That does it for cardmaking for EX: Ranger: Shadows of Almia. DS-transmittable data starts in my next post.

Remember, all Diamond/Pearl transmittable data for this set requires Trainers' Resort have been activated. See the first piece of data for EX: Diamond & Pearl: The Wild for the data.

This first piece of data deals with the Pokémon cards for this set; cards with both A and B versions use the A versions for this piece of data. Those not compatible are all Pokémon-ex, all Pokémon-*, the secret cards, and the B versions of cards that have both A and B versions. To transmit this piece of data, you'll need to transmit the password on a Pokémon card to the Tajiri server, and follow that up with the universal confirmation password. The confirmation password is still "C4F-4M0-Vxx", where xx denotes a two-letter version identifier; here, DI is for Diamond and PE is for Pearl. Make sure the matching game is in the DS slot on your DS.

Once the piece of data is transmitted, head for the North Yield Hut in Trainers' Resort. There, you'll find the Pokémon in question. Its level depends the Pokémon's stage and Jackpot Battle status, look it up under "North Yield Hut" in the Trainers' Resort data for EX: Diamond & Pearl: The Wild. You can battle the Pokémon like you would any other wild Pokémon. In addition to its normal moves, the Pokémon will know a move it can't normally learn. That move depends on the transmission, you'll find the specific data at the bottom of each card. You can't catch more than 4 Pokémon that are banned from Jackpot Battle on any difficulty per week, which begins on either Sunday or Monday, depending on the country of origin of the Diamond/Pearl in question. You can't catch more than 1 of the same species each day.

Here's the chart of levels for reference:

If it hatches from an egg (Phione and Manaphy excepted): It will appear at level 1
If it is a Basic card in the TCG that has a pre-evolution that doesn't require incense breeding: It will appear at level 3
If it is a Stage 1 card in the TCG and doesn't evolve from a fossil: It will appear at level 3
If it is a Stage 2 card in the TCG and its Basic isn't a fossil: It will appear at level 5
If it is a Stage 2 card in the TCG and its Basic is a fossil: It will appear at level 3
If it's Unown: It will appear at level 5
If it's banned from Jackpot Battle at Lame through Easy: It will appear at level 25
If it's banned from Jackpot Battle at Lame through Medium: It will appear at level 50
If it's banned from Jackpot Battle at Lame through Hard: It will appear at level 70
If it's Arceus: It will appear at level 100

And the list of Jackpot Battle bans for reference:

Lame through Easy: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Heatran, Regigigas, Cresselia
Lame through Medium: Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina
Lame through Hard: Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin
Lame through Ultra: Arceus

This piece of data deals with the B version holographic and normal rare Pokémon cards for this set; remember, only cards of Pokémon that naturally appear in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia have B versions, those that don't aren't split into A and B versions. To transmit this piece of data, you'll need to transmit the password on all of the B version holographic and uncommon Pokémon cards to the Tajiri server. Make sure Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia is in the DS slot on your DS.

Once the passwords are transmitted, you'll be able to undertake a whole new mission. If you need to stop your progress in the middle of a mission, look for a noticeboard in a populated area. On it are a set of four quick passwords that you can use instead of the individual card passwords. These passwords will allow you to resume your progress in the mission from the mission you were at when you chose to quit.

You must have a completed Ranger Browser up to 267 in order to take on this mission. Any Pokémon findable in this mission that aren't in the Ranger Browser will not appear in the Browser even after you've spotted that Pokémon. The mission begins as soon as you begin the game.

Roark's Mission: Fossils of Peril
An alert has been sent out. Head to Vientown and talk to Barlow. He'll tell you that a gym leader from Sinooh has been seen in these parts, appearing to be looking for fossils in the area of the Peril Cliffs. However, a bunch of Pokémon in the area have been causing problems. Head for the Peril Cliffs and you'll meet up with Roark. Roark's explaining that a bunch of Rock-type Pokémon are causing complications in his quest to prove that Kabuto once roamed Almia. The real troublemakers are those Rock-types that are not normally found in the area. If you see one of the following, it's a troublemaker you're going to have to get past: Bonsly, Sudowoodo, Golem, Nosepass, Probopass, Aerodactyl. Once you've taken care of every single one of those species in the area, return to Roark, only to see him being attacked by a Tyranitar! Take care of Tyranitar, but Tyranitar won't go down without a fight. Once the fight ends, Tyranitar will open a hole underneath you and drop you into a cavern! Explore this nearly-empty cavern wherein lies only one Pokémon: a Kabuto (Water-type, Soak x2 field move, Water-type assist). Make sure you successfully capture it. Once you do, Roark will drop into the cavern using a rope and help you up. Once you're back on the surface, he'll see the Kabuto you captured from that cavern, and he'll tell you that, if he just takes a picture of you and this Kabuto, that he's got all the proof he needs! The snapshot happens automatically. Once the picture is taken, Roark will thank you for your help.

Gardenia's Mission: Forest Rescue
Once the previous mission is completed, return to Barlow's station. You'll find Gardenia talking to Barlow. Gardenia explains that a woman with a Chansey got lost in the Vien Forest simply trying to cross. Even worse, that woman got lost right when a swarm of Bug-type Pokémon, which she's scared of, were headed for the area! Your goal is to find this lost woman, and Gardenia will loan you a Cacturne (it'll return to Gardenia once its work is done). Once you head into Vien Forest, keep an eye out for the following: Weedle, Kakuna (Bug-type, Tackle x2 field move, Bug-type assist), Beedrill, Combee, Vespiquen, Kricketot, Kricketune, Pineco, Yanmega, Pinsir, Spinarak, Ariados, Ninjask, Scyther, all three forms of Burmy (Bug-type, Tackle x1 field move, Bug-type assist for all forms), all three forms of Wormadam (Bug-type, all forms; Cut x3 field move and Grass-type assist for the grass form, Tunnel field move and Ground-type assist for the sand form, Crush x3 field move and Steel-type assist for the steel form), and Heracross (Bug-type, Crush x5 field move, Fighting-type assist). Vien Forest is full of these Pokémon during this mission. You're also going to need various Cut field moves to complete this task. Around halfway through the task, you'll find the woman's Chansey--but not the woman. Once you've found the Chansey, keep going through your task until you see the woman you're seeking, Cheryl, being attacked by 10 Mothim! Take care of the Mothim and Cheryl'll thank you for coming to her aid. Your task isn't through yet, however--since Cheryl pretty much has no sense of direction, you're going to have to escort Cheryl back to Vientown. Once you get Cheryl back to Vientown, Gardenia will thank you for your help.

Maylene's Mission: Dim Sun Again?!
Once the previous mission is completed, Cheryl'll reveal that another gym leader is currently going back and forth between Pueltown and Boyleland doing research, and that the gym leader in question should arrive in Pueltown soon to pick up a ranger escort. Once you reach Pueltown, however, you'll hear people talking about what appears to be a Team Dim Sun attack in the Boyleland area. If you head to one of the docks, a ship will pull in and someone will walk off. That person reveals that this is the boat Maylene's uses to shuffle back and forth between Pueltown and Boyleland, but this time around Maylene's not aboard! It's at this point either Kate (if your player character is Kellyn) or Kellyn (if your player character is Kate) will appear on the scene and suspect that the talks of trouble in Boyleland are true. Taking Kate/Kellyn along as a partner for this mission, it's time to head off to Boyleland.

Sure enough, Team Dim Sun's here in Boyleland. Here's the breakdown of what the Team Dim Sun Grunts send out: 40 Pichu, 8 Pikachu, 1 Raichu, 9 Pachirisu, 21 Shinx, 7 Luxio, 1 Luxray, 30 Magnemite, 15 Magneton, 2 Magnezone, 10 Elekid, 6 Electabuzz, 1 Electivire, 25 Voltorb, 5 Electrode, 8 Chinchou, 1 Lanturn, 2 Jolteon, 11 Mareep, 6 Flaaffy, 1 Ampharos, 2 Plusle (Electric-type, Electrify x2 field move, Electric-type assist), and 2 Minun (Electric-type, Flash field move, Charge-type assist). Once you've gotten by everyone, Maylene'll appear on the scene and thank both you and Kate/Kellyn for your help in getting her out of Team Dim Sun trouble--right as an elite Team Dim Sun Grunt emerges onto the scene! This Grunt throws out 3 Raichu, 1 Plusle, 1 Minun, and 1 Rotom (Ghost-type, Electrify x2 field move, Charge-type assist). Once this grunt is defeated, make your way back through to the ship. However, right before you reach the dock, Heath of the Sinis Trio appears! Heath's shocked that someone managed to find Maylene after the steps he took to assure Maylene wouldn't return to Pueltown. He'll throw out his Magnezone, Rhyperior, and Electivire, along with 2 Rotom and a Raikou (Electric-type, Electrify x3 field move, Electric-type assist)! Once you manage to defeat Heath, he'll gasp in shock at "that sheer luck"! Once Heath's gone from the scene, Maylene'll escort you and Kate/Kellyn back to the ship. Back in Pueltown, Maylene thanks you and Kate/Kellyn for protecting her while getting her out of there, and reveals that there's someone in Haruba Village looking for you before both she and Kate/Kellyn leave the area.

Crasher Wake's Mission: Desert Rescue
Once the previous mission is completed, head to the ranger station in Haruba Village. You'll find Crasher Wake there looking for someone to talk to. Crasher Wake explains that Ground-type Pokémon have been appearing in force in the Hippowdon Temple, and a young girl freaked out by them is inside and needs to be rescued! Your goal is to rescue this young girl. Crasher Wake will loan you a Gyarados (Water-type, Soak x3 field move, Flying-type assist; it'll return to Crasher Wake once its work is done).

However, getting through the Haruba Desert won't be easy. As it turns out, the "ground-types in force" are appearing in more than just the Hippowdon Temple; be especially wary of the following in both the Haruba Desert and the Hippowdon Temple: Larvitar, Pupitar, Rhyhorn, Rhydon, Rhyperior, Swinub, Piloswine, Mamoswine, Hippopotas, Hippowdon, Trapinch (Ground-type, Cut x1 field move, Ground-type assist), Vibrava (Ground-type, Cut x2 field move, Ground-type assist), Wooper (Ground-type, Tackle x1 field move, Water-type assist), and Quagsire (Ground-type, Tackle x3 field move, Water-type assist). Several usages of various Crush field moves, as well as a Sand Fill, are needed to make it all the way through. Around the entrance to the Hippowdon Temple is an injured Kadabra (Psychic-type, Teleport field move, Psychic-type assist)--you'll get a report from Crasher Wake that the Kadabra's trainer is the one you're out to rescue. Once you've gotten deep into the Hippowdon Temple, you'll eventually find the young girl you're seeking, Mira, being attacked by 8 Sandshrew and 2 Sandslash! Take care of the Sandshrew and Sandlsash and Mira'll thank you for coming to her aid; Crasher Wake will arrive on the scene and thank you for your help as well. At this point, Mira's Kadabra will teleport itself and Mira out of the area.

Fantina's Mission: Chroma Dilemma!
Once the previous mission is completed, two Team Dim Sun goons spray pepper spray from seemingly out of nowhere and subdue your character! Some more Dim Sun agents come onto the scene and take your character away from the scene. All Pokémon with you run away from the scene. Crasher Wake, claiming the need to get help, also runs off.

Back in Vientown, either Kate (if your player character is Kellyn) or Kellyn (if your player character is Kate) and Barlow are discussing some of the events from back in Maylene's mission when Crasher Wake arrives onto the scene. Crasher Wake describes how your character was kidnapped by Team Dim Sun. Right as Barlow is about to respond, however, a Drifblim arrives on the scene with a note. The note is from Fantina; it describes how she's being held by Team Dim Sun in the Chroma Ruins, and Team Dim Sun swears "that top ranger" won't be able to pull off a rescue. The partner Pokémon you had at the time Team Dim Sun made off with you will arrive on the scene and make a beeline for Kate/Kellyn; the Pokémon'll be begging for that ranger to take on this rescue. For this mission, you'll take control of either Kate or Kellyn, depending on which isn't your player character. Note that you won't have all of your character's abilities available to you; whomever you're given control over hasn't risen high enough in the ranks for that yet. Note that the Pokémon you had as the partner Pokémon will be available, but you can't switch.

However, there's trouble upon reaching the Chroma Highlands. Team Dim Sun Grunts are everywhere! Getting past them isn't easy; they'll send out many Fire-type Pokémon out at you! 30 Growlithe, 6 Arcanine, 15 Magby, 20 Magmar, 1 Magmortar, 4 Flareon, 22 Numel, 5 Camerupt, 10 Charmander, 6 Charmeleon, 2 Charizard, 23 Slugma, 11 Magcargo, 15 Chimchar, 10 Monferno, 3 Infernape, 19 Vulpix, 3 Ninetales, 17 Ponyta, 1 Rapidash, 8 Torkoal, 11 Torchic (Fire-type, Burn x1 field move, Fire-type assist), 5 Combusken (Fire-type, Burn x2 field move, Fire-type assist), 1 Blaziken, 7 Cyndaquil (Fire-type, Tackle x1 field move, Fire-type assist), and 1 Quilava (Fire-type, Tackle x2 field move, Fire-type assist) comprise the Pokémon used by these grunts as you make your way through the Chroma Highlands and Chroma Ruins. Since you're not using your chosen ranger, getting through this barrage will be tricky. When Fantina comes into sight, an elite Grunt will arrive on the scene, throwing out 3 Arcanine, a Magcargo, a Rapidash, and a Typhlosion (Fire-type, Tackle x4 field move, Fire-type assist) at you! Once this elite grunt is taken care of, Fantina mentions that your chosen ranger was brought here as well. Right as your chosen ranger comes into sight, Lavana of the Sinis Trio appears! Lavana's shocked that someone managed to rescue Fantina after the steps she took to assure it wouldn't happen. She'll throw out her Infernape and Magmortar, along with two Arcanine, a Torkoal, and an Entei (Fire-type, Burn x5 field move, Fire-type assist)! Once you manage to defeat Lavana, she'll gasp in shock at "that sheer skill"! Once Lavana's gone from the scene, your partner Pokémon will reunite with your chosen ranger, whom control will return to. Fantina leaves the scene after thanking the other ranger for their help.

Byron's Mission: Love in the Seas
Once the previous mission is completed, an alert will come in saying someone's made a house call. Sure enough, if you head to your own house in Chicole Village, there you'll find Byron! There's a Gardevoir standing next to Byron. Byron explains that the Gardevoir's girlfriend has gone missing, and that "a friend of his" is having a bit of trouble getting through where the Gardevoir suspects his girlfriend might be. The assignment: Go to Marine Cave, team up with Byron's friend, and find Gardevoir's girlfriend. Byron will loan you a Bastiodon (it'll return to Byron once its work is done).

You'll find Riley at the entrance to the Marine Cave. Riley explains that a bunch of Steel-types are making it difficult to find Gardevoir's girlfriend, who appears to be trapped inside. Simply put, the troublemakers come in the form of: Forretress, Mawile, Aron, Lairon, Aggron, Skarmory, Scizor, Bronzor, Bronzong, Beldum (Steel-type, Psy Power x1 field move, Psychic-type assist), and Metang (Steel-type, Psy Power x2 field move, Psychic-type assist). Once the Metang start to appear, you're getting close. Ultimately, you'll see a group of four Metagross (Steel-type, Psy Power x3 field move, Psychic-type assist) attacking a Gallade relentlessly. Once Riley explains that the Gallade being attacked is Gardevoir's girlfriend, you'll appear to be slightly confused; Riley explains that he hasn't ran into many female Gallade himself, but assures you that the Gallade really is who you're out to rescue. Take care of the Metagross, then you'll have to escort the Gallade all the way back to your house. Once you've reunited the Gallade with her boyfriend, Byron'll thank you for what you did to reunite this couple, then leave with Riley by his side.

Candice's Mission: Liberate the Cold Camp!
Once the previous mission is completed, you'll recieve an alert to head to Shiver Village to meet someone. Once in Shiver Village, look around and you should find Candice somewhere around the area. Candice says she should be over at the Shiver Camp right now doing research, but there's a lot of goons in the area that would prefer to cause trouble over assisting her in her research!

Those goons are none other than agents of Team Dim Sun, and they're everywhere in Shiver Camp! Here, regular Team Dim Sun Grunts send out Ice-type Pokémon at you, breaking down as follows: 2 Glaceon, 106 Spheal, 50 Sealeo, 11 Walrein, 20 Delibird, 44 Snover, 9 Abomasnow, 62 Snorunt, 10 Glalie, 12 Froslass, 5 Seel (Water-type, Crush x1 field move, Water-type assist), and 1 Dewgong (Ice-type, Crush x3 field move, Ice-type assist). Once you've gotten past all of the regular grunts, Candice will appear--but so will an elite Grunt! This grunt will throw 2 Sealeo, a Walrein, a Glaceon, an Abomasnow, and a Dewgong at you. Once this elite grunt is defeated, search the campsite and you'll eventually run into Ice of the Sinis Trio! Ice's shocked that someone managed to clear out the camp that Team Dim Sun had seemingly perfectly secured. He'll throw out his Froslass, Gallade, and Garchomp, along with two Glalie and a Suicune (Water-type, Soak x3 field move, Water-type assist)! There are some points when Candice may throw some assistance your way, either in the form of Abomasnow or in the form of Weavile. Once you manage to defeat Ice, he'll gasp in shock at "that sheer power"! Once Ice's gone from the scene, Candice will thank you for your help in allowing her to continue her research.

Volkner's Mission: Overcharged Ice Lake
Once the previous mission is completed, you'll recieve an alert to return to school. Return to the Ranger School and you'll find Volkner standing next to one of the teachers. A member of Sinooh's Elite Four is trying to get to Almia Castle in order to help someone lost inside. However, 20 Lanturn in the Ice Lake are shocking everyone who tries to even so much as dip a toe into the lake. Obviously, nobody's been able to get to Almia Castle. Volkner asks you if you can clear out the Lanturn. Once you accept the mission, head for the Ice Lake. Get into the water and search for Lanturn. Do what you want with them, just make sure they're out of the water when you're through with them. Once you've dealt with all 20 Lanturn, head for the entrance of Almia Castle, where Volkner will thank you for clearing out the lake and allowing that Elite Four member to arrive.

Aaron's Mission: Royal Exploration
Once the previous mission is completed, walk into Almia Castle. Aaron will arrive on the scene as well. Aaron heard about you from Volkner, and entrusts you to help with his task. A girl is lost in this castle; she had come here looking for Shaymin. Your goal is to find her and tell her that she's in the wrong part of the country to be looking for Shaymin. Aaron will loan you a Drapion (it'll return to Aaron once its work is done).

Of course, exploring the castle isn't going to be easy. In addition to what you'd normally find in the area, you'll also run into Kabuto, Kakuna, all three forms of Burmy, all three forms of Wormadam, Plusle, Minun, Rotom, Gyarados, Trapinch, Vibrava, Wooper, Quagsire, Kadabra, Torchic, Combusken, Cyndaquil, Quilava, Typhlosion, Beldum, Metang, Metagross, Seel, and Dewgong. Certain doors require these Pokémon be with you to open. Somewhere along the way, you'll find an Arcanine behind one of the doors. Aaron tells you that the Arcanine belongs to the girl you're looking for. Once you've opened all the doors, you'll run into Marley--who's being mobbed by 24 varied Pokémon! Once you've taken care of them all, you'll tell Marley what Aaron told you. Amidst her disappointment, Marley finds time to thank you for taking care of the Pokémon before she and her Arcanine leave the area.

Bertha's Mission: Revenge in the Oil Fields!
After stepping out of Almia Castle, Aaron will reveal that another of Sinooh's Elite Four has gotten into some trouble at the Oil Field Hideout. Once you get to the Oil Field Hideout, you'll find it being swarmed by Electric-types, many of them the same species found when you went to assist Maylene in Boyleland, and still being used by Team Dim Sun Grunts. You should know the tactics. Once you've beaten all of the grunts, you should eventually find Bertha being attacked by Heath of the Sinis Trio. Heath will curse you out for his failure back in Boyleland, before throwing out the team he used there minus Raikou; this time, he also throws out a Zapdos (Flying-type, Demist field move, Electric-type assist). Once you've defeated Heath again, he swears this isn't the end of Team Dim Sun's plans before he runs away. Once Heath's gone, Bertha thanks you for coming to her aid, but also reveals another of Sinooh's Elite Four is in trouble in Altru Park.

Flint's Mission: Altru Park Showdown
Once you get to Altru Park, you'll find it being swarmed by Fire-types, many of them the same species found when your character was held by Team Dim Sun in the Chroma Ruins, and still being used by Team Dim Sun Grunts. You should know the tactics. Once you've beaten all of the grunts, you should eventually find Flint being attacked by Lavana of the Sinis Trio. Lavana will curse you out for her failure back in the Chroma Ruins (despite the fact that it wasn't your character who did the job), before throwing out the team she used there minus Entei; this time, she also throws out a Moltres (Flying-type, Demist field move, Fire-type assist). Once you've defeated Lavana again, she swears this isn't the end of Team Dim Sun's plans before she runs away. Once Lavana's gone, Flint thanks you for coming to his aid, but also reveals another of Sinooh's Elite Four is in trouble inside the Altru Building.

Lucian's Mission: Altru Building Grudge Match
Once you get to the Altru Building, you'll find it being swarmed by Ice-types, many of them the same species found when your character went to Shiver Camp to assist Candice, and still being used by Team Dim Sun Grunts. You should know the tactics. Once you've beaten all of the grunts, you should eventually find Lucian being attacked by Ice of the Sinis Trio. Ice will curse you out for his failure back at the Shiver Camp, before throwing out the team he used there minus Suicune; this time, he also throws out an Articuno (Flying-type, Demist field move, Ice-type assist). Once you've defeated Ice again, he swears this isn't the end of Team Dim Sun's plans before he runs away. Once Lavana's gone, Lucian thanks you for coming to his aid, but also reveals that Sinooh's Champion is inside Altru Tower and dealing with some trouble in there.

Cynthia's Mission: Final Challenge in Altru Tower
Once you step into the Altru Tower, you'll meet up with Cynthia, who quickly reveals something disturbing: Team Dim Sun is trying to resume production of Gigaremo Units! She came to this area in hopes of stopping them, as well as rescue someone kidnapped by Team Dim Sun, but was stopped by a literal mob of hypnotized Pokémon. At this point, your character recognizes that the mob of hypnotized Pokémon are under the effects of Gigaremo Units. Cynthia will start following you, also using her Lucario at times to assist you.

As you make your way through the tower, try to find Pokémon that can assist in breaking Gigaremo Units. Once you've destroyed half of the Gigaremo Units, you'll run into Kincaid. He sends out his Drapion and Gliscor, as well as a Lugia (Psychic-type, Psy Power x3 field move, Flying-type assist). Once you manage to defeat him, he'll reveal that the boss is trying to revive the Altru Tower's main purpose, and that the Gigaremo Units here are expendable. Kincaid then leaves. Once Kincaid leaves, a cage holding someone inside drops onto the scene. Break open the cage and you'll find Buck inside. Buck explains that he was doing some research over at the Hippowdon Temple when Kincaid came by and subdued him. Next thing he knew, he was in a cage and didn't even know where he was! Buck will start following you, also using his Claydol at times to assist you.

Once you reach the top of the tower, you'll find Blake Hall, trying to restore the Incredible Machine, having called out new Pokémon to try to power it--Ho-Oh (Fire-type, Burn x5 field move, Flying-type assist) and Celebi. Your goal now is obvious--you're going to have to capture Ho-Oh and Celebi. You may have to utilize Cynthia's Lucario and Buck's Claydol more than once apiece. This is a very tricky battle, but once you've nabbed both Ho-Oh and Celebi, Blake Hall will admit defeat, shut down the Incredible Machine, and ponder whether to withdraw Team Dim Sun from Almia.

Once Blake Hall has been defeated, Cynthia thanks you for your help, and Buck thanks you for coming to his aid when he needed it. At this point, the game will automatically save and special credits will roll. Included in the backdrop in this roll of the credits are flashbacks of some of the events from this mission.

This piece of data deals with the B version uncommon and common Pokémon cards for this set; remember, only cards of Pokémon that naturally appear in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia have B versions, those that don't aren't split into A and B versions. To transmit this piece of data, you'll need to transmit the password on one of the B version uncommon or common Pokémon cards to the Tajiri server. Make sure Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia is in the DS slot on your DS.

Once you've transmitted the password one of the cards, talk to Barlow, who reveals that someone left a Pokémon toy somewhere and wants that toy found. The Pokémon toy depicts the Pokémon on the card transmitted; the location is random. Once you know what you're looking for and where you're going, head to that location. Somewhere inside is a Pokémon that doesn't appear to move. Simply walk up to it and you'll find yourself in a "battle" where you'll have to "capture" the "Pokémon". However, this is the toy you're seeking; simply loop the Capture Line around it once and you'll win. The toy won't join your team, however; instead, you'll be given a password usable in Pokémon Rumble.

Enter the password into Pokémon Rumble's password entry and you'll recieve the toy for usage. The toy will know one move upon recieving it. Here's the listing of recievable toys and their attacks:

This piece of data deals with the Trainer cards. To transmit this piece of data, you'll need to transmit the password on all of Trainer cards to the Tajiri server, followed by the universal confirmation password "C4F-4M0-Vxx", where xx denotes a two-letter version identifier; here, DI is for Diamond and PE is for Pearl. The Diamond/Pearl game pak in question must have Trainers' Resort enabled and have completed the trainer errand mission from the RetroTrainer block.

Simply transmitting this piece of data will add Golem, Nidoking, Hariyama, and Aggron to Paul's Battle Tower options, and Lumineon to Zoey's Battle Tower options.

Chapter 1: Immediate Ambush
In this very short chapter, you'll find yourself in battle upon starting the mission against:

Altru Inc. Wheeler(M): L24 Bidoof, L24 Bidoof, L24 Bidoof, L24 Bidoof, L24 Bidoof, L26 Bibarel

Once you've defeated Wheeler, he'll reveal that his mission's successful--he was merely the distraction. One arm of his boss's forces should have already descended on Snowpoint City by now. Wheeler is gone before you can find out much more.

Chapter 2: Dim Sun on Ice
As soon as Wheeler's gone, your first instinct would be to Fly to Snowpoint City. However, that option has been disabled, meaning you're going to have to go the long way through Mt. Coronet. Mt. Coronet is normal...but normal ends upon stepping onto Route 216 and right into this ambush (double battle):

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L27 Smoochum, L26 Mr. Mime
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L27 Sneasel, L26 Vibrava

As you make your way through Route 216 and Route 217, you'll run into more Team Dim Sun Grunts who have parked themselves along the way. Their teams are as follows (underlined pair denotes double battle):

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L29 Snover
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L27 Snover, L27 Wynaut, L27 Dragonair
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L29 Swinub
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L29 Snorunt

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L26 Delibird, L26 Natu, L26 Shelgon, L26 Seel
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L27 Spheal, L27 Beldum, L27 Altaria
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L28 Sneasel, L28 Exeggcute
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L29 Lapras
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L28 Smoochum, L28 Spoink
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L27 Snorunt, L27 Lunatone, L27 Dragonair
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L27 Sneasel, L27 Solrock, L27 Shelgon

Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L24 Snorunt, L24 Chingling, L24 Vibrava, L24 Snorunt, L24 Snorunt, L24 Snorunt
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L29 Glaceon
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L26 Spheal, L26 Ralts, L26 Gabite, L26 Shellder
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L28 Lapras, L28 Slowpoke

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L29 Swinub
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L25 Smoochum, L25 Abra, L25 Seadra, L25 Shellder, L25 Seel

As you make your way into Snowpoint City itself, you'll be ambushed by:

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L30 Glaceon, L30 Espeon

Five elite Grunts have set up in various points of Snowpoint City. However, you have to face them in the order listed; otherwise, they'll just give you their number and ask you to try again later. In the order listed:

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L30 Jynx, L30 Hypno
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L29 Piloswine, L29 Kirlia, L29 Flygon
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L30 Glalie, L30 Slowking

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L26 Dewgong, L26 Bronzong, L26 Dragonite, L26 Cloyster, L26 Metang, L26 Salamence

Once you've beaten the elite Grunts, you'll find one of the Sinis Trio, Ice, trying to gain entry into the Snowpoint Temple, but the guard won't let him through. "I don't care what you say, lady, but I'm getting into that temple if it's the last thing I do!" is what Ice says before noticing you. At this point, you'll have to fight Ice. Here's his team:

Sinis Trio Ice(M): L35 Froslass, L35 Gallade, L35 Garchomp

Once Ice is defeated, he'll admit defeat and withdraw, although he claims that this isn't the end! The Snowpoint Temple guard will thank you for getting that "nasty guy" away from her, but points out that Stark Mountain might be in trouble. Since you can't fly directly to Stark Mountain, there's no Fly point that can be disabled, meaning you can start from either Route 226 or Route 228 like normal. You'll also now be able to fly directly to Snowpoint City once more.

Chapter 3: Starky Mountains and Dimmed Suns
Everything seems to go fine en route to Stark Mountain regardless of where you start from. However, upon stepping onto Route 227, you step right into this ambush (double battle):

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L27 Slugma, L26 Magmar
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L27 Houndour, L26 Combusken

As you make your way along Route 227, you'll run into more Team Dim Sun Grunts who have parked themselves along the way. Their teams are as follows (underlined pair denotes double battle):

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L29 Growlithe
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L27 Growlithe, L27 Vulpix, L27 Charmeleon
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L29 Cyndaquil

Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L27 Ponyta, L27 Torkoal, L27 Charmeleon
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L27 Houndour, L27 Torkoal, L27 Combusken

Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L24 Ponyta, L24 Houndour, L24 Combusken, L24 Ponyta, L24 Ponyta, L24 Ponyta
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L29 Flareon

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L29 Magcargo
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L26 Vulpix, L26 Growlithe, L26 Houndour, L26 Numel

As you make your way into Stark Mountain itself, you'll be ambushed by:

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L30 Flareon, L30 Flareon

Six elite Grunts have set up in various areas of Stark Mountain. Here are their teams:

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L30 Magcargo, L30 Ninetales
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L29 Quilava, L29 Magcargo, L29 Blaziken
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L30 Rapidash, L30 Rapidash

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L26 Ninetales, L26 Camerupt, L26 Charizard, L26 Arcanine, L26 Monferno, L26 Blaziken
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L31 Magmortar

Once you've beaten the elite Grunts, you'll find one of the Sinis Trio, Lavana, emerging from Heatran's chamber, having found nothing of interest. As soon as Lavana emerges, you'll have to fight her. Here's her team:

Sinis Trio Lavana(F): L36 Infernape, L36 Magmortar

Once Lavana is defeated, she'll admit defeat and withdraw, although she claims that this isn't the end! You're given no clues as to where Team Dim Sun might be next, but once you're back on Route 227 and can Fly again, you'll notice that Sunyshore City's unable to be flown to...

Chapter 4: Dimshore City?!
In this chapter of the data, all trainers are fought in double batles regardless of how many people challenge you.

As soon as you find yourself unable to Fly to Sunyshore City, head for Lake Valour and get onto Route 222 from there. As soon as you do so, you step right into this ambush (both trainers fought together):

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L27 Plusle, L26 Minun
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L27 Rhyhorn, L26 Cubone

As you make your way along Route 222, you'll run into more Team Dim Sun Grunts who have parked themselves along the way. Their teams are as follows (underlined pair denotes trainers fought together):

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L28 Pikachu, L28 Electrike
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L27 Elekid, L27 Rhyhorn, L27 Pachirisu
Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L29 Flaaffy
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L29 Marowak

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L29 Rhyperior
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L29 Raichu

As you make your way into Sunyshore City itself, you'll be ambushed by:

Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L30 Jolteon, L30 Marowak

Seven elite Grunts have set up in various areas of Sunyshore City. Here are their teams:

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L30 Magneton, L30 Manectric
Team Dim Sun Grunt(F): L29 Pikachu, L29 Rhydon, L29 Flaaffy

Team Dim Sun Grunt(M): L25 Rotom, L25 Manectric, L25 Rotom, L25 Manectric, L25 Rotom, L25 Manectric

Once you've beaten the elite Grunts, you'll find one of the Sinis Trio, Heath, trying to get into the Sunyshore Gym but the caretaker refusing to let him in. "I don't care what you say, mister, but I'm getting into this gym if it's the last thing I do!" As soon as Heath emerges, you'll have to fight him. Here's his team:

Sinis Trio Heath(M): L35 Magnezone, L35 Rhyperior, L35 Electivire

Once Heath is defeated, he'll admit defeat and withdraw, although he claims that this isn't the end! At this point, Volkner will emerge and reveal that he heard that the Trainers' Resort is under attack by Team Dim Sun--with no Grunts! This sounds like the setup for a final showdown. You'll be able to fly directly to the Trainers' Resort, so head there now. You'll also now be able to fly directly to Sunyshore City once more.

Chapter 5: Dim Sun Showdown
Once you're in the Trainers' Resort, you'll find it surprisingly working mostly normally. However, a few people in the vicinity of the Poké Dome have complained about the people running the current Event Challenges. Sure enough, if you go to the Event Challenge counter, you'll find out that Team Dim Sun is running tournaments here! They've come here trying to raise money, and that if you want to get in, you'll have to pay a fee of 10,000 to start your challenge. If you pay, you can begin the first challenge.

In this series of Event Challenges, you'll be facing four trainers straight, with healing in between each of them. Once you've cleared one group of four, you'll be able to move on to the next one; only at this point can you take a break, move around a little, and save your progress. However, if you lose anywhere along the way, the game will save automatically and you'll have to start over from the beginning of the first group. The fourth and final group has five trainers instead of the usual four. The groups are as follows:

Group 1:
Show Trainer Tea(F): L60 Mamoswine, L60 Abomasnow, L60 Walren
Show Trainer Yugi(M): L61 Alakazam, L61 Gardevoir, L61 Grumpig, L61 Xatu, L61 Metagross, L61 Bronzong
Show Trainer Mai(F): L62 Dragonite, L62 Kingdra, L62 Salamence, L62 Altaria
Sinis Trio Ice(M): L63 Froslass, L63 Gallade, L63 Garchomp, L63 Jynx

Group 2:
Show Trainer Chris(M): L61 Charizard, L61 Ninetales, L61 Rapidash
Show Trainer Frances(F): L62 Typhlosion, L62 Magcargo, L62 Houndoom
Show Trainer Daniel(M): L63 Blaziken, L63 Camerupt, L63 Torkoal
Sinis Trio Lavana(F): L64 Infernape, L64 Magmortar, L64 Arcanine

Group 3: (all battles in this group are double battles)
Show Trainer Rika(F): L62 Luxray, L62 Rhydon, L62 Plusle, L62 Lanturn, L62 Electrode
Show Trainer Takato(M): L63 Pachirisu, L63 Marowak, L63 Minun, L62 Jolteon
Show Trainer Jeri(F): L64 Rotom, L64 Manectric, L64 Raichu
Sinis Trio Heath(M): L65 Magnezone, L65 Rhyperior, L65 Electivire, L65 Ampharos

Show Trainer Dan(M): L65 Crobat, L65 Volbeat, L65 Kingdra, L65 Raticate
Show Trainer Julie(F): L66 Bastiodon, L66 Skarmory, L66 Alakazam
Dim Sun Head? Kincaid(M): L67 Drapion, L67 Gliscor
Dim Sun Head Blake Hall(M): L70 Dusknoir, L70 Darkrai

Once you've defeated Blake Hall at the end of Group 4, he'll recognize your character as the one that's been interfering with Team Dim Sun's operations in Sinooh. Before Blake can charge at you, Kincaid convinces him to withdraw from Sinooh instead of going through with a pointless fistfight, saying that they may yet get another chance at Sinooh. Blake decides to withdraw Team Dim Sun from Sinooh, but doesn't say anything about leaving anything in the country alone for good...

As soon as Blake Hall has withdrawn Team Dim Sun from Sinooh, you'll get your buy-in back, the game will automatically save, and the credits will roll. Once the credits finish rolling, you'll regain control immediately (cutting right back to the Trainers' Resort from the credits, without having to go through the title screen or meny again) in front of the Poké Dome.

Aftermath
Once you regain control again, a Pokémon Ranger named Kellyn will arrive on the scene, after having heard about Team Dim Sun terrorizing Sinooh. After Kellyn asks where Team Dim Sun currently is, your character reveals that Kellyn came too late. Once Kellyn realizes Team Dim Sun is already gone, he'll head off to the Ranger Station at the Trainers' Resort. Once Kellyn's gone, the same scene plays out a second time, but this time it's Kate the scene plays out with.

From here on out, you can now find Kellyn and Kate out in the fields. Kellyn's schedule is as follows (Kellyn talks about in-battle effects):

Sunday: Floaroma Meadow
Monday: Lake Verity
Tuesday: The current Enigma Island
Wednesday: Ranger Station
Thursday: Suicune Lake
Friday: Turnback Cave
Saturday: Snowpoint Temple

And Kate's schedule is as follows (Kate talks about the effects of key items):

Sunday: Ranger Station
Monday: Spear Pillar
Tuesday: Lake Acuity
Wednesday: Ranger Station
Thursday: Scizor Mountains
Friday: Ludicolo Lane
Saturday: Ranger Station

Additionally, a book describing Almia in depth has now appeared in Megathug's library.

Finally, there are two new terminals at the Airport, and three existing terminals have been tweaked. Do note that you can't board an airplane without a "Passport", an item that you can never obtain, not even through other transmittable data. As follows:

-What had been International Terminal HOeF for Air Sinooh is now simply International Terminal HOe. The terminal is now used only for Hoenn and Orre; it no longer is used for flights to Fiore.
-Sonic Air and the International Terminal BlueFantasy for Air Sinooh both now offers flights to Soleanna.
-The first new terminal is International Terminal FA for Air Sinooh. Flights to Fiore have moved to this terminal, which also serves flights to Almia as well.
-The second new terminal is a terminal for Almia Skylines, the national airline of Almia. All flights on this airline from Sinooh go to Almia.

This piece of data deals with the Energy cards, Pokémon-ex, and Pokémon-* cards.

For this post, each of the triples can be used two ways.

The first way is to transmit the passwords on all transmitting the passwords on all of the cards used for this piece of data to the Tajiri server, along with the universal confirmation password "C4F-4M0-Vxx", where xx denotes a two-letter version identifier; DI for Diamond or PE for Pearl. This will allow you to challenge just the trainers in this data at the Battle Tower. You'll battle all 5 trainers without a break, and you'll get a special reward if you win all 5 battles. Each trainer will use all 6 of their Pokémon, and you'll be allowed to take 6 Pokémon in yourself. You can't take in an egg or any Pokémon you can't enter in a normal Battle Tower challenge in this special challenge. If you lose anytime during the challenge, you'll have to start over from the beginning. You can take the special challenge as long as the power remains on or until you clear the challenge. The teams are at the bottom of the post. You'll have to use all of the passwords again if you want to retransmit the data!

The other way is to transmit the cards as part of a "marathon challenge" that won't come until the transmittable data of the final set in this series of sets. Details on that challenge will come in that final set.

Here are the setups of each trainer. Each trainer has an opening quote (said when the trainer first appears), a battle setup, the team they use, a victory quote, and a defeat quote. This setup applies only to the regulation Battle Tower special challenge, and may differ for the "marathon challenge".

Altru Inc. Wheeler(M):
Opening Quote: "I work for Altru, Inc., the sponsors of this challenge."
Battle Setup: Single
Pokémon: Bidoof, Bibarel, Rattata, Raticate, Furret, Linoone
Victory Quote: "In the name of Altru, Inc., please leave."
Wheeler pretty much tries to let you win. His victory quote won't be seen too often.
Defeat Quote: "In the name of Altru, Inc., you may continue."

Sinis Trio Ice(M):
Opening Quote: "I'm one of Team Dim Sun's Sinis Trio. However, all you're going to fight is an icy uno!"
Battle Setup: Late Shift
Pokémon: Froslass, Gallade, Garchomp, Jynx, Walrein, Weavile
Victory Quote: "Yeah! Ice, ice, baby!"
Defeat Quote: "<D4>! Melted!"

Sinis Trio Lavana(F):
Opening Quote: "I'm one of Team Dim Sun's Sinis Trio. Beware of my fiery battle style!"
Battle Setup: Early Shift
Pokémon: Infernape, Magmortar, Arcanine, Flareon, Magcargo, Blaziken
Victory Quote: "Whoo-hoo! Burn, baby, burn!"
Defeat Quote: "<D4>! Doused!"

Sinis Trio Heath(M):
Opening Quote: "I'm one of Team Dim Sun's Sinis Trio. Prepare for a shock to your system!"
Battle Setup: Double
Pokémon: Magnezone, Rhyperior, Electivire, Ampharos, Manectric, Marowak
Victory Quote: "Rock on! Nobody shocks better than me!"
Defeat Quote: "<D4>! Grounded!"

Dim Sun Head? Kincaid(M):
Opening Quote: "How dare you get past the Sinis Trio! In the name of Team Dim Sun, I, its head, accept your challenge!"
Battle Setup: Single
Pokémon: Drapion, Gliscor, Flygon, Beedrill, Beautifly, Heracross
Victory Quote: "As expected, you're no more powerful than the Sinis Trio."
Defeat Quote: "What? The tops of Team Dim Sun goes down?<text clears>Offscreen voice: You? The head of Team Dim Sun? Hah!<text clears>Kincaid: Boss?!"

Dim Sun Head Blake Hall(M):
Opening Quote: "I can't believe Kincaid did what he did! If you didn't figure it out already, I'm the true head of Team Dim Sun! Prepare to go down!"
Battle Setup: Single
Pokémon: Gengar, Umbreon, Drifblim, Crawdaunt, Dusknoir, Darkrai
NOTE: Blake Hall will always use Darkrai (although not necessarily first). Simply bringing in a Darkrai is against Battle Tower rules, much less actually using one.
Victory Quote: "Just as expected. You can't best Team Dim Sun."
Defeat Quote: "What?! How could Team Dim Sun be put out?!"
Special Reward: You recieve 5 BP upon clearing the challenge, plus an additional 5 BP for clearing a rulebreaker from the challenge

This piece of data deals with the secret cards and boxtopper. To transmit a piece of data, you'll need to transmit the password on two certain secret cards, or just the boxtopper, to the Tajiri server. Make sure Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia is in the DS slot on your DS.

Here, you'll be able to download the Special Missions and Extra Missions. Each mission works the same as when downloaded from the actual event. Here's how the missions break down by which cards to use:

Recover the Manaphy Egg: Castform, Night Castform
Rescue Kidnapped Riolu!: Rainy Castform, Sandstorm Castform
Liberate the Tower: Snow-cloud Castform, Smog Castform
Dialga in Hia Valley?: Spring Castform, Sunny Castform
Palkia in Haruba Desert?: Thunderstorm Castform, Wind Castform
For the Bride & Shaymin: Shaymin ex (Sky Form)

[del]Unless Sunflorazumarill has other data to add,[/del] that does it for EX: Ranger: Shadows of Almia.
