Ok, people have declared the G(good)DIFs to be:

LuxChomp/BLG
Sablelock/Chenlock
Vilegar/trainerlock
Machamp/Machamp Umbreon
Gyarados

lets look at Machamp's matchups against the other Tier one decks.

vs. LuxChomp- 90/10
vs. Sablelock- 70/30
vs. TrainerLock- 60/40
vs. Mirror- 50/50
vs. Gyarados- 40/60

What's the BDIF? (cough Machamp cough)

shuppet was no joke went crazy at south florida cities after box of fails article last year lol it was a really really good list! your not supposed to post good lists on the internet! All you had to do was run one less uxie... uh nostalgia so hard just now. regardless because of that article i had to tech in dialga at cities in my luxchomp so i wouldnt get rolled on. some even teched mewtwo into their blazerays

You know what I mean. Last format. Actually, right now, until there is a new BDIF.

The fact that their isn't a BDIF yet automatically makes that wrong, since we can't pretend Luxchomp is the BDIF because you already said their isn't a BDIF.

vs. Gengar - 20-80
vs. Any other Stage 2 Not Fighting Weak - 30-70
vs. Any other Stage 1 Not Fighting Weak - 30-70

AKA while Macheap may be good for skillless players who love to donk and in SP-Without-Macheap-Counters-Infested areas, it flatout fails against everything else.

BDIF= deck played by the most people that garners the most wins...

This does not mean it is the BEST POSSIBLE DECK in format...it is simply the deck copied and played by the most people because it does well...

If 1 person plays a single deck that beats ALL decks and wins multiple tourneys...but no one else plays it...is it the best deck in format?

Food for thought...

Get out there and figure out how to create your own BDIF...don't rely on someone else to tell you what is possible

Machamp Umbreon has a 60/40 matchup, at least mine does. With the rest of your matchups, you are not taking into account donks or Machamp Prime. That makes a huge difference.

OK guys. STOP NOW! Why the heck does there have to be a BDIF?

Y'all do realize that we have like 11 freaking sets in this format? Like that's A LOT!!
So our card pool is ridic. So there's no BDIF. SP varients, Machamp, Vilegar, and Gyarados along with all the other random stuff are all good decks and can win or lose.

If y'all havent noticed. This format sucks. Just like last format. Diversity is ONLY good in moderation. When u physically CANNOT METAGAME u have a skilless bad format. In the Plox format that everybody hated, we actually had a balanced format towards the end with cards like Cessation and Beach to balance things out and Empoleon having a 50-50 against it.

So stop talking about BDIFs if there OBVIOUSLY is none

I'm going to disagree and say there is a BDIF. The best deck in format is just a deck which has the best matchups against everything, not all the Tier 1 decks have the exact same matchups when they're averaged out. The only difference is at the moment, there's not a big gap between the BDIF and other Tier 1 decks.

Kid, I think you need to learn how to play the game before you go off saying stuff like that.

There's OBVIOUSLY a BDIF. You guys just refuse to accept it for what it is.

And the format is the best that it has been in a really long time, there's so many decks! =D=D=D

I believe there is a BDIF (not meaning that it beats out EVERY deck but it has good matchups across the board). I won't say which one it is for fear of getting flamed :p. This is my 1st year playing Pokemon, not just competitively but really just playing the TCG in its entirety, and I love this format. Sure I haven't experienced the other formats before this, and I'm not saying this is the BEST format, but there is so much variety in decks that it makes for an interesting format. This format offers players to be able to choose from a plethora of decks that suit their taste in how they want to play, whether they want to donk (Machamp), lock (Vilegar, Sablelock), etc.

Also, having a certain metagame is actually not that good. You know what decks you will face and then tech for them and tada!! you're all set. With diversity, players have to step up their game and play their deck in a different way in order to cover different matchups since teching your deck for everything is really bad.

And to those that complain about SP running wild...well if there wasn't SP's, there's going to be something else. People will complain about Gyarados having such an OP attack, Vilegar ruining decks that rely on trainers, or even Donphan because its so fast and has such a cheap attack. SP decks are so creative and really rely on the player to exploit and think outside the box (not really outside the box but to think more creatively) to win games. I really respect good SP players for how they can command their deck the way they do. BTW, before people start bashing me for talking in such a good note for SPs, I run Vilegar so its not like I'm the obsessive SP fanboy.

So umm...if I offended people, sorry I guess but that's just my 2 cents.

So many decks that all win by either getting cheap prizes or donks, when's the last time you saw a deck win through actually getting a good setup?

Oh yeah. GG........

^ ^
so what do you think the BDIF is?

I personally feel that Luxchomp has a slight edge over everything else and is BDIF, but there isn't a huge difference between playing that or something like Gyarados/Machamp/Dialgachomp.
