriously telling me that a deck that is BASED around it won't be able to beat Champ?
Palkia lv.x RUINS Machamp, as I'll compleatly destroy any setup you may get very quickly. Palkia lv.x with Mesprit Lv.x also majorly hurts Regi, as they can never get their Gigas or Palkia lv.x out.
Man I wish that I could sit back and eat some popcorn while watching this thread be argued in real life.
Anyway I've seen AMU beat very good Regigigas, but I don't see how either deck could be considered to have an auto win vs the other.
One thing that I have seen missing from this discussion is Azelf MT. Making Regi use 4 / 5 energy instead of 3 / 4 can end up being pretty big after an OHKO.
