Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

UK REGIONALS (aka States) Rumours and Facts

Last year the Trip would pass down to the first UK player that was able to take the place. I confirmed this with both the local op provider and Jarod before entering the top 8.

So Freddy, it didn't matter if you won or lost in the final as family commitments would have prevented me from attending worlds anyway.

There is no reason to believe that it will be any different this year. The purpose of the trip being to obtain representation at worlds by a local player. The trip does pass down!

Travel awards will only be awarded to players competing in their own country. If a player from another country wins a travel award, only an invitation to Worlds is earned, the travel award is passed down to the next national player

Slaking can easily play Pidgeot to search their own Battle frontier to completely shut down Rock-lock. It DOES hurt Slaking player but not as much as Rock lock player. An Slaking can play Magcargo (even though it would be difficult).

I too think that Trip gets passed down. If not, I think no foreign player will have any problems, dropping in Final, cause he would get invitation as well, and the trip would not be lost.

Well I sure hope the Trip would get passed down. I can't say I know at all either way because everyone knows I'm new to this game and don't have a clue about how the procedure has gone in previous seasons. Of course, better than the trip getting passed down would be to have a 1st placed UK player. No need to be scared, we have plenty players who can beat anyone on a good day (With a bit of good fortune of course).

If you want to compare skills hook up on Apprentice. You've all heard of that, right? =|
I've played metagross on apprentice many times, with a fairly balanced win/loss ratio.

Metagross - So, Pidgeot in Slaking to bring out Battle Frontier and not only shut down your Pidgeot but also your own Slaking... wow, sounds broken... ^_^

Slakings shuts sonw Powers. So does Battle Frontier.... So unless your oponent is playing Magcargo (in which case you wouldnt play BF) its just the same...

could we not have this whole argument after nats, and after we have seen the results? that wud be the time...
metagross, altho an excellent player mite not win!

what arguement? the faq says the trip passes down. thats what would have happened last year too. Theres only one person saying otherwise. Judge for yourself why that might be. In the words of a mythical TV politician "I couldn't possible comment" LOL

Yeah let's have a Poliwag at UK Nationals 2005 and a Metagross too if they can make it.. the more the merrier I say and let's see the best play the best :)

Perhaps the example shown by the UK will open up more opportunities across Europe ?

Ooooooo just realised I didn't get my States Pin and Machoke

*cries*

I have a few but not enough to go round everyone who was in the 15+ at London State and I will be sending them to your League Leaders when I get the pre-releases over and done with :)

I would ask that if you already have a pin and promo from another state then please don't ask for one and deprive a new player of them.

Unfortunately there were just not enough to go round but I will send out all I have now rec'd .

Well that's a shame. If I have to miss out I have to miss out, I won't make a fuss! Personally I have no league leader but that was the only State Championship I went to (although I tried to go to Reading.....)
