Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Kingdra

Dude, just chill. What's your problem anyways? Does the fact that my article is not 100% perfect for the FP mean that you have something against me? And who are you trying to put words in my mouth! Please, unless you have something with actual merit to it, don't post again.

I know it isn't perfect. I'm not expecting it to be. All I want is a nice article a decent list, fair match ups and good spelling. Is that so horrible of me to want? And Like I said, The article is done pretty well, all I'm saying is the list isn't. Well what else does, Not responding, mean? And I do have merit in my words. Everyone does ( or at least is trying to help ) so just listen.

Okay, overall it's a very nice article. Good, solid introduction, cards are explained well, matchups (although there aren't that many) are fairly accurate. The decklist isn't the best in the world, it may be slightly unorthodox, but I tested it and overall it was fairly consistent and fun to play with - which is all that matters.

One thing I would point out is under the section where you go over Expert Belt, you say it can do an extra 20 damage to the benched pokemon as well. Probably just a typo, but it could be misleading for newer players.

Thanks, and GJ for writing a solid article,

LL

Thanks for the compliments!

To Glisctomb the answer is Dawn Stadium. Use it to win. HELLO!

 While Dawn Stadium is an, understandable, counter, I'd rather be able to maintain my Kingdras through BTS.

i meant that in the glisctomb matchup since you cant use rare candy, you need 3 seadra to make up for it. then you can play dawn stadium to keep attacking glisctomb.

Regarding the gengar matup. 50% of the time you won't be able to outspeed them because they'll just pitch dark and then you can't play your trainers to get set up.

Good article.

a good tech that you may want to keep in mind is the Regice from legends awakened and as mentioned before Palkia [G] LvX from Platinum also i feel that essential room in this deck is wasted on trying to make crobat [G] a sensible tech. With only 2 poketurns and 1 crobat you could use the room on more water energy for the random Aqua stream or one of the techs listed before.

Nice job on the article. How has your record been so far?

I have top cut (3rd and 2nd) in two CC so far with a very similar list, my techs are different. The win eludes me so far, but the latest round of changes may swing that back to a possibility.

Dusknoir is SO good in this deck. I run 1-1-1...it works for me.

In my opinion, Unown G is needed, 1 at least, but I get where you are coming from and if it works for you then STICK WITH IT.

I am even going to try it and test and see what happens...however, it will definately affect my discards in the Gengar Match. I usually g one Claydol and only drop 'Noir if I need to palm away something critical like Nidoqueen or Metagross - that usually leaves me free to discard the other 'Dols and 'Toys...without G though I would have to re-think the discards.

Hmm...now what to put in that free G slot...

Good luck and good Games

If you use 3 seadra, you will not need to use as many bts.

This was already covered before, but that would just make it more sensible to use BTS instead.

That's smart and instead of BTS you could play Phione since it's water type.

/sarcasm

Good article.

Yeah, yet the build is geared toward setting up quickly. Though I wouldn't necessarily be set up first, I'll be hitting harder through Dragon Pump in general. Granted, there are some great Gengar builds though.

Ah, but what didn't occur to me was switching out the PlusPowers with PokeTurns, as mentioned previously. Regice and Palkia G Lv. X make fine techs, but, I didn't see the need for them with my meta.

As for my record, I have top cut a few tournaments, yet, I just can't get the win as well. The last tournament I ran this I ran into a solid Palkia Lock build that had me immediately.

Yeah, I know about Unown G. I've been yelled at quite a lot already! But yeah, it works for me, so I don't see why I need to waste the spot really.

Yes, I try never to discard any of the Claydol parts, and instead focus on discarding my excess Supporters and Energy, occaisonally I end up discarding parts of my Kingdra lines. :frown:

Thanks for the commenting!

The PokeTurns are not needed if your just running the one sp line its just nice to keep there bench down just like the dusk line after the surprise is spent.

My deck has become much better now that I have removed Crobat G and Poke Turn. This allowed me to add new and good cards (1-1-1 Dusknoir). I'd strongly recommend it.

i like the kingdra deck but nothing aginst anyone that runs it i just cant wait for him to go illegal cause he was one of those cards that just couldnt be beat but i did have a good match up last year at states against a Kingdra deck it was built almost like this and i was using Scizor and it came down to us with a prize each and my vespiquen finished it off.

Its a nice deck but i just dont see a real strategy with kingdra and i whould get rid of one BTS and a Marleys and add one night maintenance and a Bebes search

3 NM?

1 Palmer is the play in Kingdra.

This deck really loses to 'tomb now.
