You shouldof said that before we started getting off topic.

I didn't go because I didn't have a ride. If I went it was for fun.

Now can you please save the conversation for a PM? I don't want Mom to come and close my thread.

Niqu3..i dunno if you have actually PLAYED this deck or not...but heres what happens. You want to spread around the damage and KILL the pokemon, not just atm the top evo back to their hand. sure, it works late game, and against noobs...but not good players. think about it...most players know not to candy everything against decks like that in fear of being atm rock'd. the only case where you really should candy early is to get an early pidgeot. think about how many times you need to place the 4 damage counters before you can atm rock and kill the stage 1....say it has 80 HP=3 turns total, including the atm rock. now say its a stage 2 that has 120 HP...same number of turns, but you're killing the thing. i am playing one rock in my list for those times when they have something like steelix ex, which would take forever to kill. AND don't forget you have gengar's power and cursed powder. but the point of having 4 dre is this...you're doing damage COUNTERs, not damage...so why not play 4, and be able to use gengar's second attack that much quicker? honestly, you play 2, you're gonna need an extra turn to be able to do 60, when you could do 50, potentially, right away, with a DRE+react attached.

And whoever said this:
There no need for Protective Orb

I guess you haven't been to a Pokemon tournament in the last year. Theres only 3 to 4 major darkness-type decks out there. REALLY nothing to be afraid of seeing as you only have 100 HP and you're WEAK TO DARK. Protective Orb=A MUST

The only way Gengar wins over any of the BETTER stage 2's out there is because you are able to spread around the damage and use the power/cursed powder to get the KO's. i think i've used gengar's second attack ONCE in the 10 or so games i've played with this deck.

As for retreating the jirachi...i have a new list that runs 1 mr. briney's compassion and 1 heal energy...should be enough to pull him back if he doesnt get KO'd by your third turn.

This deck still loses because of it's inability to take down some of the larger archtypes...but it's still not bad. maybe comboing it with another attacker would give it a better edge against the tier 1 stuff

I have played this deck many times and tested differents ways and 50 turn early game is nice but i dont liek runnin 4 DRE is really needed at all because u cant attach that first turn nrg but i do play with 3 for the early 50 but 4 is not really needed at all . i would replace the 4th with 2nd heal because its is good because u can save gengar for extra turn liek home boy said a few post up. But that fact that u can spread dmg counter around and hurt the bench early game i is always a plus because they come out weak and easy to kill off and plus they have to worry about Gengar and Curse powder. so that 2nd ATM help when trie to rare candy again or When u already use the first one.

I played with two of those darks deck and i just think protection orb should all depends on there metagame as a tech. just liek Crystal shard and etc.

I also play 1 Mr. Briney's Compassion and i still manage to fix 2 Swoops in the deck because i am able to get my gastly out faster and ready to attack and etc

and i was testin dusclop ex with the deck so its has no weakness and plus it can ova 50 dmgs ask another attacker buts for right now gengar is fine on its own

and most liekly its goin to be some bad gammer because i dont feel liek rereadin it sry =/
