Get the lowdown on one of the biggest tournaments of the year!
http://www.pokemon.com/us/play-pokemon/championship-series/tcg-national-championships/

Quick details:
  • June 29 - July 1 (prereg June 28), Indiana Convention Center (in Indianapolis)
  • Round breakdown (number per day) same as last year
  • $14,000 in scholarships to be dished out in each division, divided among the Top 8
  • Championship points for at least the Top 32 in each division, could be Top 64 depending on attendance (20 for the winner)
  • Must have 10 Play! Points (NOT to be confused with Championship Points!) to be eligible
  • Registration will only be guaranteed to the first 270 Juniors, 270 Seniors, and 640 Masters. Note that this is the minimum guaranteed, not a hard cap. There's nothing to say that players 271/271/641 etc will not get in.
  • Top 4 in each division get Worlds Trips, Top 8 get Worlds Invites

Based on the information provided, looks like we'll be back where we were in 2010, on the NW corner of the Center. I'm hoping we have rooms A, B, and C this time. For reference, we had room I last year in the SE corner of the building. I personally like being in the NW corner, as it's closer to the hotels and the Skywalk.

I would go but I am working on geting to go to the YGO Nationals its the same weekend. If Ohio falls thought I might try for Indy

Bigger rooms or smaller? Is it closer to the connection that shopping mall had to the Center?

(Wasn't at 2010 Nats)

Thanks for any information anybody can give.

Floor Plans.

Basically, each individual room is smaller, but I'm hoping that they grab a few of those rooms given how much the game has expanded since we were in that corner last.

I could be wrong, but I'm 99% sure we had A, B, and C of what we had last year. I can't view those floor plans from iPhone right now, disregard what I said if they devalidate it. Thanks!

Next time, it would help if you read the first post. 270 are assured. More are accepted up to capacity to be determined by staff

I like how the TCG national page was updated but the VGC pages hasn't - even though it has a lot of the same info.

At first i read that as "get the letdown on one of the biggest tournaments of the year" and i thought they were taking scholarships from Nats too ;_;

Looks fun, though i can never afford to go.

Biggest Pokemon party details are here! I am stoked again as always for this event!

Here's hoping Ill get to see all my friends there again!

Hall C is incorrect. It's Hall I, same as last year. We'll get that updated asap.

Thanks,
Prof. Dav

We're not sharing the same venue with that fraternity again right? That totally sucked because all the hotels were booked up and all the restaurants were packed all day long.

nah, that was a keynote anniversary for the fraternity (50, 100, etc.)

Most likely will not be seeing them this year

Based on the Convention Center website, looks like we're running up against an athletic show (est 4000), a public defender seminar (est 425), and an 800 person conference. TPCi estimated USNats at 5000 people.

It should be SIGNIFICANTLY easier to find rooms this year than last, though probably a touch harder than it was two years ago.

Le sad panda, I can't just play in nationals this year... Time to hit the brackets.

So how does one earn the required 10 Play! points?
