    Canadian National Championship 2013

Okay guys, enough's enough with people calling me saying I've posted to the 'gym and I'm going to "get mine" for calling out the cheaters at Nats. I've been staying OUT of this, and I didn't even hear anything happened until it came to my door. Now the reality is, this is pretty commonplace...

Is the current format the worst ever?

_DEFINITELY_ Reversal format, of recent formats. I would also hate on Expedition block, all 3 formats ruined by Rocket's Zapdos, and the early EX block formats that almost killed Nintendo's attempts to revive the game. Spring BR Sableye format's problems were overblown, and while it was a bad...

    New league promos? Catcher?

No pins on the backs of the badges? They could've still done that with the badge case...OUCH! That's kind of annoying.

    Tournament Organizer Gary Warren

I'm VERY interested in seeing what comes of this. There is a "termination without notice or stated reason" clause - for TOs, PTOs, Professors, AND players of Play! Pokemon. Anyone can be banned at any time if they feel like it. It is expected for ethical and PR reasons that they do not do this...

Player Rewards: Do they still Exist?

I've been signed up since the program started back with POP, continued to update my information with Play, and I have not seen anything since the database changeover 3 years ago. I've talked to custserv a few times but got no responses. Most people at my league have the same experience, though a...

    Cheating on Camera

This will be interesting. I look forward to seeing what's next - I hope the crusade against cheating in this game has only begun. I still see WAY too much of it.

    Crystal Wall

They also have "remaining HP" which is max HP - (damage counters * 10). It is rarely used but some cards reference this.

    Pull Rates for Boundaries Crossed

I would love to get a better idea of how many BAD blister packs there are compared to these ridiculous ones...people love to brag about insane blister pulls, but are blisters really that loaded?

I think there needs to be another product that has basic energy cards.

Cut the boosters, price it at 20 bucks. The point is to make it cheap and accessible, and besides - I barely see starters sell without being priced to clear.

"Warning" email delivered by Pokemon TCG Online

I certainly think that would be acceptable, especially for some of the silly things that have come up in this thread. Or at least giving the option for players to disable the chat filter entirely _for people on their friends list_ (if and when that works).

The lack of communication between Japan and the rest of the World

Not that I KNOW of, I googled it myself and got jack all. I'm currently as confused as you are.

The lack of communication between Japan and the rest of the World

Oh my god...someone who looks to have actual game development experience. This may not be Privateer Press but you get a cookie and a plushie. :thumb: Also mmm...5 Guys... As for the Compendium team, I wholeheartedly agree that they are creating a nonzero benefit. I have often criticized...

PTCGO Terms of Service: Change Please?

No, Jim, you're quite right, and in fact this can be a serious liability issue for PTCGO if they attempt to prevent someone from publicizing an exploit that could cause damages to users. Remember, kids, the Internet is not the United States of America. You can get dragged into all KINDS of courts!

The lack of communication between Japan and the rest of the World

I'll see if I can. It's board and card game industry mag, and as of last year I'm pursuing other careers and it no longer shows up at my office in a robotics shop. I'm guessing the website would be through whoever the analysis firm is.

The lack of communication between Japan and the rest of the World

I'd love to see it - and I think you'll have a rather illustrious career if you can pull it off.

The lack of communication between Japan and the rest of the World

Should be in the Q1 2011 issue of Guild. You'll have to buy it.

The lack of communication between Japan and the rest of the World

That reminds me of a BRUTAL industry editorial written about Pokemon TCG in March 2011. There's no consistency, and it was even worse back then, because serious penalties could be handed out to people playing by the "real rules". The problem is, nobody, even judges, had a consistent view of what...

    Misstep in Boundaries Crossed Release

You're actually talking about the last format BEFORE the parity decision was made. After HS-on it was decided that the TCG would try to keep parity with Japan. That was published when they announced the new 4-set rotation plan for MD-on, but said "it would take a full rotation to implement"...

    Misstep in Boundaries Crossed Release

I seriously doubt 2013-2014 will be BC-on, rotating seven sets a season would be far too costly for players and competitive would shrink faster than a sugar cube in a hurricane. The HS-on rotation was an emergency rotation, and the four-set or block rotation rule will be upheld - 2013-2014 will...
