Yea been seeing alot of opening videos at pre release and most everyone pulled one full art but, in a booster box opening they only got 3 Ex total

Why is there a ferroseed, but no ferrothorn?

Do you think evolved EX pokes will come out? Kind of like how there was a DP Rhyperior, but its Lv.X was in LA. However, there was no regular Rhyperior/Rhydon/Rhyhorn in LA.

I think they will. They're doing a new beginning set for the next Japanese set I believe, so we will be getting more of the original pokemon, most of which had good evolutionary lines.

I wouldn't be shocked for that set if our EX's ended up being Articuno EX, Moltres EX, Zapdos EX, Charizard EX, Dragonite EX (have to rep those dragon types), and Blastoise EX.

This is actually almost pseudo confirmed. There are pictures of the Garchomp/Hydreigon half decks, and the Hydreigon and Garchomp both look like they are EX's from the picture.
 
They do that in sets. They had Aron and Lairon in Undaunted with no Aggron and then they had Aggron with his evolutions in the next set.

Plus they actually gave us a Ferrathorn from Psycho Drive/Hail Blizzard in out BW1 set.

So this is our first set with Special Energy in it since the new RH style came out, does anybody know if they have something special as their background symbol? Do they maybe use the same symbol as Trainers or do they have no symbol at all?

Only seen them in a video that they didn't do a close up on.

They have a Colorless energy symbol with the RH style. The little energy symbols in the top right corner are RH. They look amazing, particularly the prism.
 
Ok so from what I understand, there are 2-3 Ex per box putting full art and non full art together, but how many Mewtwo Ex per box?

:lol: LOL, to be honest, that's like asking how many of anything is in a box. Since it's not a common/uncommon, there's a good chance that you may not get that particular card at all. At our particular prerelease there was one pulled out of about 4 boxes. That may be common to see ... or not. Some prereleases reported huge numbers of Mewtwo Ex. That may be due to larger attendance, or particularly lucky boxes. It's the luck of the draw.

I opened 2 boxes for personal use.....NO Mewtwo EX in either box...there is no guarantee you will get one in any box

1 Kyurem Ex
1 Reshiram Ex
9 holos - no repeats
24 rares - 4 doubles (Bronzong, Musharna, Simipour, Simisear)
27 non-reverse train/sup/stad (5 Cilan, 5 Exp Share, 3 Heavy Ball, 5 Level Ball, 4 Pokemon Center, 5 Skyarrow Bridge)
7 non-reverse energies (4 Double colorless, 3 Prism)
36 reverses - no doubles, but have some good lines and other cards such as:

Heavy Ball, Cilan, Prism Energy, Gardevoir line, Shiftry line, Zapdos/Articuno/Moltres, Arcanine, Luxray line, Cinccinno line

Overall I'm not disappointed in the box at all, though it would have been nice to scoop a Mewtwo Ex. However I'm sure it's the luck of the draw, and not all boxes are gonna be the same otherwise it wouldn't be as fun to collect.I hope the info is helpful to you.

I thought I'd share the information about our second box:

1 full art Regigigas Ex
1 regular Regigigas Ex
1 regular Mewtwo Ex Yes! We got one!
9 holos
24 rares
24 non-reverse train/sup/stad (exactly 4 of each)
10 non-reverse special energies (5 Double colorless, 5 Prism)
36 reverses (various) including:
Cilan, Heavy Ball, Level Ball, Pokemon Center, Skyarrow Bridge, Prism Energy, and Double Colorless Energy.

So 2 boxes gave us:

2 full art Regigigas Ex
1 Regigigas Ex
1 Mewtwo Ex
1 Kyurem Ex
1 Reshiram Ex
18 holos
48 rares
51 non reverse trainers
17 special energies
72 reverses.

Overall, with the info from just 2 boxes (yes, I realize that isn't really enough sample info to make a scientific determination, but here goes .... ) that tells me that on average a box will contain

1 full art ex (various)
2 regular ex
9 holos
23-24 rares
one full playset of each trainer/supporter/stadium (give or take)
a full playset of special energies (give or take)
36 reverses (various)
possibly a secret rare.

Given that I know there are some secret rares in the set, but I didn't see any pulled, I have no idea what card they take the place of, but I'm assuming it probably takes the place of a rare.

If anyone else has full info on set boxes, I'm sure everyone here will appreciate it.

Mine today-
4 Mewtwo in first 6 packs among 40 players (One belonged to my family....Finally.)

And the 5 others that made up the box around me, we got-
1 Kyurem
1 Mewtwo Reg
1 Mewtwo FA

I've noticed that the boxes with a particular FA have had that same EX as a regular version in the box.

This set is going to be a pain to collect. I'm trying to collect the set in both reverse and non reverse. I need 2 of every EX( I need 4 mewtwo ex full arts and 3 of the rest). I'll have to by at least 4 boxes of this set to get everything I need.

When I got my 2 boxes of TM, I left with 12 primes and 4 legends. That was good because I could trade for everything I needed from there but now with the BW-on pull rates. It's hard to do that. Sure it's understandable with the dragon and such. They are only 2 per box but even then, look at NV. There are a total of 5 FA's and a SR. I got a box and got a Victini and the Meowth. Keep in mind I need a set of each to complete my set. I still don't have the NV set complete because of the full arts.

They need to up the ratios on them. I mean, the next set HAS 6 Ex's AND a full art of each of them WITH like 4 shiny pokemon. Well maybe I'll have to buy like 8 boxes of the set...
 
i was at the Cedar grove prerelease today like GodBlessAmerica and saw so many Mewtwo so we may have just gotten soemme good boxes. a friend i was with managed to pull both a reg Mewtwo and a shiny Chandelure in his first 6 packs i was lucky enpugh to get a normal Resiram EX while those around me got none. at least 2 people got 2 mewtwos (heard one kid got one of each in his first packs and one guy got one in the first 6 then 1 in the bonus two)
as for box pulls the only thing that we were able to figure out from the draft i was in was the 2 norm EXs and 1 FA
in the draft we got
1 Kyurem EX
1 Reshiram EX
and 1 Shaymin EX FA (pulled by me :D)
so by those numbers and oberving the other drafts its seems to have a pretty solid ratio. i'm still debating buying a box though.
 
A case wont complete this set. And at $800+ (UK price) for a case I just can't see how that is going to retain customers.

We gave up on the reverses ages ago.
Time to give up on collecting alltogeter?
