    Offensive material at tournaments question

First post on this forum in months because this actually properly arose my attention, lol. The way I see it, it's always the Head Judge's final decision over anything in the tournament, especially if this 'prof' is a player in this event. If the head judge and/or store owner believes it is...

    UK Nats Thread Discussion

No idea of Seniors. Masters - Yacine won. It was Yacine and Sami in the finals and Sami conceded, apparently.

    UK Nats Thread Discussion

Apparently, 5 rounds of Swiss for masters, T16 cut. I've spoken to Justin K by phone - he managed an 3-2 record and came 18th. Andy S (last year's finalist) went 2-3. Masters Top 16 contained the usual suspects: John H, Freddy, Sami, Yacine. Nitish D also got in this year - don't know...

UK and Europe - Selfridges Battle Royal - 24 November 2007

Isn't Scotland as good as an international team? :P We should have at least 2 coming down. See you there.

UK and Europe - Selfridges Battle Royal - 24 November 2007

Ooh...this is tempting. I can't confirm that I will be attending yet - my school kind of want me to go on a trip with my A level Music buddies to the opera...specifically Weber's "Der Freischutz". But I'm sure I can convince them a trip to London is more important. :D

    Luciano Pavarotti 1935 - 2007

I really admired him. I am a tenor myself and really wanted to meet him but sadly that won't be now. I will always remember his last performance - at the Winter Olympics a while back, singing "Nessun Dorma" which is one of my favourite operatic songs. Wonderful. RIP.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows...Ending Revealed!!!

For what its worth, guys, that's the book out now in many English-speaking territories. I was up at the midnight launch at Blackwells in Edinburgh and it was packed. Nowhere near as bad as Waterstones in London, but still fairly intense. Picked up 4 copies for myself and a couple of friends...

    Sami Sekkoum

Well done Sami, you played brill on the day. Watching you play Yacine in 2nd round was brill - it probably was a fix. :P Oh, and if you're keeping that stylish hair-do, PLEASE straighten it for next year's Nats. Just for a laugh. :D Best of luck at Worlds, mate. Cole

Andy'S UK Masters Second Place Report

<3 Andy. Seriously, you played brilliantly. I saw your first T4 game vs. Dharyl - you played everything really confidently. It was just a shame I couldn't stay to watch the end and your final match but Scotland is a far way away. :D Major props to ya - see you next year. Cole

UK Nationals - Judges - Staff - anyone know anything

I might - I'd probably have a better chance of winning. :P Well, we'll see how we cope with, like, 1 judge on the day. I hope it doesn't end up that way tho.

    Tribute To POP

FWIW Magic does. Pro Tour + World Championships + Pro Players Club = trips around about 6 times a year around the world. Check it out first. But I would like to thank POP for its hard work. Well done. Keep it up.

    UK National Championships - 2nd June 2007

I just got an e-mail from Carl. Apparently they lack e-mail/address records for 60% of invitees this year. Therefore they've send out a generic invite e-mail - I could forward this if necessary to those who don't have them. They've also attached an invite list of all those who've...

UK Nationals - Judges - Staff - anyone know anything

Dom, don't worry. I'll give you a hat if you judge. :P In all seriousness it is a bit shoddy this year overall, ain't it? Especially considering the whole ratings situation earlier this year and the Battle Road difficulties. Like I've said, Chalkey is willing to judge should he be...

    UK National Championships - 2nd June 2007

Thank you Ben...or should I call you Pablo from now on? lol. I'll add that to the front page soon. kaworu - If you don't get invites, go anyway. They seem to be sent to people's e-mail addresses this year. As NoPoke has said, if you have qualified, you'll be fine. Even if you hadn't, they...

    UK National Championships - 2nd June 2007

Back on topic, please! We can start the mind games on Tuesday. :P I've updated the front page with a couple of tidbits, basically trying to clear up the format a little and reiterate what NoPoke is saying, re: invites. If ANYONE has any more info to share, do so please via posting here...
