If we're talking emotion here, what makes someone jump for joy the most? Pulling a darkrai ex or an entei ex? How much jumping for joy will people be doing after they come out in tins?

I'll be doing lots of jumping for joy. Mainly cause I just bought a playset of Mewtwo for the cost of one a few months earlier.

That makes me REALLY happy.

Personally I'd rather they didn't exist but I guess it is good that someone not willing to 300 dollars will be able to build a dark deck.

Yanmega and Luxray dropped in price so dramatically because the only demand for the cards came from competitive players. When that market dried up, the cards returned to their "normal" market price.

With Mewtwo, Darkrai and Rayquaza, there's more demand from non-players. Kids like Mewtwo a lot more than they like Yanmega.

I am stoked. I might purchase cards for the first time in years now.

Great job! Thumbs Up!

Yeah, kids got a grip on those legendaries now and never let go. I miss the good old days when they were bad and kid fodder.

As a hoarder and competitive player I don't have a problem with this at all. The one redeeming factor being PTCi decided to debut these tins after Nationals and Worlds making sure the people that bought them early still get their value out of them.

Also, the new art will be welcomed into my binder.

I dunno, I'd still say this is a rumor.

There's no pics, from a weird source (the source that leaked the english name and pack art however) and it'd be the first time pokemon printed tins with pokemon from older sets (2 sets older) (correct me if I'm wrong)

Anyone else think that's weird? Not to be a tin foil hat kind a guy but sure would be convenient if 2 highly sought after money cards were announced in tins and the price dropped some before nationals and worlds...

FWIW

There may not be pics of the tins (as the pictures of the cards are apparently not finished), but they also revealed the pack artwork for the next set so I'm pretty sure that it's true.

Also Pokemon has reprinted a lot of older cards recently. the level Xs that came out in the Legend Boxes last year, as well as the primes several months back. (Yanmega and whatnot)

Not the first time a Tin was released with BCIF type cards. Garchomp anyone?

While I wouldn't argue that the source is weird (in a good way, Asad!), PokeCollection is partners with Nintendo, TPCi, Siren Visual, Banter Toys, Magna Home Entertainment, Madman Entertainment, Iconix, Vagabond Takapuna, and The Hoyts Group. This information came from TPCi.

It's not a rumor. He didn't "leak" the name and art, either; he was given it by TPCi about a month ago with an embargo expiration of May 26. Of course, he posted it once the embargo was up. In case you think this is some gigantic fake, Intrafin, the retailer that revealed Platinum: Arceus and HeartGold & SoulSilver sets, has posted listings for Dragons Exalted boosters and decks.

If you don't believe me still, the theme deck images will be revealed there in the next few days. They are now considered an official medium by TPCi, so you won't find any blatantly false things there at all.

(plus, when was the last time that we had a TCG news info leak that /wasn't/ true? aside from the Call of Legends translation mishap)

Do you know what would be hilarious? If the packs were 1 Platinum series, 2 HGSS series and 1 Emerging Powers.

This sounds awesome to me! I've already bought Mew2s, but I won't have to waste money on Darkrai EX or RQ!

- Everybody does have a chance, it's called buying a booster pack.

- People who want Mewtwo and Darkrai can't afford booster packs?

Seriously, this is all stupid. People are praising this because "now they can afford them" but did everybody stop buying booster packs and stick to buying single cards? I've pulled 3 Mewtwo EX's from booster packs so it's not impossible guys.

It's not impossible, no, but not everyone has the luck some others seem to have: like buying 3-5 booster packs and pulling exactly what they wanted. Also not everyone can afford to buy stacks and stacks of packs in order to get an EX. Certainly not everyone can afford to slap down $100+ dollars for boxes or to get playsets of all the stuff they need.

Myself, i brought 23+ NEX booster packs and didn't pull a single EX of worth, let alone a Mewtwo EX. I was finally able to trade a Golden Catcher for one, but not everyone can do that either. For the many who can't it'll be far easier, and far cheaper, to buy the tins in the fall in order to get the EX cards they've been looking for.

Nope.avi

While we don't really comment on rumors, this site is claiming all these official connections and partnerships. I'd hope most of you would realize that:

  1. We likely wouldn't give a new set announcement to a random Youtube site before we announce it on our own site.
  2. Mewtwo is not a Dragon.
  3. There is exactly 1 "fan" site with any kind of official affiliation w/ us. You're looking at it.

So, again, I won't comment on any of the rumors (next post: "Hey Exo, so what cards are in the tins?"), but it is important to note that this fansite/Youtube channel has no official partnership, etc. with us for announcing news.

I got stopped at probably 3 tournaments recently asking me why Enhanced Hammer's text got changed. Again, a fansite mistranslated the card and everyone took it as truth.

I know this is futile, but I'll put it out there once more: if you don't see something announced on an official site (not one claiming to be an official site, not one claiming to be friends with the official site, not one who's uncle totally knows a guy that knows a guy) you're dealing with a healthy dose of speculation, unofficial wording, guesses, and sensationalism.
