stellix is good but to combine it is the problem cause meganium ex is good but, sceptile ex d disables it, lol....

the best tech in todays metagame is latios ex d.
he beats all exs with only 2 energy.
there attacks dont damage him and hes got free retreat and no efects from the attack..[dragonite ex d starts crying]
and then with latias d from hp=nice as combo

You only need 2 cards
Discard the steelix when using alakazam*s' attack. And there are ways around "safeguard" pokemon especially one that requires the attack to make it a safeguard pokemon: warp point, non exs, etc.

i think it's a great tech in that deck since 100 with no drawbacks except discarding steelix
omg secret metanite techs ftw.... not. i've been consistantly beating metanite with mercury, even with the tech. there are ways to play around everything.
as for the crystal shards, i actually HAVE started teching them and castaways into a lot of my decks. they work wonders, try it.

Against gardy d, DO NOT LOAD UP YOUR BENCH, geez. just KO it without them KOing you, shouldn't be to hard to pull off.
Gardy ex: Secret tech FTW(not latios*, but that works too)

Scizor ex: OK, you just ko it, big woop. Or you bring it down to like, 70 hp left so it's body doesn't kick in, then you KO it next turn.
