Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

ex POWER KEEPERS..... 3 Weeks Away - What's In It?

As I said before, the following EXs are virtually guaranteed:

Absol
Dusclops
Metagross
Salamence
Walrein

That leaves us with 3 spaces. One has to come between Absol and Metagross. 2 have to come after Metagross.

Let's look at some possibilities.

Regirock, Registeel, Regiice - NO

Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza - NO

Celebi, Mew, Jirachi - NO

Venusaur, Blastoise, Charizard - NO

Meganium, Feraligator, Typhlosion - NO

That concludes the NOs. Now we get to the YESs.

Sceptile, Swampert, Blaziken - YES. This is possible, but I don't think it's going to happen, because we just got one of each of these in CG, and Blaziken is already confirmed to be in the set. Could happen though; since the RS E4s Pokemon are in the set, the starters might be in there as well.

Articuno, Moltrez, Zapdos - YES. Actually, this one makes a lot of sense to me. The only currently modified-legal versions of these cards are the stinky promos that were released in those tins a year ago.

3 Completely Random Things - YES. Obviously. PUI could potentially release anything they want, so they're probably going to mess with us and release a bunch of stuff we couldn't expect.

There you go. My opinions of just what we can expect in the next few days.

Speculation. Metagross is confirmed. Also, the set seems to be based around the Elite 4 and the Champion. What are the signature Pokemon for each of the E4 and the Champion? The 5 that FS listed. There might be a 6th (Wallace), but that one is far more difficult to guess as to which one would be used. For reference, the Pokemon of the E4 and Champion (*=highest level):

Sydney:
Mightyena, Shiftry, Cacturne, Crawdaunt, Absol*

Phoebe:
Dusclops x2*, Banette x2, Sableye

Glacia:
Sealeo x2, Glalie x2, Walrein*

Drake:
Shelgon, Altaria, Flygon, Kingdra, Salamence*

Wallace:
Wailord, Tentacruel, Ludicolo, Milotic*, Wishcash, Gyarados

Steven:
Skarmory, Armaldo, Metagross*, Cradilly, Claydol, Aggron

Metagross is already known, plus we have Phoebe and Sydney already referenced in the set through Stadiums. The thought is that each of the E4+Champion will be represented through their Pokemon-ex, as well as a Trainer of some sort.

My thoughts exactly, if you go back to post 85, although, I'm not to sure about the "highest level for each team being made into an Ex" theory. I wouldn't be suprised if this was true. The extra 2 Ex's could be another one from each of the champions, so what pokemon from Steven's and Wallace's teams have the second highest level?
Just hope the scans are up on Pokebeach before Sunday.

Full Set List On Pokebeach!!!!

Dear GOD. That's like... Raining Blood.

Gatsu, i thought you said it had a drawback?! Ttar ex UF discards the top 3 of the deck, and it's got a more complex attack cost .__.

Geeez... SallyGross just got a huge boost.

Flygon ex 150HP

Poké-Body Psychic Protector
If Flygon ex is damaged by an opponent's attack, you may discard up to 4 cards from your hand. If you do so, any damage done to Flgyon ex is reduced by 10 for each card you discarded.

Wow! That has to be the worst Flygon I've ever seen!

Salamence ex 160HP

[RRCC] Volcanic Flame 150
Discard the top 5 cards from your deck.

[WWCC] Hydro Wave
Discard all W energy attached to Salamence ex. This attack does 30 damage to each of your opponent's benched Pokémon. (Don't apply weakness or resistance for benched Pokémon)

O my dear god. Please pardon my language, I am just in shock.

That is reallllly sick. At least it is not d, that would be incredibly sick.

Wow, that is all I have to say.

Glacias stadium+Walrein ex FTW.

Lol, glacia's stadium+medicham ex+Walrein ex PK= power shut down and trainer shut down.

Dude... that's just insane! First attack will practically kill anything in the format! Sure, you sacrifice 5 cards, but there's cards that can help you recycle those cards back through.

Second attack is too costly for what it does.

Claydol ex 120HP

Poké-Power Type Shift
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may use this power. Claydol ex's type is F until the end of your turn.

[CC] Psychic Boom 20+
Does 20 damage plus 10 more damage for each Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon.

[PPC] Shadow Crush 60
You may discard a P Energy card attached to Claydol ex. If you do, discard an Energy card attached to the Defending Pokémon.

Weakness: P
Resistance: none
Retreat: CC
Meh, just an average Pokemon. The two attacks don't compliment each other at all. IMO this shouldn't even be an EX.

Flygon ex 150HP

Poké-Body Psychic Protector
If Flygon ex is damaged by an opponent's attack, you may discard up to 4 cards from your hand. If you do so, any damage done to Flygon ex is reduced by 10 for each card you discarded.

[CCC] Slashing Strike 70
Flip a coin. If tails, Flygon ex can't use Slashing Strike during your next turn.

Weakness: C
Resistance: L/F
Retreat: none
The Body is... interesting, but not all that good IMO, especially since the attack doesn't have to do anything with the discarding, which it should IMO. There's just no synergy.

Drake's Stadium

Any damage done to (C) Active Pokémon (both yours and your opponent's) by an opponent's attack is reduced by 10 (after applying Weakness and Resistance).
Pass.

Glacia's Stadium

Each player's (W) Pokémon (excluding Pokémon-ex) has no weakness.

It's like the WP Energy card but in stadium format.

omg Glacia's Stadium was going to be so good until i read the fine print oh well. Flygon was done wrong, I still dont know what to think about sally, claydol is meh, drakes stadium is nice. But overall WE HAVE THE CAT BACK and even better we have gardy back there are too many ideas zooming through my head right now

Sally is good, but he can't really do anything until he has 4 energies though. Meteor falls or memory berry might be of some use until he gets fully powered up. or maybe swampert ex. idk but he sure is a beast.

The ex's are very disappointing, hopefully they'll at least have some nice artwork. I am just curious to see the new charizard

Charizard 120 HP

[R] Combustion 30

[RRCC] Bursting Inferno 50
Each defending Pokémon is now Burned.

Weakness: W
Resistance: none
Retreat cost: CC
