Has there been any information that D/P will get released in the US, like a press release? If there hasn't been, I still believe that this will be a set contained to Japan, like the VS cards.

If you noticed, fossils+rhydon's evo would be compeltely broken. You would deck the opponet before they could get a prize. This move was an obvious one with something like that coming out.

That deck is a joke, it only did well in the half deck format, for obvious reasons.

...lol, joke? No. Seriously, I haven't tested it, but my build should be able to deck out anything in the metagame, including with farmer.
I dont want to hear complaining about it being an online petition, alot have been succesful, besides, I consider this more of A "venting place" about it, I mean it really stinks, I mean, the fossils worth 5 cents each will be now...1 cent each, and the kabutops,kabuto,omanyte etc. etc. will drop MAJORLY in value, Fossil Pokemon have alot of potential, but it is getting absolutely ruined by this, I mean, n the 2nd DP set the 2 new theme decks feature the fossils, who is gonna bother if the fossils get prizes, THEY CANT EVEN ATTACK, heck if they could confuse or other stuff it *MIGHT* be worth playing, but even then, no, Stall decks are cheap and easy to make, they are doing this with fossils to make more money, why? so everyone goes after decks like Bandoom and Mewtric, cause you have to go through several boxes to get some of the cards you need, thus, more money in there pocket, ALL the decisions regarding new rules has been all about the money.
I personally don't like this ruling. In slow-setup decks it was somewhat good to use fossils to buy yourself another turn or two of valuable setup time.
Besides, they can't attack or retreat. The only thing that poses any threat is a claw fossil which can do a maximum of 40 damage, usually it only does 10-20.
I would like POP to change this, but I know that it'll probably never happen.
Although if POP could make one change I would make the modified format be FRLG on like Japan. The cards still sell just fine in Japan with the large pool of cards available. And there would be more combos out there, and consequently more counter-decks and a much more diverse metagame.

Whatever value the Kabutops has is not much higher than what its rarity value is. It isn't like it is in high demand, it doesn't see a lot of play. As for the value of a Kabuto and Omanyte, they won't be worth more than the normal value of their rarity.
Again, is there any proof that this set is getting released in the US? Anyone notice that Japan went D/P for only 1 set before switching back to the EX series style cards? It's just a side set, these rules won't be assimilated into the game that we play in the world outside Japan. Before anyone flips out and mails a lot of hate mail to OP, we should first wait to see if it is worth blowing steam over.
I know they werent worth much, thats not the point, fact is, it throws out fossil decks - one of the most over looked types of decks in the game, AND, it throws out stall decks. My opinion - keep the game the same, these new rules WILL kill it, oh maybe A rule change or two wouldnt hurt, *BUT* these changes stink more than Pokepop's feet

mmkay I think you need A diaper change eI_at10s, I play Polistall, I was saying that I didnt play one to shut people up about one of the best decks of all time (lol we all know why you hate it polistall haters, cause it OWNS you lol) there are alot of stall decks that involve fossils, and this move is based solely so people would migrate to the heavy ex arche-types, I.E. more money in there pocket cause you have to buy more and more boosters to get those cards

It is one new ruling. Maybe it won't have any impact(except how fossil decks will be built now). Dark and Metal are now basic, meaning in addition to the 4 special energies that you can play, you can throw in as many Dark or Metal as you like. Does that mean Dark and Metal types will dominate now? Who knows.
Not to mention, no T1 Transceiver. There goes your first turn start. But, you can draw a card. Going first never looked so good
Just live with it. If Polistall can stall now, then it can be built to stall later. Or, you could ditch the deck and take up something brand new.
On your last post, what ex heavy decks are out there right now? Let's see...Bandoom, Sally variants, and....what else? There isn't much ex stuff out there dominating. Everything is winning.
BTW, Metagross d and Dragonite d are no more expensive then Politoed ex :smile:

is the change really going to be that great? we've already had a major shift of rules when we started expedition. it honestly doesn't take that long to adjust.
From the looks of this already more people are quitting than supporting this move.
alot of these new rules really SUCK beyond belief, and, I really dont CARE Metal Master, THEY chose A R/S on format, THEY are the ones who built THERE grave, WE should not be punished, and besides, Polistall isnt really A stall deck per say.

our game time isnt getting sent into oblivion, why? well quite simply, alot of decks work around the fossils, Americans have 1 game that lasts 40 minutes to my knowledge, here in OZ, we have to do best of 3 in 40 minutes, Time doesnt get sent into obvlivion, that ONLY happens shed stall versus shedstall...but they dont even last all that long sometimes, alot of these new "mechanics" and "rules" designed to help this game SUCK, and, IMO, it is the most possitivly WORST move since WOTC NOT banning Slowking.

i think if you're playing a stall deck, you need to get a life, but they arent broken by any means
you have NO IDEA what any of the new cards do. I'm 99% positive that the game will still be balanced with prizes being drawn for fossils. you don't know whats in the set, you don't know how the cards affect the game, so in conclusion, lock this topic until the release of diamond and pearl.
