Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

3 Regionals? Seriously?

Now, no one rip me apart for posting this (especially Prof Clay), but the main issue I have with splitting these up into 3 separate weekends is the poor planning of having several regionals in close proximity during the same weekend. For example, IN Regionals are the same weekend as the Philadelphia Regionals, which doesn't make sense because it just adds more travel time and costs more money for someone living in that area of the country to attend another Regional since both ones in the area are on the same weekend.

I just want justification for doing this. Otherwise, I have no overall issues with this.

Not gonna hammer you on this one...its a valid question...

They have to be divided somehow.

I am not one of the PTOs involved with scheduling, but I do believe they are trying to avoid having the majority of the northern events in January...weather problems and all...so that limits the dates those can be on...

They will never make everyone happy when they do the scheduling...and they do not want to schedule events so they step on the other organizers toes...but some overlap will happen.

I'm fine with this as long as the Regionals are close to me. If they aren't then I'll probably end up complaining like last year.

EDIT: Do we know where Virginia Regs are and when?

Yeah, I agree about not having the Northern ones in the winter, but I do think that they should of at least tried to put the Philadelphia one in the spring. And yes, I know it's obvious I live in this area of the country :p

I'm pretty sure Midwest (Madison, WI) is in the spring.

The ONE change we need is for TPCi to open their eyes and allocate a much bigger budget to the P!P guys, so they can make the game actually grow, instead of allocate resources differently while keeping the same budget.

I think it's TPCi we have to reach out to for changes, the P!P guys have been doing it right for a loong time. I'm sure if it were up to them they'd have all 15 Regionals during each of the 3 weekends.

Not to agree or disagree with you but I would be inclined to not post info you dont have. I know this is your opinion only, but to avoid any confusion, please dont make posts like this. Lets wait until Jimmy or one of the higher ups comes out any lets us know when it will be. :thumb:

I know the PTOs that are running GA and VA. I dont think either of them has posted a date yet. In fact, I know the dates they are looking at and bc the venues have not been all secured, no announcement has been made. If would be better to NOT place a regional on a date w/o proof from the organizer or a sanctioning link. Just sayin.

I can't verify everything, but I try to the best of my ability. I can't remember where those two in particular were found. If I found it in 2-3 different places, I added it to the list.

In all reality, that post is obsolete anyway since LOLZ kinda took the list anyway.

Anyway.

Fixing list in other thread, I was misinformed

Also, I never listed GA anywhere to begin with...

I was just pointing out that I did know, but wasnt saying when they are set bc I am not the PTO in charge. I will let them do that. As you can see, Tymon/GLB has now posted GA for the Spring!

I have to drive 4-5 hours for Cities and some players are complaining about driving that for a Regionals :/
