Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Mew is coming!

Man seems like eery one had long lines mabey it was cuz we went around the last hour but we where out of there in 20 min.

Yes, the lines were way too long at the TRU but I said to the employee doing the trades, "gee this is so popular you should do this more often. " He agreed. At least our TRU added a second gameboy from an employee at 1:00 to speed things up. I don't know what the long hold up was but we waited close to 2 hours in that line. It took me less than a minute to get a Mew (jolly). My son got a timid Mew and thanks to CybermanetricEx we got a third. ( I bought him lunch as a partial payment! but mabye I still owe him big time. ;-) )In line I talked to a kid behind me who used to play the card game and I think I have his parents wanting to come to the next pre-release and join the local league.

Have a good day!

the line was insane, the guy was allowing us to bring as many cartridges as you want up, once per person, though, team rocket got up there with about 15 cartridges, and after about 3, some guy threw a huge fit cuz the other guy in line getting mew's was feeding them back to his kids where they'd take the mew out of the game and slip it back to him so he basically had some mysterious endless supply of games even though in reality it was the same games over and over. the lady running the store told the guy trading mews to only give one per person, so the presense of 5 team rocket members walked out with a low number of 6 mew, pretty awful.

CyberManectricEX, get me one of those shiny mew's and you'll be considered a team rocket member for the rest of time

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Also, I hope you guys who are cloning mews are aware of the following two things:

1) Cloning is bad for your game and does count as cheating, I know of a few people who were kicked out of the nationals tournament earlier this year because of cloning; it's detectable by nintendo events and will probably be detectable in online trades for D/P.

2) Cloning ruins the "spirit of the game" if you will, and also ruins any trade value of anything in the game, thus making the game pointless to play, especially online with D/P. Its like the TCG, imagine if every card was common and everyone had all the super rare cards, it'd make trading impossible and pointless, and all around owning anything rare would be pointless. I'm not even all that excited about having a mew, celebi, or deoxys anymore because everyone has them due to cloning. Mine are worth nothing anymore. So, even if you think you're doing the right thing by helping everyone get a mew ,it's ruining the game.

Its bad if you don't know how to do it correctly, so having 4 kyogres ALL the same is stupid cause THAT is impossible and detectable, but if by the time of a tournament you just delete all but 1 it is not detectable. The fact that it is a glitch makes it that is not detectable unless you have multiple exact copies of one off Pokemon that are caught in your game.

That is how I have so many shinies, asked them borrowed, then cloned, NOT using AR like you implied I had used but meh that has nothing to do with this.

Just don't have 2 exact Kyogre's (or any one off Pokemon caught in your game pak).

I think I liked it better when people would shut up about the really nice bugs, such that only the people who deserve to know about them (i.e. could do them and not get caught) knew about them, and the anti-cheating yahoos who don't think about what's going on internally could just point vague fingers without knowing how people are being caught, or why.

This isn't a flame, I'm just pointing out that it's gotten to the point where it's the primary responsibility of rational players to point out that cheating isn't as "touch it once and you're dead" as the proverbial word on the street makes it sound.

Anyone want to trade me a cloned Mew in...about 5 months or so?

Didn't [R]visitor just point out that cloning is over rated? Oh well. With the Mew clones running all over the place, what's the fun in having one if every single pokeplayer has one. :frown:

Despite all the hacking that can be used to replicate one quite easily, nothing replaces the pride of knowing that the YOSHIC-original-trainer Mew in my Silver version was originally downloaded (albeit originally to Blue and then traded up) by a Nintendo rep.

Hacking or cloning one is good for if you want to stealthily lie "yes, I got it officially" to a Nintendo rep at a JAA, not if you want the satisfaction of having a legitimate Mew.

I ask that you remember where you are. *smirk*

Also, I certainly hope Mew will be allowed in the prerelease GBA side events. I have MANY ideas for various Mewtards.

No, but he is pretty damn powerful with the right moveset... although I'm probably remembering my glory days in RBYGSC of Swordsdance/Bodyslam/Earthquake/Softboiled over how good he is or isn't now, but still... Mew sure isn't weak.
