You pay 80$ for a box and get: 1/2 Smeargle + 4 Energies + 3/4 Lost World. Smeargle will probably be 3$ or something, Lost World 12/15$ which leaves energies at about 10? Just assumptions of course
Those Shiny Pokemon should still be worth several dollars each. -.-

Also, it's worth noting that there is a corrected version of Phanpy already, so it's possible that the typo version will end up being worth something.

Could be useful to us to help determine the costs, and if buying a box is worth it

Also, how is the Shiny-To-Pack ratio? (This for the kiddos mostly)

There is no way to know that without opening up a box. It's just not possible to base a prerelease pulls off how many or how rare something is.

10$ for a foil energy seems like a lot. However saying that, I guess it could happen, but even the Emerald Energy which were a bit more common and the coolest in most peoples opinion are only about 2-3 when they were in the most demand and they are about the same right now. Granted I don't see how the RH energy will be worth more than 4 or 5 if that. I will say that if they decided to combine the HGSS and Emerald Energy, then that WOULD be something. :thumb:

I thought the set would have no value, but looking at it right now, I'm not sure, it is one of those things that it may have value, but the problem is the value has to equal the cost of what it would take to buy a box. I'm not sure if it does or doesn't. Ratio is the key. If the Shinies are more common then the set most likely would be not valued as high. If they are rarer, then the set will go up in value, not sure if the set is the best/worst ever, but it right now seems like it would give the other sets a run for their money.

Shinies seem to be one to two per box and there are eleven of them. They'll be worth a decent amount despite how bad they are.

I know I'll be in the minority on this, but that's the best news I have heard about this set since it was named a reprint set + a few new cards. If that is the case, it would take about 6 boxes to get a full set, and that would mean that each card would go to Ex Values, which would be nice and actually make the set worth buying, even if it is only a tiny bit.

It would also mean that the little kids will be even MORE disappointed that they got literally nothing of interest in their 6 packs, and thus they move on to the next set.

Which would make the shinies worth EVEN MORE in the long haul since less people opening packs would mean less boxes are printed and the shinies would be in lower circulation.

Which would mean that since they would be worth MORE, more people would buy boxes to try and get them, and that would LOWER the cost

Which is only good for the secondary market, NOT for the primary one.

what is the prerelease card?

this is very frustrating that the rh energies are 3-4 per box only-.-. If there are a better ratios, some players might buy boxes or booster, but now i doubt.

The prerelease card is Snorlax.
