i know in D/P fossil will become a basic pokemon...but it havn;t out yet and they enforce the rules?

fossil now is weak, and mostly will be 1 hit kill....so if they enforce the rules fossil base deck will not be play-able as the fossil will be an easy target....

i will accept the rules when fossile is officially become a basic pokemon, not a trainer card.

But anyone using the argument that Fossil evolutions become weaker is forgetting one important fact: Those Pokémon are already virtually unplayable. (Name _one_ deck with say, Armaldo or Kabutops, that has done well recently) The only thing Fossils are used for are stalling, not evolving. If anything, this new rule will make Fossils actually see play in decks where it makes "sense" for them to be (in decks where you evolve them). Because who knows, there might actually be released strong Fossils evolutions one day.

Armaldo ex is powerful but has a humiliating auto-loss to Flariados (1 energy = OHKO, eww).

So far most of the first-stage fossils have had very good early attacks (SS Omanyte/Kabuto, Influence), but the second-stage evolutions have been lacklustre. HP Omastar is pretty beefy but only late game; what do you do early game? SS Cradily was a monster and did see some tournament success, but BEX ruined its chances.

I'm sure PCL will improve fossil pokemon if fossils become unplayably bad...

How about waiting till the new cards/rules are actually officially translated and released HERE before declaring doom, gloom and that the game is ruined?

I wish the old WotC 'gym archive was still available to link to; there was much the SAME reaction when the VS set came out in Japan..."OMG teh game is RUIND!!1!!! I'm quitting teh game!!1!"

And guess what...those particular cards and rules NEVER came into play outside of Japan (except in VERY limited translations at the TMB that year). Ooops?

I guess if one's mind is already made up that POP/PCL/TPC has no idea what they're doing, only cares about $ and that they're out to ruin the game for everyone....
