Don't count on it; it's after business hours here on the West Coast, besides being a Friday.

Why should they have to justify the rotation to anyone? Their game, their rules, right?

An explanation doesn't have to come today, just sometime in the near future. Why they chose to go with HL instead of Fr/Lg probably has a lot more to do with making money on older cards than it does which cards remain in the format. They could have reprinted ATM Rock and Lanturn in POP2 if they still wanted them in the format, but they chose to go a different path. Personally I would have gone with Fr/Lg because it establishes a better playing environment for the newer cards. O well...

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE HL ON!!!!!!!!!!

*Runs off and destroys every HL card factory in the world*

I'm done venting. Oh well, we now have a new challenge ahead of us non Rock-Lock players.

*Wishes this was a big July 22nd April's Fool Day scam*

No one dare say I told you so!

EDIT: Anybody got M Liesk's email?

Lovely. Just when you think we would lose ATM [Rock] and Desert Ruins. I have doubts about EITHER of the next two sets being usable. There goes my Lugia ex deck and Feraligatr ex deck. Why couldn't Rock-Lock just roll into its grave?! And Unseen forces seems absolutely useless now, Gatr ex will be unplayable, Desert Ruins gets the rest, and now, even the tools:

atm ice may be rotated out before all the sweet tools
that still needs confirmation, if hidden legends stays then im pretty sure 1-2 ice will be good since most players will use the tools which are quite nice. if it gets rotated out then im pretty sure tools will be rampant.
Well, not any more.

What about Warp Point...I liked that card. Hopefully it gets reprinted like it did once before. :)
Warp Point Will Most Likely Be in UFO cause it was in the Japanese theme decks and therefor will be reprinted... (Most Likely)

It's all a huge conspiracy! This is just an attempt to disguise the mistake reprinting Rare Candy was. Of course, it's a succesful attempt, and it also allows me to run my Camp Eels of DEUM, so I don't think I'll bother getting worked up about it too much.

lol

Lets talk about the effects of the rotation on current metagame and archetypes. With the rotation of Muk EX, we'll no longer see those around. Also with the missing Rainbow Energy, Dragtrode decks are in serious trouble. What will happen to more decks?

Discuss.

Sorry Ben if I repeated you but I added an extra I can neither confirm nor deny cause as you know I have the Liesik disease and for now until the Mod's help me, I'm stuck like this!

Can we quit with the 'I know something you don't know'-type spam, before this thread needs to be locked, too? =/

So, Rock-Lock is back, and still competition. But I haven't seen many Rock-Lock or Zappy decks around. They are tough to beat, but why aren't more played?

*Hopes Poli deck will survive Rock-Lock and Zappy*

Hmm, does anyone else get the feeling that EX: Hololdrum (props to anyone who gets this) is going to tie in well with this news?

Zappy's not as rampant as it would seem, at least not here on the east coast. Rock Lock and LudiCargo/Lanturn seem to be the decks of choice here, along with a lot of rogue.

Rock Lock will still be in play, in fact, with PETM back in rotation it will be just as powerful, if not more. Zappy still has its potential, but the true decks effected by the HL-on modification is Dragtrode losing its Rainbow. That'll kill the deck entirely because no other card has Rainbow's flexibilty. Muk EX is gone and Rocklock will destroy the new Fera/Typho/Meg decks coming soon.

How about we wait till after Worlds before we make assumptions. For all we know, the answer to Rock-Lock could come at Worlds or after Worlds

Glad to hear it'll be HL-on. Gonna miss Rainbow. It's my favorite energy. I remember its release in the original Team Rocket set...

On an aside, I actually use Amphy ex in Rock-Lock, but I sometimes forget it is in play. Then, like 3 or 4 turns later, one of us (me or my opponent) will remember it, then we'll try to remember what Pokémon, if any, need damage counters on it... yeah.
