That's awesome that you can play it in the browser. That opens up a ton of possibilities for it to be played on most computers. Also, it means the game doesn't have to be downloaded and installed, meaning that it could be played in the library or on a friend's computer without having to mess with files.
Okay, I've chosen my deck and coin, it's all being running smoothly. Now, it's stalled. Is there no "Loading" sign, to at least show me the game is loading something?
Good choice in first opponent deck type, neutral to all 3 starting choices.
How to play the TCG?
Questions I'm asking that I didn't see discussed.
I need to attach energy to attack, but how many energy can I attach in one turn?
Back-up Pokemon on the bench? Can I put any pokemon down as a back-up pokemon? (lets see this changed from back-up to basic)
Win conditions: Is decking the opponent not an option? It certainally isn't addressed.
Yay, finally playing.
The drawing card animation is a bit slow, when it is multiplied for 6-7 cards. This animation cannot be sped up, or it will be weird and perhaps unnerving, but perhaps it can be replaced with an animation where the entire hand it placed on top of the deck, and the deck is then shuffled, and then cards are drawn (for the cases where someone is shuffling in their entire hand).
Choose your active pokemon. Okay, I have two options. When I hover over them, an eye icon appears underneith them. Okay, I can click on the eye to get a larger view of the card. Hmm, when I hover off the card, going for the eye, the eye disappears. Maybe it means I have to click on the card to get the zoomed in look. Oops, just selected my active pokemon. DANGIT.
The eye stayed in place this time. Click on the eye to zoom, got it.
Animation for prizes was quick, which kind of startled me, but was effective, better than the drawing of a new hand (or shuffling of hand) animation.
Choose heads or tails...but don't click on the image of heads or tails, click on the buttons heads or tails that are hidden in the bottom left corner away from the image of the coin...
Perhaps we should be able to click on the side of the coin we want.
Nice coin animation. No need to argue about # of flips in the air, right,
Now I find out that I can only attach one energy per turn.
So, clicking on an energy, the game already knows that I want to attach it to one of my pokemon. That's a bit unnerving, but makes sense.
I can undo my last action...nice!
The board/playing area is just freakin' beautiful. Amazing looking, actually.
Play trainer cards? Where is the option for playing supporter or stadium cards? Or are we back to Trainer = Supporter, Trainer, Stadium mess that we've flipped flopped back and forth from in the past years?
For a new player, they see Supporter written twice on the card. Nowhere does it say TRAINER on it. Why can I play a supporter when I click on the 'Play a trainer' option?
Let's attack! (WAIT)..............what is going on? Did it crash..........
Holy crap my opponent took their turn quick. Now it's my turn again?
NICE evolution animation!
Attacking this time didn't take any time at all.
Yay, I knocked out my opponent's two pokemon.
The music is back...
Oooh, I got a kingdra! Perfect for my Croconaw/Seadra deck!
I like the statistics.
The deck automatically removed an energy to put in the Kingdra -- effective but I wish I had control. I wish it would have told me the changes to the deck that were made when I got the extra cards. I had to look at my deck to find out. Some people may never look at their deck, but will have to, once they see changes in their games.
Let's look at the avatar creator. I want to look different than just a silhouette.
100%..........................................................
Still loading at 100%......wow.
Lunch break!
Uhhh.....
Okay, back to the trainer challenge, because that just isn't loading.
This one seems stuck at 99%.
Can I play something, please?
Okay, I think that is enough waiting for today.
Good looking beta, hope to play more of it soon.
