Pats Giants. Neutral field, good weather.
Pats all the way.
High powered passing offenses LOVE warm weather, and the Pats are the best passing offense the league has probably ever seen, even the Greatest Show Rams and Peyton's 04 Colts. The Pats have 3 wideouts of Probowl calibur (Moss, Welker, Stallworth), an above average blocking RB (Maroney), and a very good TE (Watson), as well as one of the top 2 offensive lines in the league (close with Minnesota), and the BEST QB in the League this year. There are simply too many weapons in the Patriots arsenal for the Giants to effectively cover. If they go after Brady, he'll dump off to Maroney all day. Tee off on Moss, he'll go to Welker, Gaffney, and Stallworth. Stop the run, Moss will go off. There is too much there for the Giants defense to handle consistently.
On the other side of the ball, you have Eli Manning, who I'll admit has come a LONG way this year. I'm still not convinced that he's a Tier 1 QB (like his brother and Brady), but I'll gladly put him at Tier 2 at the moment (Favre-area). Plax is a good wideout, but he's probably only about as good as Stallworth. They have one of the best running games in the League this year with the Football Frankenstein and his backups, but the Pats have shown remarkable resolve inside the 20s this postseason. If the Giants decide to go predominately run, they will not score TDs. The reason? If you run, you don't have as good of a chance of getting those nice 20+ yard gains. You need those in order to beat the Pats. If they ever get inside the 20, they won't score a TD, but be limited to FGs.
My prediction? 37-24 Pats.
