Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

UK REGIONALS (aka States) Rumours and Facts

Definitely Reading, it's some distance from High Wycombe and some TO operates over there, unrelated to Slough's league up the M4.

Reading's definitely one SC I'll be wanting to go to =))

I spoke to colin and he said that its to late for me to confirm about the Brighton SC :frown: (missed the dealine by a few days) but has told me the Bournemouth will happen:smile:. That means that i CAN confirm the i WILL have at least a CC if not a SC in Brighton during 2006:smile: .

That will be most foils but also most creatively done .. Judges decision .. extra points for those FOIL Matrix Energy .. mmmm shiney shiney shiney ..

would a Medicham/LAnturn/Banette deck all holo with foil matrix energis, 4 DRE rh and all trainers holo (including 3 rh tv reporter) win perhaps? I'm just wondering.

Nah, the cards in my deck are all gold plated and blended with the aromas of ancient chinese tea leaves, it'll win for sure.

Mmmm maybe but would the prize pay for the cost of the flight over??

The provision of TEA as a bribe may well sway the judges opinion.. if players would like to test this theory by providing judges with TEA throughout the day they may find that they bring much needed refreshment and maybe a friendly attitude towards their deck..

Ah TEA I have a pint mug next to me right now!!

As i saw LONDON STATE CHAMPIONSHIP Details on op.pokemon-tcg.com I take it as confirmed.

London prepare for Czech invasion! 8 people are coming to get all spots in TOP 8 15+!

hehe yah I wish I could go, but I wont even make it to US Nats this year cause I didn't win a State Championship down here, and yah Iwas talking about my Worlds deck, cause that's what I used.

Still no information on the READING State championship :( If the rumored date of 9th April is correct then someone is cutting it awfully close to locate a venue. Not to mention time to actually advertise the event!

bad news.

chalkey has just said that he hasn't recieved any information on dates for states from TPfG and has no idea where they got the number from.

so, for now, no news on falkirk state.

Hmmm so does anyone know what's going on about Reading? Still nothing confirmed? I'm a little sceptile.

Reading info is up and has been for a while at the TPFG website...

Here are the details:

Winnersh Community Centre
New Road
Sindlesham
Wokingham
Berkshire
RG41 5DU

The tournament will start from 11 AM, this Saturday, 9th April.

£5 entry fee, usual prizes.

Hope to see as many people there as possible.

Thanks

I've just checked the official OP website and the Reading event on the 9th is STILL NOT SANCTIONED!

The link from TPFG that allows emails to be sent to the TO is broken NoPoke/Ian. When I tried to preregister - like I tried to for your CCs - the emails get bounced back, I think it's perhaps something internal on TPFG.

Obviously Irwin's offering to help as an alternative to emailing TPFG who can be slow responding due to other commitments (we're this close too to Saturday). So he's willing to accept emails as much as say you or I would, being the most local TO to Reading.

Hope that fills some gaps.
As for the TO, well I can't find him anywhere online =''( but yes you're right, questions SHOULD be addressed to the TO and something's gone horribly wrong...

the pre-registration link is working fine for me Freddy, I get pre-registered players for my tournaments and have sucessfully pre-registered for the upcomming states.

The fact remains that the only people who should be answering questions about any tournament are those involved in its running. it can get awfully messy if Irwin makes a commitment on behalf of TPFG without their express authority.
