Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Why Does Galactic Win

Power Spray has to be considered a "Broken Card", the ability to shut down key powers without attacking is huge, no real way to prevent it, AND the ability to search for it.... Especially with many players relying on "Set-Up" early game to get going that card is key.

Does anyone know the matchup for Galactic v.s Gigas? I'm thinking once gigas is set up its over, thats quite the pokemon to take down.

Not if you power spray him at the right time. It all depends on the G build.

that's really a crappy list sorry to say
but who want's to shuffle hisher hand back into the deck 3 times

And power spray can only be played 4 times
So play Super sacoop so you can use ur Uxie a second time
No-one can be that lucky as Manuel to have two or three powerspray's in hand

Use Dialga G it has resistance to Toxicroak and isn't affected by skuntank. With Unown G it can't be toxic'd by crobat. It can get you a few turns to set up. (if they dont play Honchcrow)

From my testing it's about 50-50 depending on the build. Felicities really helps with power spray.

Galatic has great early game present but will lose if they let their opponents play long enough If decks like Blastcatty and Torterra/Shaymin get set up against G then they will wear it down.

The control/spread based one is trickier to beat or tech against. You will be power locked close to every turn, so in order to play against it, you really have to get lucky with your drawing and try to set up as many of your Pokemon as you can. They will aim for your basics abusing the Crobat G+Honchkrow G sniping, and Palkia G can also do its fair share of damage. It's weakness is Looker's Investigation and cutting off their Uxie's or Palkia G Lv. X.

From my point of view it is the versatility of the spread and control based versions that makes Pokémon [SP] decks shine. This also comes close to the definition of a toolbox that enables you to pull the proper screw from the arsenal. Toxicroak decks are not toolboxes. At least not most of the ones available online.

Yeah that's true people here just do and think what they read I bed that 50% of the people who read this will not play dialga g x at all cuz of that.

Does that all mean that dutch players are bad '??
because our tops don't contain G decks at all

N 1 Martin with machamp
no 2 Anna with machamp
nr 3 Jeroen with Giratina Lv X
nr 4 Kristel with Giratina Lv X

So I think the card that you really should all be afraid off is Giratina in any combination with Absol for handcontrol
The most G decks Loose to that deck

I don't see where all this "OMG EVERYONES PLAYING G" is coming from.
I was the ONLY one playing it today at WI states in seniors. I won with it, heh.
It's an AMAZING deck, with very few bad matchups, which aren't even that bad.
Dialga G LV X is a huge strength of the deck. You can put your opponent under a power AND body lock, while slamming them for high damage, and having the ability to cheat death with poketurn. There's no real disadvantage.
Also, another great aspect of the deck is that bad starts are far and few between. With 3 honchkrow, 2 weavile, I only started with something else once all day.
People who opt towards Toxicroak as their main attacker are...bad. Weavile hits for even more, still poisons them, and has a slightly better type. Sure, it costs 1 more energy, but that's not a problem.
The deck snipes, poisons, locks...it's ridiculous.

Seriously? There was nothing but G decks at states today. G, Kingdra, Machamp, Blastcatty, Dusknoir, and an uxienightmare deck t. Watching that guy play something like 19 trainers in one turn was absurd. -shakes head-

Gigas can win G decks, It's not easy, but it's one of te best decks against it. If it plays enough supporters and 4 Healers it will have even a good mach up. They just set up with it and they can try to Sacrifice T2, if tehy can't they jsut haves to wait until next turn, and so on. There can't be more than 4 Power Sprays in the deck, Gigas OHKO's many G pokes, but there is no G poke to OHKO it. Still i'd like G decks also, mine Weavile/Crobat/Skuntank/Toxicroak/Honchkrow have done well in testing. Also Dialga G X looks like a tough dude.

Palkia/Diaga >= Gigas >> G, from what I saw. I don't know how our T8 panned out, perhaps the other Gigas player beat Palkia/Dialga and I just messed up my match/testing.

Its like the new destiny in a way correct me if I'm wrong high HP Basics disruption, bench control ,power locks, and many options.

It lokks like there are many beeds of galactic, and, at states i have learned something.
TOXITANK SUCKS. palkia is great. dialga is ok. toolbox is bad. but toxitank sucks.

toxitank is fast and consistant in theory, but in practice it has proved to be to slow to keep up with the massive power built up by set up decks like blastcatty.

states told all. toxitank and toolbox = epic fail.
niether made top cut with some of the best players using them.
