Mew is coming!

Gardevoir88 said:
well its a good thing i work at toys r us because i can get it anytime during the week ^_^

Gardevoir88: Can you use your Toys R Us knowledge and tell us which stores will have the Mew download? I visited our local one and they are in the dark, but a manager says a Nintendo rep will probably drop off a cartridge with the Mew. Again, he doesn't know if his store is one of those. I wrote to Toys R Us headquarters and they say to contact the local store. Corporate doesn't know anything either.

i have spoken to all the local toys'r'us and they dont know anything but what i told them.

they said that if worse comes to worse, i can set up a league table and give out stuff.

as for downloading, it is going to HAVE to be a person to person (aka link cable), and me and all the utah pokemon profs. are voluntiering our time for it.

Visit any Toys "R" Us on September 30th from noon to 3pm to receive the Mysterious Mew!

Want to add Mew* to your Pokémon collection? Visit any Toys "R" Us on September 30th from noon to 3pm and Mew can be yours! Be sure to follow these instructions to make sure that you can get your Mew.

*While supplies last.

What you need to do to get Mew:

Be sure to bring in your Nintendo Game Boy Advance and/or Game Boy Advance SP and any ONE of the following Pokémon GBA game paks:

•Pokémon Ruby

•Pokémon Sapphire

•Pokémon FireRed

•Pokémon LeafGreen

•Pokémon Emerald**

Mew will be traded into your Pokémon game pak using the Game Boy Advance link cable (provided at Toys R Us).

Before arriving at the event, please make sure the Pokémon game you are using meets the requirements listed below:

Mew will be traded to you for a Pokémon you already have in your party. Therefore, please make sure you have a Pokémon in your party that you are willing to trade. Any Pokémon will do-it does not need to be a special one.

Please make sure to save your game while you are on the second floor of a Pokémon Center in the game—this will speed up the process of trading Mew.

**Pokémon Emerald: -IMPORTANT- If you have Pokémon Emerald, you must have obtained the National Pokédex by beating the game (defeating the Elite Four and being entered in to the Hall of Fame). If you have not gotten to this point in Emerald, you cannot get Mew for your Emerald game pak. Also, you need to have an extra Pokémon in your party that you are willing to trade.

Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire and Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen: You must have the Pokédex and have an extra Pokémon in your party that you are willing to trade.

Pound and Transform? What happened to the Mews with the attack lists that were listed on Pokebeach? You know, the ones with Earthquake and Explosion.

Twinkle, where do you get your info from?

Based on what's everyone is posting and from what I've heard, I've edited my first post and summed up what we need to do to get the coveted Mews.

As I said before, a reliable resource. I can't say who cause it would get someone in trouble. You will believe me once Mew comes out. The person is very reliable. You can't trust the internet because people make up stuff on the way. You will see once Mew is released. Then in the future you will believe what I say :)

Thanks for the info guys!

I can't wait!

It'll be a MAJOR disappointment if the TRU near me doesn't have it.

While supplies last?!?!?!?!

WTF!!!

That's unfortunate.

It said you'd have to trade, so I'm guessing that they'll have a game pak with a bunch of Mews in it, instead of having a contraption plugged into a GBA that'll download the Pokemon into an open spot in your party.
