I mean that they have to choose between killing Calydol and killing something else on the bench.

Besides, it does help evo dex against SP.
 
I'm convinced that people calling for a Claydol reprint hate this game and/or themselves.

You understand that the point of a collectible card game is that there's an ever changing format of cards, and that part of what keeps things interesting is playing with new and interesting cards, yes?
 
We will get new, interesting cards :)

Claydol will change the format of cards by making decks like Luxpluff and Mother Gengar more viable.
 
Yep, Claydol (a card that's been around for years) will sure make the format better by bringing back two decks that we're played a year ago. How new, interesting, and fun! I can't wait to play my 4 Roseanne's and 2-2 Claydol at Regionals EVERY YEAR~!
 
OK...

So we have Luxchomp, Gyarados, and a bit of Dchomp and Vilegar dominating. Should Claydol come out, we would have those decks, plus:

Flygon decks
Random Stage 2 Decks
Cursegar
Luxpluff

and many more.

I don't think it'd hurt the format. It would probably help it if anything.
 
Yes, or new cards could be made that would spawn entirely new decks as well as give a rebirth to older ideas, instead of an old card that was in the format for years coming back and giving rebirth to older ideas.
 
We are getting new cards. We may be getting old cards.

Claydol.reprint is cool, but I'd like to see new good cards as well, don't get me wrong.

I actually think a reprint of Claydol would make more decks viable, and make the game more interesting. We have a pretty stale format at the moment, I'd happily take a Claydol reprint if it changed that.
 
I doubt they'd reprint anything outside of HGSS block... My speculation on reprinted cards:
Houndour UD
Pokemon Collector
Jumpluff line
 
I think it would be cool if they gave us HGSS Stage 2s like Feraligatr or Jumpluff and then older stage 1 and 2 cards so we would have better evolution lines

Like the Skiploom from SW or the Croconaw from MT
 
If you guys remember the Blaziken that was printed in EX Power Keepers? That was brought from all the way back to EX Ruby and Sapphire. That was the first set in the EX series. I am sure that some very old cards will be reprinted.

As someone else pointed out in a different thread, despite it being a "very old set" at the time, EX: Ruby and Sapphire and Ex Power Keepers were still in the same set block, where as DP/PL set block and HG/SS are notabley different. Doesn't mean it won't happen, but either claim makes sense.
