Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Final Fantasy

What was so bad about FFX??? i mean it had to be somewhat good, because it was the first to ever spawn a sequal...but FFVII was the absolute best, who hasn't played it all the way through and said damn that was a good game...

Though my favorite was FF6, FF9 and FFT are close behind.

I must admit I truly did enjoy FFX. I really like the battle system, and the Sphere grid, I believe, is better than the level up system. Granted, I killed the final boss in FFX in 3 hits (WAKKA!), but the game kept me involved. I just wish the ending was a little better, and that you could change the music on Blitzball (I actually liked it, don't hurt me!)

Sure. Like 1980 whatever year the NES on came out, lol....

And there only coming out with FF12, not 13!!!! Unless you are counting something else, in which case its nearer to like 30+

And other than the fact both are RPGs , what does it have to do with Pokemon? Though I got a good laugh at Waka's Capture Ball in FFX

It came out in 1985.

FFII is my favorite. The remake is FFIV Advance.

Anybody actually play Chocobo Racing? Was it even worth playing...

And dont forget Squaresofts answer to Resident Evil... Parasite Eve. The first was really good. It was Res Evil with a level up system.. the second however...

Resident Evils 2 and 4 were my faves. THe others can't compare.

Never heard of Chocobo Racing, but White Chocobos can be a lifesaver in FFIV Advance.

1) Spawning a sequel doesn't mean that the original was any good, just that it was popular, and we can all agree, popular culture is a terrible indicator of what's of good quality and what isn't, and 2) FFIV has a lot of ties with FFII, not the least of which is that Kain in FFIV is pretty much the same Kain that was in FFII.

FFI, original NES version. First turn, have a Black Wizard (or whatever) cast Fast on a Master. Have the Master attack. Get a critical hit. Bam, 8000 damage. Chaos has 2000 HP. Easy FF final bosses are a hallmark of the series. The only one that was even remotely challenging was Zeromus from FFIV.

FFII is my favorite. The remake is FFIV Advance.

NO! NO! NO! FFII is and always was originally a NES game, the one with Frionel, Maria, Guy, and Leon, where you fought against the Emperor of Paramecia. FFIV is and always was originally a SNES game, the one with Cecil, Kain, Rosa, Rydia, and Edge, where you fought against the King of Baron and later Golbez and Zemus/Zeromus. The fact that they recently rereleased FFII on GBA should mean people would stop with calling FFIV "FFII".

Everyone is intitled to their opinion dude, and FF7 really went off in a different direction... it brought in technology mixed with magic. Most people just want an epic compaign set in the past, which FF7 clearly was not. I for one really enjoyed it, and its my fave in the series, but I'll always remember the good old days of the original on NES......

Yes i know

Thats why I made this thread. But Final Fantasy is Good for all systems (my opinion) all of them newer and older are both good.

This and this show that really, there's no shortage of people with a shred of intelligence out there (along with Musashi, Richard Bartle, etc), just that, you know, they don't get to make the games, because nowadays the games industry is a piece of **** that only cares about making money as opposed to making games.

I'm not 100% sure that Chocobo racing ever came out here. It was basically FF's knock off to Mario Cart, but it used those sweet umd Mem cards that we never got here so you could raise your Chocobo on the go...

I wasnt really reffering to the Resident Evil series (which is prolly my fave series), I was reffering to the knock off game Parasite Eve, which was actually a pretty kewl game. While 4 & 2 are the best, I really enjoyed Code Veronica as well (even if the main villian was a cross dresser).

The thing that made me bring up Parasite Eve was I remembered the Chocobo flag, on the Museum I believe.

not if it isn't in english... the whole language barrier, and all...

Language is overrated. I played through all of FF5 in Japanese without understanding a single word of it. Then I went and downloaded a translation patch, replayed it, and found out that... I didn't miss much.

I could never bring myself to play the "official" translation of it though. There is no bleepin' excuse for translating "Mahou Kenshi" (ony of my favourite FF classes ever) as "Sorcerer" or "Sarisa" as "Salsa", among many other mistranslations.

true, some of the translations are terrible, but i at least like to know what is going on. wandering aimlessly and not knowing what is required to advance frustrates the hell out of me.

Of all the Final Fantasy I deinatly say 7 is the best. For its time the graphics are amazing, the storyline is better that most games now adays. play is awsome with a unquie battle style (Materia, Limit Breaks Ect) The Story though still is what sticks out to me most it left you satisfied yet wondering how it all happened and what will happen next.
This brings me to Final Fantasy Advent Children. This movie is the sequel to the amazing game. I have one question has anyone seen it???

I don't know much japanese but "Mahou Kenshin" means something like Magic Swordsman (or more literally Magic Sword-Heart?), yeah? If thats the case, Mage Knight or something of the like would have probably been close enough, but Sorcerer? oO Thats just way off. Sometimes I wonder about translators...

Someone set us up the bomb!
