Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

How to beat the Deck above you...

I apologize for all of this, Rogue Archetype, but it's hard to remain silent any longer. I hate that this keeps happening in your threads in particular, especially since they are such good, helpful ideas. But it did. There's no changing that unless the mods get involved (which all they can really do about it is delete the posts and punish the parties involved, not remove the incident from the minds of others), and even then, the result of our argument will still hold a negative influence upon the remainder of the thread. I will request one final time for these people to simply ignore my posts from now on so we don't have to litter the forums with this redundant babble. That is all.

I completely agree with Armored Mewtwo. I love these threads, and I hate them ending like this. They can ignore me for all I care.

Salamence Typhlosion above

Kingdra for counter. T2 is nice and it easily outspeeds Sally-Ty.

LOL @ posts above

^^^ above deck is KINGRA ^^^

I counter with 2 Mr. Mime w/ unown Q / SF Electrode #36 / SW Electrode / Manetric PT / Uxie Draw / Omastar

Strategy: 2 Mimes dancing around warp points gives me three turns to set up and forces extra attachements for Kingdra's offensive (or they burn warp points). Manetric stops Kindras bench spread and FEEDS benched Trodes. Trode SF spreads and Paralyzes for free attacks w/ weakness. SW Electrode for the desperation KO if something goes wrong w/ setup (also loads next attacker). Uxie's strike and fade (bringing up Mime) to avoid self-KOing from Manetric's spreads. Omastar FTW when it's all said and done.

Deck above is 2 Mr. Mime w/ unown Q / SF Electrode #36 / SW Electrode / Manetric PT / Uxie Draw / Omastar

Counter is Salamence w/ Rotom MD and Energy Pickup.

With all those pokemon, the deck will be quite slow and easy for Salamence to take apart.

Deck above is Salamence/Rotom/Energy Pickup

Counter: Psychic Kitties (Gardevoir PT/Delcatty PT)

Only requiring 6 energy in total for a OHKO (Salamence requires at least 2). Delcatty for energy accel

^^^above deck is 2 Mr. Mime w/ unown Q / SF Electrode #36 / SW Electrode / Manetric PT / Uxie Draw / Omastar ^^^

Counter: Breloom SW/ Lopunny LA/ Unown Q/ Sableye SF/ Moonlight Stadium

Strategy: Basically, the above deck is entirely composed of free-retreaters, even Uxie with Moonlight. Set up quick with Sableye/ Claydol/ Uxie engine and free retreat Sableye to bench, not wasting energy attachments this way to power up Breloom quick and swing for 120. If a SW Electrode goes kamikaze on you, bring in Lopunny LA/Q to heal the spread and make Primal Swirl pointless. Sunflora SW is a tech possibility over Lopunny, but Lopunny can draw 3 for free if the next Breloom isn't quite ready!

^Iz I doin' it rite? =]
(Edit: Well, its a bit late, but I tried. ^^)

Above Deck: Breloom SW/ Lopunny LA/ Unown Q/ Sableye SF/ Moonlight Stadium
Counter: Moltres/Typhlosion/Heatran(OP8/LvX)/

Strategy: Moltres doesn't take much all that much damage from Breloom, and being a basic, it will only take 30 from Lopunny's Cross Cut. Typhlosion acts a energy acceleration if you don't hit Flame Charge. Heatran is to keep the energy on Moltres.

Deck above is Moltres+techs

Counter: Kingdra

Strat: nothing special, I played Moltres+Techs (Heatran/Rapidash) and all kingdra has to do is what it does best - hit hard and fast.

^^^ Deck above is classic KINGDRA ^^^

Counter = SF Dusknoir X with PT Manetric Tech

Strategy = Open w/ Manetric hit the T2 Claydols with Manetric spread and do 70 to Kingdra whenever it comes up. Manetric loads Dusknoir. Run up w/ Dusk and Night Spin FTW. Kingdra's spread is dead due to Manetric's body.

Deck above is Dusknoir+Manectric

Counter: Scizor/Cherim

Strat: The powerless deck leaves your Manectric tech near useless, and S/C outspeeds even pure Noir, let alone one with a useless tech ^_-

The deck above me is Scizor/Cherrim.

Counter Deck: Skittles! (Ho-oh/Togekiss w/ Mismagius tech)

Set Ho-oh up on the bench, using Misdreavus(LA) and Roseanne's Research to hunt for varieties of energy cards and then use Mismagius(SF) to stall the Scizor's relevant attacks, giving time for Ho-oh and/or Togekiss to set up. When one Ho-oh is ready (or nearly there) drop Togekiss to spread as many energy types to as many Ho-oh as possible. Abusing Weakness means only 4 different energy are needed to 1-hit a Scizor without hp enhancement. Ho-oh's Phoenix Body can help the same Ho-oh remain devastating even after it was Ko'd

The above deck is Skittles (Ho-Oh/Togekiss and Mismagius)

Counter: Café Noir (Dusknoir Promo with Cresselia LV.X and techs)

Strat: get out Dusknoir Promo ASAP and let it act like a sponge while setting up. Then, everything goes down in no time with help of Cresselia LV.X's Poke-Power. HEALING FTW! And without nothing to stop Dusknoir LV.X, the spread is on!

Deck above is Cafe Noir

Counter: Glaceon/Cresselia

With no Ectoplasm or Full Moon Dance, you are 2HKOed by avalanche and can't stop me. Not to mention I can heal off the 70 damage you do

^^^ deck above is Glaceon / Cressalia ^^^

Counter = Rapidash / Heatran X / Palkia X

Stratetgy = Fight T1 speed w/ faster T1 speed. Warp point & LevelMax makes this a very fast threat for Glaceon that needs heads on snow cloak + 3 energy attachements w/o accel attachments! Weakness is not an issue when I have snipe power and faster setups between pokes. GlaceonX w/ be a bench snipe over your restructured Claydol or underdeveloped Glaceon

Um how do you plan on Restructuring if he has glaceon active? Also, Glaceon is in no way shape or form a T1 deck. while it could potentially have a power lock T1 it really isn't a T1 deck as it isn't set up ready to go or anything. The power lock it can provide is going to make things difficult for you in the long run though
