I had to wait for 2 hours but ended up getting 5 mew and trading for 3 shiny pokemon.

Lets just say that the "Toys R Us experience" was lackluster and NOT PWNAGE!

My experience was not that bad, 1hr wait in line, 5 minutes to get the legendary Mew. It's all good.

For all of you who got multiple Mews, I hate you. That is why this event took so long. That's why I couldn't get a Mew. Thanks guys. because you guys had to have 2 or 3 Mews, I get left with none >.>

I got mine, after waiting an hour...I saw 2 kids who didn't, but that was their own fault. One was playing Emerald and hadn't beaten the Elite 4 yet. His mom was furious but I said that the info had been posted for a couple weeks, more then enough time to get access to the National Dex. The other kid was 3 spots ahead of me, and the guy doing the trade was having troubles figuring out what was wrong. The kid had gotten into the Hall of Fame, but couldn't get Mew to trade. I looked at his Pokedex, and it was blank...clear sign of Action Replay or something else. I asked him if he used Gameshark or AR, and he said AR. I told him and the guy doing the trades that his game was messed up and that kid left with nothing. I didn't really see any problem with the process, just those 2 kids (and parents whining about how it wasn't fair).

Waited for 4 hours, yep 4. My local TRU had 1 person (one of my League members) doing this. At 2pm they said hat they would not cut off at 3pm, but go until they were out of Mews.
Props for that. They did one per person (thanks to dad), with the employee running two gameboys (one of them was the Pika Gameboy).
Really well run. Wal-Mart should take a lesson here.

At our Toys R Us there were 7 kids who werent able to get the mews due to not having the National Dex...So what did I do, I cloned mine 7 times and traded the Mews to those kids through various means so that they would not leave empty handed....I made those kids extremely happy and their parents as well. Whats better is that I was there to help them...I even made friends with 2 of the parents and will continue to help their children with anything Pokemon related...
Not offering to help someone when you can is just plain selfish...I know from persoanl experience that when a child really wants something an is not able to get it due to limitations that they didnt know of, it really crushes their spirits.
What do I get in return for doing these kind deeds? Only the satisfaction that I was able to help...And you know what, thst good enough for me, because Karma will be brought back upon me ten fold...
Side Note: I was able to trade others for 4 shineys (Slugma, Zangoose, NidoKing, & Solrock). For a total of 18 Shinys. YaY!

Alright, here's how my perfect day went:
I get up around nine and take my shower. While I'm in my buddy Eric calls. I call him back and he asks if I want to go with him to TRu for the Mews. After an agreement with my mom that I would get a haircut as well, I go to bowling, meet up with Eric, play three games(and work on my dex wiht the LG he lent me)and we boot out. After a quick stop at his place., we go to TRU to find a line extending through a cash register to wait in. While there, I trade my slowpoke, battle with bret(who completely throttled me with his mewtwo, Bret I will have my revenge!) and others over the course of about an hour and a half.finally we get to the counter and both get mews, and my buddy gets peeved that he has to get back in line for another. after one more battle, we head off to the mall, where we visit EB and gamestop(and I get shaved). Afterwards we have lunch at wndys, visit gamestop one last time. So we go back to his place(where I am now writing this)to have a good time. All in all, it was *******' AWESOME! My buddy thinks they might give out some Deoxys soon ,so we're keepin' our peeps open in PA!
