Should we really worry about being to afford Rayquaza at this time? I mean, Garchomp/Altaria should do fine without it. Just substitute Terrakion or a similar tech card.

Its not for Garchomp/Altaria, its against it. It pretty much donks every basic that deck plays.

Hopefully we get the promo Rayquaza that japan got as well before regionals.
 
Considering the promo has Nobunaga in the background, it is extremely doubtful. It was a promo for Conquest and that ship has sailed.

I wonder when we will get the promo rayquaza and giratina EX?
 
The Rayquaza will probably be released in a box set or something.

They released Mewtwo and Darkrai... why not this? And this is an even more extreme situation. Though to be fair, not every deck will play Rayquaza and the ones that do won't play more than 1-2. So it's not totally terrible.

When exactly did Pokemon adopt the Yughio method of creating mega/ultra/insanely rare tier 1 cards? :nonono:
 
So let me get this straight, a straight TURD of a pokemon like Alomomola is a rare, but something extremely playable like Bouffalant that was previous a gorgeous rare holo is now nerfed to the status of a nonholo uncommon? Seriously who at TPCi makes these decisions?
 
Is it just me, or has the text of the game been dumbed down slightly since B&W was released? Also, does it seem like the game in general has been dumbed down somewhat?

Milotic was a holo in the Japanese set as well.

Regarding the text/wording of the game, i think you are getting dumbed down confused with concise and straightforward, which is great really. There's been so many cards in the past that have just been a giant wall of text so massive it was a daunting task just to interpret its effect on the game, mainly back in the WotC days.

I'm saddened ny the fact thety changed Bouffalnt's anility name from "Afro Guard" to "Bouffer". I was really looking forward to that. :frown:

By the way, how do you pronounce "Bouffer"? Is it pronounced like "Buffer" or "Boofer"? I can understand it being a pun like "Sporprise."
 
Boh-ffer.
Guess I'ma try to judge as many events as I can. No way am I gonna shell out mad money for a rayquaza that should get reprinted in the next set. Unless of course I'm wrong and we never get Dragon Selection state-side.
My vote for Worlds Promo 2012: Tropical Rayquaza.
 
I just wish we wouldnt get rares like houndoom every set, seriously?! Especially when there is a card like bouffalant that is uncommon. This trend of putting completly awful foils/rares started with hgss, I wonder why :/

Also rayquaza shiny only sucks, I guess well just play brs without it since no one will be willing to buy them when they get reprinted in the next set anyways. Still a silly thing to do :/
