OK, what is the over/under for the total number of Dark Amphy decks we will see in Chicago this weekend...

I personally predict we will have 40 players and 13 Dark Amphy decks...

I still don't know if the Whitewater crew will be able to make it, we go back to school this weekend. Will there be a side event? Also, don't forget that the Whitewater CC is coming up on the 23rd!

I hope you can make it. As far as a side event I don't think there will be time. We have to clear out of the store at 7:00. I know, that seems tight for time, but I run a smooth operation.
 
Let me know as soon as you know whether or not you and Matt are going. Then I'll try to get my dad to take me back to whitewater at like 7am so i can get moved in a little after the dorms open at 9 then possibly hitch a ride from you guys. Only way I'd be able to get there. Be a nice opportunity to meet a lot of the top players in the country, many of whom I've never met. FRLG prereleases were my first premiere events, just started playing again last May for the first time in a couple years.

How did you just start in may and are ranked 9th in the world for 15+?

Yeah I wish we could do a side event but I dont think that there will be time. Remember to buy LOTS from the store so the owner will be very anxious to have another one of these things...
 
Well were gettin' close. Just two more days, so I thought I'd repost the info. This will be one of your last chances to be in what I'm going to say will be one of the most copetitive CC's of the 04/05 season!

Directions: I-90 to Rt. 31 North to Rt. 14 west 1.6 miles. The store is on the right, behind IHOP.
For any one comming from WI it may be better to get to Rt. 31 from the north then take it to Rt. 14 and go west (depends on where your comming from) , but mostly if you take I-90 to Rt. 31 it'll be the quickest and easiest way.

Store opens at 10:00 AM, Registration starts at 11:00 AM, Tourney will start on time at 1:00 PM.

PUI's prize support for each division in the event is:

1st place: 18 Boosters
2nd place: 9 Boosters
3/4th place: 4 Boosters

+ I'm adding:
Everyone who plays gets 1 free booster
The more people who play the better the prizes

The rankings for this season didn't start until after worlds which was in August. So I've been playing this whole tourney season.

Hey Dave, do you want to run league play up until the tourney starts? I will be showing up at 11 and I'd be glad to do that if you gave me the stamper. Also (for the players) what kind of decklists will they be required to bring with?

I don't think that anyone from Rockford can drive yet or if they can they won't go. :redface:

Ya gotta remember Devin, Dustin and I, well, & 2 other of the younger ones, are the only ones from TIY who have ever traveled to a premiere event before. So it's all new to them. Most of them rely on their parents, who also aren't used to this, and so, are trying for States or the Challenge instead. I know the 3 of us would LOVE to come, but my hubby's not too hip on us traveling around. *secretly shakes fist at hubby, who's working on his comp on the other side of the room, oblivious to the vast importance and excitement of attending each and every Pokemon event within a 300 mile radius*

But we're working to get our players to be able to go to a lot more of the events. I just wish I could've had time to work with the parents and get them to caravan over to CL. I really would have loved to bring a ton of us down to your event! That would've been a blast! So sorry we'll miss it!
 
Sorry to hear your not gonna be able to come Pokemama & co.,​

Maybe some other time, I hope enough wisconsin players go to this event to bring enough of a challenge to the local players. Hey, maybe you would be interested in joining TM Wisconsin, just PM me for more info. until then.......​

Sure I'll be there at 10:00 myself. I'll have deck lists to fill out if need be otherwise anything that looks half way official will do.

I was sorta planning on going with David III, but my dad said no at the last minute. Gonna play a Scizor deck that looks like it has potential. Oh well

Not true. TIY had 7 people go to gym challenge in Niles last year. Ryan and David H. can both drive but are to stupid to even attempt driving to a differant city or state.
