well while you all drone on and on and on about Phione NOT making the set and other cards I might as well join in this was the card I wanted to see by next set it will be useless to me but I had an incredible idea with it that is now shot to crap

Chatot L.30 – Colorless – HP60
Basic Pokemon

[.] Mimic: Shuffle your hand into your deck. Then, count the number of cards in your opponent’s hand and draw that many cards.
[C][C] Chatter: 20 damage. The Defending Pokemon can’t retreat during your opponent’s next turn.

Weakness: Lightning (+20)
Resistance: Fighting (-20)
Retreat: 0

Wow, quit your whining jesus all the cards will be printed eventually so why make a big fuss about this. Its not like they are going to stop the press just for you so they can put the freaking cards in the set obviously they had a reason for doing what they did. So just quit whining and everything will come out.

The suprise was Claydol. Honestly, this is quite a good discussion, So just let me chime in with a few bits of my personal opinion.
This format sucks. I'm sorry if thats vulgar or rude, but its true. Making an original deck that can survive in this format is next to impossible, as the number of useful cards has dropped drastically IMO. Not to mention we don't have the "good old back and forth" we used to have, such as having Cursed Stone to keep power decks off balance, Rainbow Energy to make more technical and advanced decks with multiple types easier to make or Pokemon who don't immeadiatly die out the minute we get a new set. Feel free to edit out the third word in this paragraph if it is rude, but its as blunt as I could be without swearing.

Honestly, we need a set like Legend Makers right now. It had many cards that were immeadiatly able to be worked into decks, and lots of cards to supplement existing decks. A set like that would REALLY help, rather than just a Pop-out archetype set like MT or SW.

Claydol isn't that good a card.

I like Baltoy, but I seriously doubt how a pokémon who is only good because of its power can really work at all. As I see it, amulet coin and leftovers are the perfect reason to use cast away and lapras. When cessation crystal is just so easy to add (and ultimately will be played if claydol is popular), the Claydol played had better have other tactics. I'm happy to see a nice Absol counter but drawing "up to" is IMO not going to be fashionable for long. Hand disruption will see less play and generally hand aren't going to be small.

Hmmm maybe Pachirisu/Claydol is sort of foolproof or maybe not, but I have little confidence that Claydol is 100% reliable at all.

Claydol isn't that good a card.

And thats all I needed to read to stop taking your post seriously...

Claydol will be good for decks that get rid of alot of cards from their hand, so even if hand disruption goes "out of style" (and it never has or will), he will see play in those decks. Claydol will work in decks he works works in, and will be amazing there. Simple as that.

Let's just see what wins Regionals/whatever tourneys then. Claydol in whatever the BDIF turns out as... perhaps, perhaps not. I personally don't think it will be.

You know, a deck isn't the BDIF only because it won something great once. Here's to more rogue decks showing up and the game becoming diverse once more!

Lm-On would have a perfect balance of everything.

Power counters (Cursed Stone)
Good Psychics to counter Gardylade (Banette ex, mew ex, misdrevous)
Stadium Cards worth playing (Stone, Stump, Tree)
Rainbow Energy

Ugh keeping it would have made everything better

I have so many quotes from people thinking they know what they're talking about with GE cards that I have run out of sig room. Claydol not a good card, you have to be kidding me.
