true enough krucifer, but our format won't just have the new diamond and pearl set. it will have a set called power keepers also. and nobody has spoilers for that. if you want to, go read the spoilers, and then make a claim as to why the fossils need to keep their current ruling, instead of ignorantly posting a petition to keep a ruling you have gotten used to.

Diamond and Pearl is supposed to be deisgned to fit in with the Current Format (and unless they are truly heartless, it should be DS/LM on after rotation) and I will make A 'claim' right now, there will be new mechanics and rules that you will not like...Lafonte member......I believe your type are known to complain about something that 'displeases' them...I guess we will wait and see wont we?

Dude, there is NOTHING you can do about it. If POP wants it to happen, you have 2 choices..Quit, or play with the rules. They arent making you stay. I think it is stupid to say these rules suck, before you play with them. I personally LOVE the new rules. Mainly cause I hate Stall decks, but i still LOVE the new rules. Get overyour self, you cant change it.

Besides...ONly n00bs play fossils...

Well one thing is for sure...you can't please everybody.

The new fossil rule and the rest as well...fine and so be it at least one thing for sure some we are ready for it and it will definately will put our deck skills to the test. No matter what others can say.

Because only the word change never changes.

Some will go and some will come but the rules that will be soon be implemented will stay.

Just wait for the cards to come (and it has been said many times many ways ).

From the looks of this already more people are quitting than supporting this move.

alot of these new rules really SUCK beyond belief, and, I really dont CARE Metal Master, THEY chose A R/S on format, THEY are the ones who built THERE grave, WE should not be punished, and besides, Polistall isnt really A stall deck per say.

lets see, heavy ex decks......

mewtric
sallygross
bandoom

and there are others, I just cant think much right now.

our game time isnt getting sent into oblivion, why? well quite simply, alot of decks work around the fossils, Americans have 1 game that lasts 40 minutes to my knowledge, here in OZ, we have to do best of 3 in 40 minutes, Time doesnt get sent into obvlivion, that ONLY happens shed stall versus shedstall...but they dont even last all that long sometimes, alot of these new "mechanics" and "rules" designed to help this game SUCK, and, IMO, it is the most possitivly WORST move since WOTC NOT banning Slowking.
45 minutes. ;)

This game is made in Japan. The game's creators decide the rules. Every change in the rules has sparked a sobfest among the players who are too lazy or uncreative to adapt to the new rules and exploit them. If the deck you've been playing for 18 months straight takes a hit from a rule change then either change the deck to compensate or build a new deck.

Starting an online petition just makes players look like whiny little kids. Get over it!

I only need four mysterious fossils in my deck but if your going to change the rule there goes my free retreat energy search with the two aerodactyl that I run. Now my deck wasn't that great but now it will really suck. Thanks POP.

Did the first set for D/P have fossils in them?

If they didn't, then they might actually make fossils or their evolutions powerful. Just think about it, if they release a new rule to make certian cards weak, then they will probably give them something in return.

There is obviously a reason. There will be cards coming out that will balance out this ruling. There have always been rule changes and with every change there are always some that throw their hands up in horror and feel that the sky is crashing down. Trust me, when D/P is released the world will not abruptly end!!

TBH, I'm surprised no-ones petitioned yet about drawing turn 1, no trainers turn 1, making dark/metal decks more broken by making them effectively basic energy.

How will dark/metal decks become more broken? They already have potentially 4 metal, 4 dark metal, 4 rainbow, 12 magtroforms, 4 delta rainbow, 4 multi...

Drawing a card t1 but not having access to trainers t1 is a balance thing. I still have absolutely no idea what you people are on about with that. OH MY GOD, GOING FIRST CAN NOW DRAW 1 CARD! SO CRAZY!

If your deck NEEDS!!!!!!! fossil stalls to set up, your deck doesn't sound very good. I've never played Fossils in any deck besides... well... Fossil decks, and frankly, having Fossils ignore prize rules is a fairly nasty advantage (hi, none of my basic pokemon give you prizes when KOed, and de-evolution doesn't even do it). Granted, fossil pokemon at the moment aren't very good (besides Armaldo ex) but that still doesn't justify allowing their basic pokemon to be prize-free.

Everyone saying they'll quit over this handful of new rules shouldn't even be playing, IMO... either that or they'll be like the players back in RS's day that said "oh my god, no more flip to retreat confused? MY CONFUSION DECK IS RUINED, I QUIT!"

Uh...maybe the move was because there were lots of fossils being used in stall decks in Japan that sent time into oblivion because they never finished the rounds?

It is one new ruling. Maybe it won't have any impact(except how fossil decks will be built now). Dark and Metal are now basic, meaning in addition to the 4 special energies that you can play, you can throw in as many Dark or Metal as you like. Does that mean Dark and Metal types will dominate now? Who knows.

Not to mention, no T1 Transceiver. There goes your first turn start. But, you can draw a card. Going first never looked so good

Just live with it. If Polistall can stall now, then it can be built to stall later. Or, you could ditch the deck and take up something brand new.

On your last post, what ex heavy decks are out there right now? Let's see...Bandoom, Sally variants, and....what else? There isn't much ex stuff out there dominating. Everything is winning.

BTW, Metagross d and Dragonite d are no more expensive then Politoed ex

It's almost as if you're suggesting Metal decks don't dominate the game. Regardless, Dark and Metal being basic doesn't mean anything.

I agree 100%

Personally, I don't actually see many people actually using the Basic version of Dark and Metal... They would just be using the versions with the abilities...

The only instance would be in a deck that only uses dark pokemon, but would need Dark Metal NRG. Dragtrode comes to mind as a possibility, but that isn't modified anymore...

Dark and Metal being Basics dont mean jack squat.

RyanVirgil, I usually play A Gengar deck, I decided to use something different, I have used Polistall for......2 or 3 weeks now? and I like it, why? because it has Frogs in it, and, because I have fun playing it, but wait, isnt that what you are SUPPOSED to do? have fun while playing the TCG?

also, for all you people in A complete and utter complainy mood, can A mod please change the name to: "stuff the new D/P rules! I have money!" and that might...shut...A few people up :)

some of these new rules are quite nice, *BUT* some of them really really SUCK! I mean, I would agree with it *IF ONLY* the fossils had more HP, could do decent attacks for A basic, like 1 colourless for 10 and sleep or something, A mysterioius fossil should be mysterious, so use your imagination......for claw fossil, there is this thing called Claw Attack, and...err...Root Fossil......use your imagination there aswell 0_o

I will shutup about this fossil stuff ONLY IF they can justify changing them like this by making them have DECENT HP and DECENT ATTACKS

So, wait, the only rule you think *****! is the fossil change?

Why do the fossils have to have high HP or attacks? They'd really just have to balance it out by giving better attacks and stats to the Fossil evolutions... and traditionally they've been pretty beefy (hi Cradily SS, sup Armaldo ex) though not broken.

Besides, it doesn't make sense for a fossil to attack at all. It's a 100% non-living thing. Part of the process of getting the Fossil based pokemon in the games is putting the fossil through a machine or what have you to revive it.

I really think you're just having sour grapes over your silly PoliStall deck. =/ By the way, that isn't the only way to play Politoed and is a rather outdated and useless archetype.

and yet A Pikachu can OHKO A steelix, since WHEN was Pokemon realistic!

Since when can a Pikachu OHKO a Steelix? I wasn't aware of a Pikachu that could do 100+ damage after resistance...
