Last year the Trip would pass down to the first UK player that was able to take the place. I confirmed this with both the local op provider and Jarod before entering the top 8.
So Freddy, it didn't matter if you won or lost in the final as family commitments would have prevented me from attending worlds anyway.
There is no reason to believe that it will be any different this year. The purpose of the trip being to obtain representation at worlds by a local player. The trip does pass down!
