Magnezone Regirock

I have never used or tried the magnetic search one because you got two turns to get the next magnezone running. Magnetic draw is enogh and it is the original list posted. I have tried with some other trainers before I got a battle with it but the magnezones are just the same. You want at least 3 in your deck because it is your main attacker, and sometimes you want more than that so adding a palmer is a good thing. Like written this deck comes up turn 3 and the rest of the magnezones is just coming, and give more magnetic draw. Kinda like the metanite deck :)

lv x could be added(not that I want it on tech list) just to remove weakness.

No engineer's adjustment is defeating the purpose...everyone's reaction to this deck seems to be "lol you do not need engineer's", but it makes this deck work.

I do play expert belt. Something about vilegar just sets up at the exact same speed...it is a little weird. I decided it basically comes down to if they get gengar lv x with a rescue energy or not as long as you can drop skuntank g. Also what they get time to kill can matter big time (magnezone sf, regirock, skuntank...).

Yes have metioned the lv up thing in gengar section. Remember that shunyshore somtimes slow gengar down because they can´t evolve and don´t drop skuntank before it should be used.

Dude, I was testing this list and I got three magnezone prime out turn three against luxchomp. It was freakin insane :DD

Interesting list and nice article, Good job :D

Having played Magnezone for a while now, I was very happy to see you have success with a deck built around it. Your build varied greatly from what I was used to using, based on the reports about it I read. I went about building it myself before I found your original posted list (thanks for re-posting it by the way) and must say I was very impressed with it. The ERL combined with all of your own power using Pokemon concerned me though, so I removed it to start off. I replaced it with Palmer's and Expert Belt as I knew both of those were very helpful in your tough match-ups like LuxChomp.

I'm currently trying to find a good dedicated LuxChomp counter for the deck. Donphan, Machamp, and Gliscor are all options but I'm sure there are others I haven't considered yet. My current build is with a 2-2 Donphan line and Stark Mountain to get a fully powered one up in two turns. I've also increased the Expert Belt count up to two, but I may reduce it back down again if I find I need the room for something more important.

In my testing I have found a 3/3 split of Engineer's and Judge is worth the risk of not getting a fighting into the discard early on. I'll keep messing with this concept as I like the feel of it. I do miss Manectric, Blissey, and Magnezone X in my other build as well as Ditto and Rainbow Energy for Gengar, but I like the more aggressive stance this Zone deck takes.

I'm still on the fence with ERL. I can see both sides of the argument, where it comes in handy, where it's a dead draw. Plus, it IS inconsistent by nature. If I get my hands on one, I'll probably play it, for now I'm just going to try to build the deck in time for States. I've got most of the staples it calls for, so it shouldn't be too bad.

I find sometimes difficult to keep energy flow using Engineer's Adjustment's as the only discarding option.
Regice could be an interesting option to discard energies without taking the Supporter spot for the turn? What do you think about it ?

When you start with Tomb, put a fighting energy on him. If he dies or retreats you get a fighting energy in the discard. If you get an engineers you can toss another fighting in the discard. You can't have too much fighting in the discard.

Don't forget that if you can't get to an Unown Q, all you have to do is attach retreat from your first Spiritomb to start up the decks engine.

Snap, its still early, I'm not even looking at the people above.. XD

The spitiromb with fighting can be used sometimes, but try to keep discarding fighting with regirock. That helps alot.

I am playing this deck in up coming provs and its SOOOO AWESOME!! This deck cycles through so quickly! Its so much fun to play!

question, why did you opt to run a 2/2 split of bebes/communication? i know it doesn't matter much but i am just interested as to where other people stand on the topic.

Bebe + Comm = both ERL pieces in 1 turn.
Drop it down, get it active, power it up with Superconnectivity, and Thunderfall all in one turn out of nowhere optimally.

Without ERL in here you can probably swap 1 Comm for a Palmer's, an Expert Belt, or any number of other things.

I'm currently trying to jam a 1-1 Blissey in here to help with the discard along with situational healing.
