Both Apache and mySQL are extremely stable, secure, and very easy to work with.

I know that they are used on 80%+ of production web sites (well, I know about Apache, less so about mySQL - but that's so 'behind the scene'). I know Oracle costs a ton... I know we are constantly patching our M$ products

I don't know if this is intentional or not, but in people's Profiles, the "Additional Info about ___" box has a dark gray background now, making it hard to read the black text. Making it white again would fix that. Thanks.

Oh, disregard the above complaint - I found it again (duh, "New Posts", how long has that been there??? I could swear it wasn't there a minute ago - well, alright, yesterday, or whenever...)

It won't let me log out, I click "Log Out", the page comes up that says "all cookies cleared", I go to another site, come back, and I'm still logged in.

you go to edit subscriptions in your user CP (top left), check all subscriptions you dont want, then at the bottom of the table click delete OK.

I'm not sure if this is an error or not, because i cant seem to remember. In the Anime Section, was there ever a scroll to the older threads? I dont see a page index of pages of threads. Is this how it's supposed to be? Thanks.

Oh, and is there a way to switch back to the old style of the forums. I remember there was a style chooser, but i cant seem to find it anymore. I want to go back to the old one where there were pokéballs up top for quick log out and quick links. Thanks again.

That style is long gone. With the upgrade of vB to gamma 7 came a new default layout and system. This new system is much easier to handle and maintain. All of the features, plus some, that were on that bar are still available in the top menu... just in a different form

Is there a limit on how long a post can be??? I don't get this while trying a test of a 1 character post...

This isn't really a bug or error, but a technical question. I've noticed when I have the "Who's Online" page open, it reloads automatically after awhile... how long does it take before it reloads on it's own?

Just a few seconds, actually. You can check this by watching how your own status will change from "Viewing ___" to "Viewing who's online".

Try clearing out your cookies. More than likely you cookies are messed up in some way. Clearing them out of your system and refreshing it will more than likely fix your problem.

apparently more and more people are running into the same (or similar ) problem that I posted above - timing out when trying to edit a lengthy post. myst has mentioned it on his Origins topic and now bjj on his trade thread.

I used a workaround in that I parceled my long post out to three and was finally eable to get everything posted in this manner.

BJJ came up to me about this a week or two ago. I'll just let you know the same thing. Our host has a 30 second limit on page loads. On long posts the 30 second limit is exceeded and times out. There isn't much I can do about this, since I don't have control over the server. I will speak with Mark about modifying it... see if he'll agree or not. If he doesn't, then we'll just have to make sure we don't make the posts excessively long.
