Also, I'm begining to get worried about the Charger's chances...Rivers is still not looking good after he essentially tripped over himself and sprained something vs Indy, and the cheaters (Patriots) are still all in good health...
 
I'm not even going to debate why the pats aren't cheaters. Yes, they stole sideline signals for 1 quarter of week one on flim. Did they get the chance to use it? No. Have they cheated since? No. It amazes me how other people are dumb enough to bet against the pats. On paper we are the best team in football. During the game we are the best team in football. So unless we have a horrible game plan and don't execute (both unlikely) and the chargers play thier butts off and outplay us (they will try but won't succeed) and the refs make horrible calls (guarenteed, since its been happening for years against the pats), how can you say the pats will lose?
 
PenguinMaster- If u wanna talk about what seperates a good team from a bad team the colts last year in the afc championship game did the greatest comeback in NFC history! If your gonna say that indy isnt a good team then idk what football ur watching.

In football it is very hard to get outplayed. Calling a wrong defensive play isnt being outplayed. For example any team against the chargers goes in a nickel aka 3 in the front, 2-2 on the right+ left side 1 in the middle and 3 in the back. With you running the ball up the middle you will probably pick up a 5+ yard gain out of that play and with a good block for a hole into the defense can lead into 7-15 more yards usually. As good as a player is it has over 60% to do with good plays. The right defensive + Offensive formation.

Now when I said the colts faced the chargers their motto was the chargers have an extremly good 3-4 defense and usually have 1-2 guys in the middle with 0-1 on the inside slots (left, right). Now u dont blitz them they find enough time to throw a good pass. If u do blitz them u throw short for a rly good gain. In football u have good games and u have bad games. The only way your outplayed is for the whole game or at least 1-2 quarters you cant get anything going on ur offense/defense. That didnt happen in the chargers vs. indy game.

There is no way to be perfect in football. Idc the pats are 17-0 there not perfect. Yes they do have a superbowl team but so do the chargers. The chargers have a rly decent chance of beating them but i heard today rivers didnt even practice. So hopefully they get him back becuz they need him more then volek to pull off this upset.

Papimanny- Brady might throw a pick. I think against the chargers he gonna have to step up alot. The chargers D-line imo is one the hardest the pats will ever face. Idk but i think luis castillo is gonna open this game up. Hes an amazing DE. This should be a rly good game though. The chargers got the tools to pull of the upset so this week should be wicked good.

See: Tuck Rule Game. The reason the Pats are even on this so called dynasty is because of a stupid call FOR them. The Pats are only 17-0 this season because of horrible calls against the Ravens.

The Chargers are on the receiving end of bad calls much more than the Pats. Just look at the Indy game, Phantom hold on weddle brings back a pick six, and a HORRIBLE pass interference call goes for 25 yerds on hart. Chargers beat Indy AND the refs in that game.

Thats the leagues fault for making the ruling, not the refees. And obviously you haven't watched a pats game between 200r-2008 (even though last weeks game wasn't bad).

Let's face facts, people. They're on a 22-1 streak; going back to last season. And they're doing things on the field that are simply ridiculous (26 of 28 (25 of 27 to players not named Randy Moss)).

Oh, and they have homefield advantage.



What chance do you think the charges have?
 
Rivers looks really tight in the pregame warm up. Doesn't look good. He will start but he won't finish. Will the second string step up and be a hero? Packers and Pats can start booking the tickets.

No joke, the Ravens had them several times, but the unluckiest things you could posibly imagin helped the pats to win. Heck they where 3 stinking yards away from winning, and if it hadn't been for the stupid wind they WOULD have won.

The pats arn't as good as everyone seems to think, they have just had some lucky breaks.
 
You can't be good if you aren't also lucky. You can be lucky without being good. But, you can't be good without at least some semblance of luck going your way.

retarded...the refs were so blind, at least 3 holdings and a face mask, and they didnt call it...

meh the chargers offense didnt pull through after the turnovers...theres always next year
 
The Pats have already made history, 18-0. They're so good, Tom Brady throws 3 interceptions and we still win the game easily. Our defense kept the Chargers to scoring only a few field goals. Would love to see a Pats-Packers rematch, now that we have a great quarterback instead of dopey Bledsoe.
 
Well, I am going to the Super Bowl. My Step-Mom is a huge Giants Fan (I am a Jets Fan) so my dad said if the Giants make it we would all be going so, that should be lots of fun. I am rooting for the Giants as I just dont like the Pats. (Which is obv. since I am a Jets Fan.) I am really excited about it.

Anyways, I think that it really will be a close game as both teams are playing well.
