Does anyone think that once Poke-Turn, Energy Gain, Gyarados SF and Machamp SF are out of the format, that the Pokemon in this set will become more playable?

Gengar Prime will still be legal, and the cards in this set are all reprints anyway.

In short, no.

The set is awful, there is a general consensus about this. If P!P realized this, making the two things (RH Energy/Shinings) in the set that is kind of cool, rarer makes sense from a business standpoint. We have to make the product, but it's not anywhere close to good, how can we still get people to buy it? Easy, make the cards that people do want a little bit rarer to help people who collect buy more to get them.

Makes perfect sense to me.

The theme decks are Lucario+Typhlosion and Tangrowth+Meganium, no Lost World in either of them.

EDIT! and yay! Plastic deckboxes!

I can confirm that Lost Remover is in the set, 100%. I saw people use it at the PR and I have some myself.

Too bad Dialga's Attack wasn't "Both player's shuffle their hands into their decks". That might be interesting, even though the Energy cost is enormous.
