I am really not a fan of the set, and I think it was really dumb that they chose not to make English exclusive cards, but it has a few gems. It is still arguably one of the worst sets we have had since the game started, but there isn't much worth complaining since they can't go 88 miles per hour and go back to change the set list.

Some gems
1. Holo energy (which are really difficult to come by from what I have seen)
2. Smeargle (obviously)
3. Pachirisu
4. Lost World (obviously)
5. Mr Mime
6. Umbreon
7. Slowking
8. Mime jr.

And of course there is really good art work on most of the cards.

Set is horrible of course, can anyone confirm or deny the fact that lost world is in a theme deck?

I was passed a pack in the booster draft that had two Lost World Stadiums, one RH one regular.

I passed on an Ho-oh as I did not know that it was rarem but I did get a Lugia, so I dont know how hard they are to get as I had two in 5 packs. I also passed on a Holo Fire energy as I did not knowthat was reare either. I did collect 14 RH cards during the draft so it was worthwile for that.

You hated the set so much that you spent $25 more to draft it?

What the...
The shinies are basically reprints of the rares but with different art work and holo treatment...LOLWUT!??!?!
Such a FAIL.

Exactly. Now the little kids can play with their (relitivly) easy to get legendaries until they can trade for the... prittier... version... of the same card... :nonono:

Also, it's worth noting that there is a corrected version of Phanpy already, so it's possible that the typo version will end up being worth something.
At the Prerelease yesterday, I got 4 Phanpy in the COL booster packs. In the packs given before the tournament I got 3 misprinted versions, and in the packs given after the tournament I got 1 corrected version!

Other way around...

The Shinies came first, and the holos were brand new reprints from Nintendo.

The thing that surprises me, is that the set has an insane percentage for holos. For a set with 106 cards to have 22 holos at the beginning, 11 secret holos, and another 8 cards that only come in RH, is an insane ratio. That means that out of 106 cards, 41 of them come in holo in their NORMAL state and of those 19 come ONLY in holo. That's totally insane. 38% comes in holo originally and 18% comes ONLY in holo.

Drew

Not really a surprise given that it is primarily reprints. I might have been surprised if it was an all-foil set but even then only a little.

Ok, i get that this isn't a great set (though as a collector as well as a player i think a lot of the artwork is RAD! Not to mention the holo energies are gonna be sweet) but has anyone realised how much fun the pre-releases are gonna be to compete in?

Lots of draw power and search (PONT, Copycat, Elm, Interviewer's. Relicanth, Misdreavous) not to mention some decent cards when you power them up (Typhlosion etc). Some fun stuff can also be done with Pachirisu :D

Only lost remover stands a chance of getting into any deck i make (save for the holo energies) but i'm going to 2 pre-releases next weekend (and maybe 2 the week after) and i think it's gonna be lots of fun.

Then the set should be easy to collect ( :D ) and we can wait for the B+W set. And THAT has some awesome game-changing cards!

This set will be very difficult for collectors. >.< (Those that decide to collect it, that is.) The ratios are starting to surface, and it's looking like 2-3 shinies and 2-3 shiny energy per box. if you're unlucky with shinies, that means you could open FIVE BOXES and not get them all. That's bad. >.< Also, in a PR with almost 70 players, we got ONE pulled shiny Raikou out of all of them. Looks like it's the rarest card in the set.

Also, for those who were concerned about Lost World's rarity, it looks like it is the rarest of the TSS, but not by much. Looking like about 3-4 a box so far. TSS seem to be really easy to pull, I had a pack that all three uncommon spots were TSS, and the RH spot, too! (Interviewer's, Copycat, Lost Remover, and Lost World, in case anyone wondered.)

I agree i didn't even know entei succine and raikou were in the set none that i saw at our events. We saw Lugia, dexoys , kyogre, ho-oh and dailga. The shinings seem very hard to pull. And the energies are as well their price for energies are going to b ridiculous.

yeah the shinys are a bit rare, I wonder how much they're going to be worth considering they're terrible
also they used the worst holo effect for energys :(

nice reprints though, great set for new players
