Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokemon lv. X Revealed! A Preview of Upcoming Rule Changes in the Diamond Pearl set!

I can still pull off the "T1-nasty-stage-2" trick if I went second. So you're not entirely out of the woods yet, sceppy.

Having both Basic and "standard" Dark and Metal energies is going to be interesting. If anything, it's going to make Tyranicargo a beast of a deck - with or without Ho-oh ex. It also makes Dark Metal Energy practically obsolete.

I still think its better to go first. I wouldnt mind if another restriction was put on the player going first.

I wonder if he still stands behind this?

I wish they would make going 1st or 2nd a choice again so I could get going 2nd 90% of the time again.

I would go 100% of the time second as it looks now with this new rules.

Curse of the First is getting a new dimension.

lol I actually remember saying that.

Yes I still stand behind it and now it's even better to go first =D
Not only can you evolve first, play the first energy, but now you can draw a card. Most people don't play nonsupporter trainers on turn 1 anyway unless they lucsacked a basic/rare candy/stage 2 in their opening hand.

which means you cant evolve, did you not look into the rules,
NO TRAINERS FIRST TURN OF GAME = NO RARE CANDY!!

Is anyone noticing the lack of education these cards bring? Instead of having to double numbers (And therfore multipliying) You just "Add 10" or whatever the number is. Instead of putting multiple damage counters and learn adding, there's just one big "50" damage counter.

Ummm ok I guess I have to explain it. Let's say you go first, you do your stuff, now your turn is over. Your opponent takes his turn, does his stuff, his turn is over. Now it's your second turn, and now you can evolve first, before your opponent. You dont need a rare candy to evolve your Pokemon.

nope you cant
you wouldnt be able to use rare candy
;P
You can use rare candy if you go 2nd.

Yes, but I think there are to many cards for player 2 which can KO you so easily. (Exploud ex anybody?)
Player 2 can use rare candy/DRE/ Boost/ Supporters/trainers.

I would opt in for going second and will play at least 12 basic pokemon with my luck.
But with the change of weakness being -20 or -30 and no double count, it's harder to KO any "newer" pokemon

hey that's a good point. I wonder if TPC put that rule into place because of the shedinja that caused a 3 AM grinder.

So a few horses' arses make a mockery of the game Shed-stalling, and they decide to completely kill the fossil pokémon? They couldn't just ban Shedinja?

I just now noticed something about the Lv.X pokemon.

The only one shown so far - the pokemon's leg extends over the image border, something previously reserved for Shining pokemon.
