Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Georgia Marathon.......

i heard that a Florida player (no names) got called out by Craig Abley and looked like a little girl!!! cough* John Silvestro*cough

Methinks it was the GA player called out for poor language and gestures. Silvestro takes NADDA from no one.

On a serious side though, we had a blast for 2 days in GA. I finally get to play an event for the 1st time in 2 yrs. 3-2 and 2-2 (drop) to drive home today. I'll take a winning record home any day!

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Great job Grafton!

Great to see another "power junior" doing well in Seniors!

3 Medals...keep it going!

Vince

(Jealously keeps watching all the Pokemon in Georgia...Jealously)

Hope to see you all at NATS!

I know one SR that now owns 2 W's ag'st the number one SR in the World......my Alex. WTG son! He got Grafton in Swiss both days. Grafton got the revenge in the t2 yesterday and today, G dropped after the 2nd rd and Alex misplayed in rd 3 to drop his only game and miss top cut. He got 3rd. 14 packs, 3 Xs and 2 secret rares.....we will take that!

I want to thank Gary (Granddaddy) and Greg Wyman for 2 fun events and for setting this up for GA. Huge PROPS to them both! They are the major reasons for the growth in GA.

It was good to see you Gary- now take care of you!

Stalling comment?

I'm 2/2 on top cutting at these CCs now, and just need to not get so unlucky to perform much better. Maybe you could have looked over at Paarth's gameS versus me where I had no hand for turn after turn after turn after turn. I turned a very bad matchup for me into a 2-2 with very close games and losses I think might have been different if I didn't draw so dead.

I don't really care. These are cities. Cities with decks like Kingdra, Sableye+X, Machamp, etc. Just absurd.

I wasnt even talking about you,I was talking about my game. A win is a win tho. I lost and had to suck it up on time so you gotta suck it up too.

PS.we were supposed to get a extention but didnt til afterwards when it was too late.

Does it...LOL. Not bad for not playing in an event in 2 years. I went 6-5 (3-2, 3-3) after the same thing.

Greg and Gary definitely deserve kudos for growing the game in GA. I remember the days of 20-25 players max per CC. Great job guys and have a great New Years!!!

fragnito, you should really try to get your facts right.

Craig told me to f-off during announcements and showed terrible sotg. Nice for a professor and a t.o.
HE was the one "called out".

Btw, if it wasn't at a Pokemon event, he would have no front teeth today. You see, unlike his kids, I
hit back.

What i saw at the library made me sick! Child abuse ftl!!

We are back home and had a great time.Except for the $198.00 high speed driving
certificate a cpl. Brown gave me Tuesday night in Monroe County. Speed traps on the
interstate at midnight by county mounties are a joke!! They should find a better way to generate
revenue up there.

On a positive note, a special shout out to Greg and Gary for all the hard
work and effort that went into this year's marathon. You guys rock!

Peter, sorry how your day ended Tuesday, but you were by NO means stalled out. Sucks losing
on time, but it does happen. I appreciate your apology, but next time please try to take the high
road and not accuse a player of stalling when she CLEARLY was not. Thanks, and good playing
yesterday. And congrats. to Paarth for winning Tuesday. Way to represent.
You played great.

Btw, where on earth
did you come up w/ the idea of putting 4 sprites in your gigas list?? ;)

Also, it was great to hang out w/ 2 of my best friends for a couple days. But I'm too damn old
for the hangover I had to deal with Tuesday lol

Again, great job Greg, Gary and all who made this possible. Already looking forward to next years
Georgia marathon!

I played Paarth on Tues. His Gigas list is very nice. A few wrinkles in it that I may incorporate myself!

We had a great time.

@ John: I knew you would drive the tires off that rental! Slow it down paison! Always a good time with you. Enjoyed seeing the Rolls again and Cody is a nice young man too. I was listening to my XM radio on the way to the hotel Monday night (80s station LOL) and a song came on from my senior yr in HS. I looked at Cody and asked him if he knew the song. He said yeah, but he wasnt born yet! LAWZ.

I liked Ryan's deck too. Playing him both days was fun. Ryan plays like me, a big thinker plotting out moves 3 turns in advance, doing the math in his head along the way. I'll take a 1-1 ag'st him.

Yeah Keith. Dinner Saturday night was amazing, don't you think? The russians weren't too bad
either lol

But Mr. RPS himself was almost mortal this weekend. What's up with that??

See you soon Paison. And as for the tickets, it's almost becoming a joke. Seriously. It's midnight,I'm
300 plus miles from home and this trying to kick out some miles( it's already an all nighter).Do I
get a break? Nope, Mr " your from Florida and wont be back" goes for the full monty. Then he gets all
uppity on me and starts the "lecture". 23 years since my last accident. Spare me.

Besides,I mean 89 is NOT that fast is it ;)

He should have been a mile back- 89 would have
seemed slow :)

Just made it home guys......no speeding ticket for me!!! Five days of fun and to think we are missing five more of them. I highly recommend the rest of the country heading down next year. What a blast!! Want to address a couple of issues but Grafton is ready to fire off the goods bought on the border and is chomping at the bit!

Gary- Keep the reports coming and great job. Thanks again for the hospitality.

John- See you this weekend with a new deck.....no more Turn 1 Kingdra worries...LOL.

Keith- Good to see you more than twice a year.....lets keep up the tradition.

To all the GA players that stopped me to say Hi......Look forward to seeing you next year and consider coming to our State tourney the week before yours. It is going to be a good one on the beach!!!

:biggrin:Talk about Breaking Records in GEORGIA....Greg Wyman Did it AGAIN Today.......!!!
About 8 or 10 of the Florida Players had to go home last night...But they left about 6 of those
Hetherns that are going all the Way......Greg Still had 84 Players in Lawrenceville....Yes, 84....
Awesome Job Greg...:thumb: Tomorrow We take over McDonalds in Marietta where Greg
runs a league...They only can seat 100...We may have to play on the floor...!!! Then some
Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga and other Tennessee players will meet us in Alabama for
Friday and Saturday.....EveryOne is having Pokemon Battles and having a Blast...:thumb::cool:
More later with a list of the winners....

hey ryanvergel i love how i can say somebody was portrayed as a girl and i get an infraction and my post deleted
the sniper talks about punching somebody's face and knocking out their teeth and because he too is from florida, he gets no infraction, nor is his post deleted
impartial judging...

Although this is off topic, Ryan is not a Mod in this forum. He is in the deck help area (if I recall). Unless your note w/ the infraction had his name on it, I doubt he was the one to give it. He would not protect a fellow floridian either. If an infraction is warranted, he would give one. Dont down grade someone you may not know very well. (I dont know him well either, but I know him and he is fair)

OT: Glad to hear the numbers keep getting bigger and bigger! This is a fun set of events that other areas of the country could try to Ditto!

Keith

I mod the RTC, gossip area, front page area, deck help area. I mod pretty much everywhere but the trades and the tourney area (this area), but if an infraction was given I' sure it was warranted.

If someone has a problem with policy, go to the appropriate forum to vent or talk to admins. You shouldn't spam up a thread about something completely different. I can't read every post. I read your posts specifically because you were trash talking earlier, so I paid attention to your posts and saw a rules violation. If you feel someone else made a rules violation, then report it. I've been with about 10 minutes of internet access for the past four days, so I haven't exactly read everything. Stop trying to make people look bad because you deserved the infraction you got. If you think that other people deserve infractions, then report it. Don't complain because I caught you and didn't catch anyone else.

What you're doing, fragnito, is just really immature. Be a man and stop trying to bring up off-topic materials in the wrong forums. =\

fragnitos infraction did come from ryanvergel but im just glad that everyone had such a great time in georgia cities
we are already working on decks for states and very excited about all the great competition florida brings
today, however, fragnito and zach hale came and they are both very smart and talented players
fragnito may say some dumb things but he is the most innovative intense and intelligent players
he is also 6'3" and 185 lbs, and plays on the UGA badminton team
