Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokemon Video Game Championship Series - World Championship Discussion

The PBR they use for worlds and the qualifyers is custom made to have the worlds logo, special mkusic and many other cool thing. like if both players are from japan, the announcer will change to the japanese voice.

Wow, that's really lame...So that means that soundtrack is something I could never find?

That sucks, because the track is SO good!

Can someone who has more experience with the video games give me some advice? I'm working on a Sandstorm/Earthquake-based team, and I'm trying to decide which would be a better Choice Specs sweeper, Salamence or Flygon. I'm not sure whether Flygon's Sandstorm immunity would make up for it's general inferiority.

Salamence all the way for special sweeping:

1) Much better SpA (Base 110 compared to Base 80)
2) Better array of special moves (Hydro Pump notably)
3) Defensively better due to Intimidate

Regardless, each is gonna likely die to an Ice attack due to x4 weakness, so that's a non-factor. Yes, immunity to SS is potentially nice, but Salamence offers much better killing potential to Flygon. If you really want to run with Flygon, I'd recommend running him as an attacker, which at least then plays to his strengths (like throw a Choice Band on him).

Just got my walls prepped for this weekend's tourney , now to grind the attackers.

I've never done such detailed team assembly but I'm impressed with my team so far, now hopefully we get picked, it should be interesting.

Sigh...time to kick butt this weekend I guess, if I get picked of course...god, I hate that random selection process. At the least, hold these all on the same day like they do for the TCG, so that out-of-state people stay in-state...

Just got back from the Video Game Championship here in Phoenix. No luck for me or my girlfriend on getting in. Annoyed, but it's nothing compared to people that traveled from out of state and didn't get in. 077 Ponyta wasn't my lucky number.

Didn't stick around to see any matches though, so I can't give any updates on who or what is being played.

Well, I was...nice words here...very very angry to say the least. Didn't get selected, go figure...sigh...no offense, but I'm really hating the fact even though I had to be among the first 50 there and registered, and then waiting 2 hours just to find out I didn't get picked sucks a lot...not to mention the stupid out of state people clogging up entry. I think I'm going to right to whoever (POP, PUI, etc) with a few proposals, I mean, it's I think pretty stupid that your local people in the state have a reduced chance of getting in just because a bunch of idiots from California or wherever come on in. In fact, that's going to be one of my suggestions - have all the regionals the same day (like the TCG) so you won't get this problem (as much at any rate).

They are called regionals for a reason - for the general region, otherwise they would be called States.

Yeah, and the TCG has its regionals all on the same day. I'm just saying, since I was at least one of the first 50 to arrive, then got to wait around for nothing the next 2 hours...just depressing to me when I hear some California idiot whose regionals already took place in their state has to come over to here. I mean, I saw quite a few locals who didn't get in...just saying this is something I think needs to be improved on.

Oh well, always the dreaded "next year". That and BRs are starting soon :thumb:

If you get to play, you get it after you play your rounds.
if you do not play, there is a booth to recieve it.

either way, they then take your wrist band.

Also, they don't have to take your wristband, I asked if I could keep mine and was able to.
