CHapter 9 & 10
Like last time, minor characters won't have a colored script and some character will share colors.

Over at Team Chaos HQ, Skyler arrives after his ice cold defeat from Chase. He wanted to return to HQanother person to make a member of Team Chaos, but instead, he came back to HQ with a cold.
Skyler: “Ah-choo! I’m back. Shade? Jason? Gwen?” The HQ is practically quiet. Soon, Jason appears.
Jason: “Skyler, I can’t believe you lost like that.”
Skyler: “Uh… Jason, where’s Gwen and Shade?”
Jason: “They out on their own missions. Gwen has gone after the kids you lost to.”
Skyler: “I need to rest. Since you’re the genius of the group, you can take over while I recover.” Skyler heads to his room.
Jason (quietly): “Oh, I’ll change leadership of Team Chaos alright, but first, I need to make sure you wake up as the Skyler we need, not the Skyler we have.” Jason releases his Hypno and they follow Skyler.
Back in the City of Salem, Chase heads to his Pokemon League. The Rocket Boss has asked him and Vik to come over and show the secretes of the cartridge ball. Chase was quite unsure about this but he headed on over by Flying on his Fearow. Vik soon catches up with him on his Swellow.
Vik: “Hey Chase. I suppose you got the email too.” Vik was wearing his Team Rocket outfit. The Rocket Boss gave Vik instant membership when he saw how good a player he was.
Chase: “Nice outfit. I suppose you’ll be the one giving the Boss a cartridge ball?”
Vik: “What? It’s not like he’ll abuse the power of these things.”
Chase: “I know the Boss is really a good guy, but I think that spreading our power to other people could attract too much attention from Team Chaos.”
Vik: “C’mon. The Boss has enough members and an endless supply of powerful pokemon to kick Team Chaos’s butt. Get ready to land.” Vik and Chase land in front of the card shop where Pokemon League took place. They land in front of the card shop.
Chase: “Fearow Return.”
Vik: “Jo return.” Fearow and Vik’s Swellow nicknamed Jo disappear into the cartridge balls. The store was practically empty since it was an hour before league started. The Rocket Boss was waiting at a table. He dressed up just like a Rocket Grunt from the gameboy games. He had quite a few gamecube and Gameboy stuff on him as well.
Boss: “Vik, Chase, glad you both could make it.”
Vik: “How’s it going Brad?”
Brad: “I told you, in public, call me the Rocket Boss.”
Vik: “Whatever. Anyway, Chase was the first to get one of these cartridge balls.” He hands his cartridge ball over to Brad. Chase gets his out as well. Then a girl also dressed in a Rocket outfit arrives.
Chase: “Hey Brad, what’s Amy doing here?”
Brad: “She wanted to see the cartridge balls as well.”
Amy: “Hey boys.”
Brad, Chase, and Vik: “Hey Amy.”
Amy: “So Brad, will we be using these cartridge balls in future Gameboy tournament?”
Brad: “Yeah. With these devices I could run the best Pokemon Tournaments around.”
Chase: “That’s what I’m afraid of.”
Vik: “What? He’s just going to run tournaments with these things.”
Chase: “But if you do, there’s no doubt Team Chaos will come after you guys as well.”
Brad: “Hey, we’re Team Rocket. We’ll be able to stop them. So, when do Amy and I get our cartridge balls?”
Vik: “Right. Jirachi, I choose you.” Jirachi appears. Brad is impressed while Amy just becomes a bit ecstatic.
Amy: “Oh, it’s much cuter in real life than it is on the Gamecube.”
Vik: “Hey Jirachi, I wish for two cartridge balls. One for my friend Brad, and another for Amy.” Jirachi makes new cartridge balls appear. Now Brad and Amy get their Emerald games and insert them into the slot in the cartridge ball. Then, Gwen shows up at the league.
Gwen: “It’s amazing what a real live Jirachi can do for you.” The whole group sees Gwen and are amazed that she knows about the real live pokemon. Gwen wore a suit wired with gadgets similar to Skyler’s but it had a more of a feminine style.
Chase: “That suit. You’re a member of Team Chaos, aren’t you?”
Amy: “That’s a Team Chaos outfit? They barely got style.”
Chase: “You better leave or I’ll-“
Gwen: “Relax Chase. I’m here to talk. Look, I’ll hand my cartridge ball over to this Team Rocket bozo.” She hands over her cartridge ball over to Brad, who is a bit mad for the bozo comment.
Vik: “What does Team Chaos want?”
Gwen: “Funny, I didn’t expect Chase to be a member of Team Rocket.”
Chase: “I’m not really a member of Team Rocket. Didn’t you notice that I’m not wearing the outfit?”
Gwen: “Whatever. Anyway, my name is Gwen. I’m a Team Chaos Admin. You are very rude Chase. Stealing our cartridge balls.”
Chase: “What do you mean steal?”
Gwen: “You should know that when Jirachi grants wishes, half the time, it teleports the item from somewhere else. Team Chaos are the only people on Earth who have those special pokeballs. You used your Jirachi to teleport them out of our secrete base and give them to your friends. That is just unacceptable”
Vik: “Well I guess that’s too bad cuz we’re gonna use these cartridge balls to take Team Chaos down.”
Gwen: “How can you? Four Team Rocket wannabes against our army, an army that is anxious to battle you. Alakazam, Gardevior, Teleport!” Gwen’s two pokemon appear out of nowhere.
Chase: “It’s a trap!”
Gwen: “Of course it was. Take us to the battle arena, Alakazam and Gardevoir.” The next thing anyone knows, they are inside a building with a few Team Chaos members ready to battle.
Brad: “You tricked us. You had your pokemon already released.”
Gwen: “I guess Team Rocket isn’t as dumb as they are in the cartoon show.”
Chase: “Forget about her, Brad. If it’s a battle they want, it’s a battle they’ll get. Go Breloom!”
Amy: “I am so sick of that girl. I choose Persian.”
Vik: “Jo, Time to Battle.”
Brad: “Slacking, let’s dominate these losers!” Breloom, Persian, Slacking, and Swellow all appear.
Gwen: “Gardevoir, time to battle! Team Chaos Grunts, sent out your pokemon!” Gardevoir readies for battle. It’s battle partners are Flygon, Zangoose and the evolution of Gligar, Gliscor.
Brad: “I’ll start off this 4-on-4 battle. Slacking, use Hyper Beam on Gardevoir!”
Gwen: “Dodge using Teleport!” Gardevoir dodges.
Brad: “How is that possible? Teleport is not a defensive attack in the game.”
Chase: “When battling in our world, attacks can be used differently, Brad.”
Gwen: “That’s right, Team Chaos teaches their pokemon these attacks because for the real world effects.”
Vik: “My turn. Jo, use Sky Attack!”
TC Grunt: “Gliscor, Stop Swellow with Thunder Fang.” Gliscor manages to hit it’s target, Jo falls to the ground.
Vik: “Get back in the air, Jo.”
Gwen: “Not so fast, Gardevoir, Charge Beam!” Gardevoir fires an attack that zaps the life out of Jo.
Brad: “You teach your pokemon attacks from the Diamond and Pearl games too?”
Chase: “Uh, serious déjà vu. It’s like an instant replay of when I first got my cartridge ball.”
Amy: “Persian, use Fake Out on Zangoose.” Persian manages to hit Zangoose.
Chase: “Quick Breloom, use Spore to put them all to sleep!”
TC Grunt: “Not so fast. Flygon, quick. Trap Breloom with Sand Tomb.” Breloom gets stuck in quick sand that Flygon made appear out of nowhere.
Chase: “Don’t worry about it Breloom. Just use Spore anyway!” Breloom manages to put only Flygon to sleep.
Vik: “Jo, while it’s asleep, Try another Sky Attack on Flygon.”
Amy: “Team up with Jo, Persian. Faint Attack.”
Gwen: “Gardevoir, Magical Leaf on Persian!”
TC Grunt: “Zangoose, use Crush Claw on Swellow.”
Brad: “Slacking, another Hyper Beam!”
Chase: “Focus Punch Breloom!”
TC Grunt: “Gliscor, Dark Pulse!” All these attacks hit in the same spot, creating explosive results. When the dust clears Gliscor and Slacking were the only two still ready to battle as all the other pokemon have been KO’d from all those attacks hitting at once. Their trainers call them back into their cartridge balls.
TC Grunt: “Gliscor, while Slacking’s down, use a Fire Fang!” Slacking is hit.
Chase: “This isn’t good. Slacking’s a goner.”
Brad: “Slacking come one. Use another Hyper Beam.”
TC Grunt: “Thunder Fang again, Gliscor.” This time, Slacking flinches from the attack. The Hyper Beam fails.
Amy: “We’re in trouble.”
Gwen: “This is game over. Gliscor, Ice Fang!” Slacking is Ko’d from taking three elemental fangs in a row. Brad forces Slacking back into it’s cartridge ball.
Gwen: “Let this be a lesson to you all. Don’t mess with Team Chaos. Alakazam, Teleport them back to that card shop.” Chase, Amy, Brad, and Vik find themselves back at the Pokemon League.
Brad: “We’ll get them next time.”
Vik: “I can’t believe it. They’re ahead of us since they have Diamond and Pearl Pokemon and attacks.”
Chase: “Now you know why I didn’t want you to have the cartridge ball in the first place, Brad. They’ll just keep attacking until we give up.”
Brad: “Don’t worry about it. I’ll give the other Rockets cartridge balls and we’ll come back regrouped and even stronger.” Chase settles down a bit. He decides to let Brad and Amy of Team Rocket keep the cartridge balls. Back at Team Chaos HQ, Jason meets up with Gwen.
Jason: “Congratulations on winning the battle, but how come you didn’t take their cartridge balls.”
Gwen: “Whoopsie, Forgot about that. I’ll just have to head back and teach them another lesson.” Jason growls with anger.
Jason: “Gwen I swear, you’re more trouble than you’re worth. Just make sure to take their cartridge balls next time.” He leaves her alone.
Gwen (quietly): “I’ll be sure that Chase learns alright.” Meanwhile, Pokemon League was about to start at the card shop Chase, Brad, Amy, and Vik were.
Brad: “Since those Team Chaos freaks are using Diamond and Pearl attacks, I say we log onto Serebii and find out what we’re up against.”
Chase: “Good idea. Maybe we’ll find ways to teach our pokemon those new attacks.”
Vik: “Ok, so, I guess we’re a real Team now.”
Chase: “Not quite. Not all of us are here. You forget, there are probably other trainers out there, like Lucas.”
Vik: “Dude, you just gave him a pokeball with a Nidoran inside it.”
Chase: “Whatever. I just want this chaotic nightmare to end.”
Amy: “Chase, just know this, we’re willing to help you uot.”
Brad: “Count me out. This is where I go solo.” He sends out his Skarmory, and then flies away on it.
Amy: “Wait boss. We need you help!”
Vik: “He’s going to give the other Rockets cartridge balls, isn’t he?”
Amy: “Knowing him, I’d say yes. That, and find a way to obtain attacks from the Diamond and Pearl games. I better go too.” Amy sends out a Pidgeot and follows Brad. Vik and Chase just watch from below, wondering if Team Rocket really wanted to fight Team Chaos.
The weekend was over. Chase was back in school. After all the adventures he had in the past week, he wanted to get back in the battle field, defeating Team Chaos again. Little did he know that Team Chaos was back on track. And they were going to strike via the internet. Gwen takes PorygonZ to a Computer lab somewhere in the city.
Gwen: “Okay PorygonZ, we need to make sure Chase gets the wake up call of a life time. If Skyler wants him to play ‘Hero’ then this kid needs to be on his toes. Go into the internet and make sure that not just him, but this whole city knows what we’re capable of.” PorygonZ renders itself into data and digitizes itself on a nearby computer. Then it begins traveling on the internet. Meanwhile, Chase was having lunch at school.
Aaron: “Can you believe this guy? Pokemon obsesser.”
Chase: “Are you jealous of my heroism?”
Aaron: “What do you mean? You skipped school last Friday to end up being on the News.”
Chase: “How was I supposed to know a helicopter was taping me rescuing Lucas?”
Aaron: “I know you hate publicity, but you have to admit, it was something seeing you jump off that Rayquaza, save the kid, and land on an Articuno.”
Chase: “But this may attract some unwanted attention.”
Aaron: “From who?”
Chase: “The government, the authorities, and Team Chaos.”
Aaron: “Don’t worry about it. Nothing can go wrong.” They finish they’re lunch and then head on up to the library. Everyone was complaining about the internet, which was nothing new to Aaron and Chase. They each sign on to a computer. When they try to sign onto the internet, something weird happens. The schools website has a message posted that read:
Ha ha ha. Team Chaos strikes again.
Aaron: “Hey, Chase, isn’t that the morons who attacked last week?” Chase checks some other websites, but every website had the same message. All the websites were not working right. Chase logs onto a different website and sees an icon that looks like PorygonZ manipulating the website.
Chase: “So that’s it. PorygonZ.”
Aaron: “What?” A crowd of students gather around Chase’s computer to see what he meant. PorygonZ posts the message and then logs out of the website.
Aaron: “You gotta stop that thing, Chase.”
Chase: “I can try, but I’m snot sure if PorygonZ is up for a battle.” Chase logs onto a different website that hasn’t been hacked yet. He knew that PorygonZ would eventually try to hack this one. He turns on his gameboy and puts his Porygon2 into his party. When his game is ready, he puts his FireRed game into his cartridge ball.
Chase: “It’s virus deletion time. Porygon2, you’re on.” Porygon2 materializes.
Chase: “Digitize yourself into this website Porygon2. While in there, wait for PorygonZ and then see if you can fix the websites it hacked.” Porygon2 starts glowing, and then digitizes itself into the computer, and then the website.
Aaron: “Think this’ll work Chase?”
Gwen: “It won’t.” The crowd turns around and Gwen is standing at the library’s entrance with her Gardevoir.
Chase: “So I take it, you sent PorygonZ into the internet?”
Gwen: “You catch on fast, Chase, but I won’t let you succeed. PorygonZ, attack.” Gwen was using a transmitter device that enabled her to communicate with PorygonZ.
Chase: “This is so unfair, I can’t communicate with my Porygon2.”
Gwen: “Who said I was having it attack your Porygon2?” PorygonZ hacks the school’s server. The printer in the library starts going haywire. The computers in the cafeteria start charging the wrong amount of lunch money toward the students. Students grades are even hacked by PorygonZ. All Chase can do is watch and wait.
Chase: “Fight fair, Gwen.”
Gwen: “Life’s never fair. I know that quite well. I was forced to watch in horror as Skyler suffered.” She shudders and looks down.
Chase: “Suffered from what?”
Gwen: “I’ve said too much. Now’s not the time.”
Chase: “Spill the beans. Tell me, what are you hiding?” Then, Gwen’s transmitter beeps.
Chase: “I hope Porygon2 is doing ok.”
Gwen: “Digitize yourself and that Porygon2 out of there.” PorygonZ and Porygon2 come out of a scanner. They are locked in battle.
Chase: “Psychic attack, Porygon2.” Porygon2 attack’s but PorygonZ is able to withstand it.
Gwen: “PorygonZ, Signal Beam!”
Librarian: “No battling indoors!” The two Porygons stop attacking.
Gwen: “Fine, PorygonZ, back inside the internet.”
Chase: “After it, Porygon2!” The two Porygons digitize back into cyberspace.”
Gwen: “Hand over your cartridge ball, and PorygonZ and I will leave quietly.”
Chase: “Forget it. By the way, can that microphone on your transmitter pick up my commands?”
Gwen: “I know what you’re up to. Gardevoir, let’s get out of here.” They Teleport out of the library. The server continues to go haywire. The battle in the internet has efferts all over the world. More than half the websites have been hacked by PorygonZ.
Chase: “What will I do now? I can’t communicate with Porygon2.”
Aaron: “We need to find that girl. She couldn’t have gotten far.” Chase’s cell phone begins ringing.
Mrs. Beltran: “Chase, what’s going on? The internet shows some ridiculous message and all the computers here at Lucas’s school are going crazy.”
Chase: “I know, the same thing is happening here at my high school. By the way, have you seen anyone wearing a similar outfit to what Skyler was wearing.”
Mrs. Beltran: “I see her. She’s here. Get here now.” Chase hangs up.
Chase: “Man, that was a lucky break. I need to get out of here, and stop Gwen.” Chase heads outside and releases his Fearow from his FireRed game. He Flies over to Lucas’s elementary school. He saw Gwen battling Lucas.
Chase: “Fearow, Fly attack on that Gardevoir.” Fearow dives down at Gardevoir and strikes. Chase jumps off of Fearow as the attack hits.
Gwen: “Hey, no fair sneaking up on your opponents.”
Lucas: “I told you he’d be here. Hey Chase!”
Chase: “Not now Lucas, Fearow return.” Fearow goes back into the cartridge ball.
Gwen: “Are you here to play ‘hero’ again?”
Chase: “What happened to my Porygon2?”
Gwen: “It’s battling with my PorygonZ at this very moment in cyberspace. What it doesn’t know is that battling in there will just elp us to hack and damage the websites.”
Chase (shouting) : Porygon2! If you can hear me, get out of there!” Porygon2 picks up the message and digitizes back at the library.
Gwen: “Good thinking, but who’s going to stop my PorygonZ?”
Chase: “I’m not too worried, Manetric, you’re on.” Manetric emerges form the cartridge ball. Lucas approaches Chase.
Lucas: “Hey Chase.”
Chase: “Hold on Lucas. Manetric, Thunder Wave on her transmitter.” A small electric shock short circuits Gwen’s transmitter. PorygonZ is cut off. Unsure of what to do, it materializes in the school and levitates toward Gwen.
Gwen: “Payback time. PorygonZ, Signal Beam! Gardevoir, Charge Beam.” The two beams hit Manetric.
Lucas: “Hey, two against one? Spiny, get in there and use Poison Sting.” Spiny joins the battle and attacks Gardevoir. Gardevoir starts to show signs of poisoning.
Gwen: “You little brat. Gardevoir, use Psychic on that pesky Nidoran.” Gardevoir blasts Spiny with a large concentration of energy.
Chase: “Great, two against one again.. Manetric, Thunder with everything you got.” Manetric zaps both Gardevoir and PorygonZ, but they both live through the attack.
Gwen: “Well it was fun. PorygonZ, Hyper Beam.” The attack manages to KO Manetric. Chase has lost the battle.
Gwen: “I’ll be taking your cartridge ball now.” Lucas runs up to Gwen
Lucas: “No you won’t.” Gwen stops when she sees Lucas.
Gwen: “Cute kid. I see you are a hero, in that case… Gardevoir, Teleport us back to HQ.” Gardevoir hesitates for a moment, then Teleports Gwen, PorygonZ, and itself away.
Chase: “What was that all about?”
Mrs. Beltran: “Well if you ask me, she did enough damage. Anything linked to a server or the internet has gone out of control.”
Lucas: “Hey Chase, remember when you said you owe me big?”
Chase: “Oh no. What do you need?” Chase’s cell phone starts to ring again.
Aaron: “Get back to school, Lunch is over. And your Porygon2 is waiting for you.” Chase hands up and releases his Fearow again.
Chase: “I’ll have to get back to you on that, Lucas.” He flies off on his Fearow. When he arrives at his school’s library, he sees that the librarian and the school administrators were using Porgon2 to reset the server.
Mr. Johnson: “Aw, Chase. I’m glad you got rid of the girl who did this, but for now, I’ll need your pokeman to help correct the system.”
Chase: “Fine, call me back when you’re finished with it. Porygon2, keep up the good work.” Back at Team Chaos HQ, Shade confronts Gwen.
Shade: “Why did you back down?”
Gwen: “What do you mean?”
Shade: “You took one look at that little kid and just completely hesitated. Just pathetic.”
Gwen: “Oh, and I suppose you could do a better job?”
Shade: “I don’t care as long as we stop the kid from becoming a bigger threat than he already is. We already have four cartridge balls missing.”
Jason: “Make that 7 missing. I’m guessing that those Team Rocket bozos wanted more and wished the away from here. Shade, since Master Skyler is still sick, you’ll have to deal with Chase.”
Shade: “I promise you, Chase will wish he was never born. I won’t let anyone stand in my way. It’s out of the shadows and into the darkness for him and his friends.”

Gwen: “Relax Chase. I’m here to talk. Look, I’ll hand my cartridge ball over to this Team Rocket bozo.” She hands over her cartridge ball over to Brad, who is a bit mad for the bozo comment.
Vik: “What does Team Chaos want?”
Gwen: “Funny, I didn’t expect Chase to be a member of Team Rocket.”
Chase: “I’m not really a member of Team Rocket. Didn’t you notice that I’m not wearing the outfit?”
Gwen: “Whatever. Anyway, my name is Gwen. I’m a Team Chaos Admin. You are very rude Chase. Stealing our cartridge balls.”
Chase: “What do you mean steal?”
Gwen: “You should know that when Jirachi grants wishes, half the time, it teleports the item from somewhere else. Team Chaos are the only people on Earth who have those special pokeballs. You used your Jirachi to teleport them out of our secrete base and give them to your friends. That is just unacceptable”
Vik: “Well I guess that’s too bad cuz we’re gonna use these cartridge balls to take Team Chaos down.”
Gwen: “How can you? Four Team Rocket wannabes against our army, an army that is anxious to battle you. Alakazam, Gardevior, Teleport!” Gwen’s two pokemon appear out of nowhere.
Chase: “It’s a trap!”
Gwen: “Of course it was. Take us to the battle arena, Alakazam and Gardevoir.” The next thing anyone knows, they are inside a building with a few Team Chaos members ready to battle.
Brad: “You tricked us. You had your pokemon already released.”
Gwen: “I guess Team Rocket isn’t as dumb as they are in the cartoon show.”
Chase: “Forget about her, Brad. If it’s a battle they want, it’s a battle they’ll get. Go Breloom!”
Amy: “I am so sick of that girl. I choose Persian.”
Vik: “Jo, Time to Battle.”
Brad: “Slacking, let’s dominate these losers!” Breloom, Persian, Slacking, and Swellow all appear.
Gwen: “Gardevoir, time to battle! Team Chaos Grunts, sent out your pokemon!” Gardevoir readies for battle. It’s battle partners are Flygon, Zangoose and the evolution of Gligar, Gliscor.
Brad: “I’ll start off this 4-on-4 battle. Slacking, use Hyper Beam on Gardevoir!”
Gwen: “Dodge using Teleport!” Gardevoir dodges.
Brad: “How is that possible? Teleport is not a defensive attack in the game.”
Chase: “When battling in our world, attacks can be used differently, Brad.”
Gwen: “That’s right, Team Chaos teaches their pokemon these attacks because for the real world effects.”
Vik: “My turn. Jo, use Sky Attack!”
TC Grunt: “Gliscor, Stop Swellow with Thunder Fang.” Gliscor manages to hit it’s target, Jo falls to the ground.
Vik: “Get back in the air, Jo.”
Gwen: “Not so fast, Gardevoir, Charge Beam!” Gardevoir fires an attack that zaps the life out of Jo.
Brad: “You teach your pokemon attacks from the Diamond and Pearl games too?”
Chase: “Uh, serious déjà vu. It’s like an instant replay of when I first got my cartridge ball.”
Amy: “Persian, use Fake Out on Zangoose.” Persian manages to hit Zangoose.
Chase: “Quick Breloom, use Spore to put them all to sleep!”
TC Grunt: “Not so fast. Flygon, quick. Trap Breloom with Sand Tomb.” Breloom gets stuck in quick sand that Flygon made appear out of nowhere.
Chase: “Don’t worry about it Breloom. Just use Spore anyway!” Breloom manages to put only Flygon to sleep.
Vik: “Jo, while it’s asleep, Try another Sky Attack on Flygon.”
Amy: “Team up with Jo, Persian. Faint Attack.”
Gwen: “Gardevoir, Magical Leaf on Persian!”
TC Grunt: “Zangoose, use Crush Claw on Swellow.”
Brad: “Slacking, another Hyper Beam!”
Chase: “Focus Punch Breloom!”
TC Grunt: “Gliscor, Dark Pulse!” All these attacks hit in the same spot, creating explosive results. When the dust clears Gliscor and Slacking were the only two still ready to battle as all the other pokemon have been KO’d from all those attacks hitting at once. Their trainers call them back into their cartridge balls.
TC Grunt: “Gliscor, while Slacking’s down, use a Fire Fang!” Slacking is hit.
Chase: “This isn’t good. Slacking’s a goner.”
Brad: “Slacking come one. Use another Hyper Beam.”
TC Grunt: “Thunder Fang again, Gliscor.” This time, Slacking flinches from the attack. The Hyper Beam fails.
Amy: “We’re in trouble.”
Gwen: “This is game over. Gliscor, Ice Fang!” Slacking is Ko’d from taking three elemental fangs in a row. Brad forces Slacking back into it’s cartridge ball.
Gwen: “Let this be a lesson to you all. Don’t mess with Team Chaos. Alakazam, Teleport them back to that card shop.” Chase, Amy, Brad, and Vik find themselves back at the Pokemon League.
Brad: “We’ll get them next time.”
Vik: “I can’t believe it. They’re ahead of us since they have Diamond and Pearl Pokemon and attacks.”
Chase: “Now you know why I didn’t want you to have the cartridge ball in the first place, Brad. They’ll just keep attacking until we give up.”
Brad: “Don’t worry about it. I’ll give the other Rockets cartridge balls and we’ll come back regrouped and even stronger.” Chase settles down a bit. He decides to let Brad and Amy of Team Rocket keep the cartridge balls. Back at Team Chaos HQ, Jason meets up with Gwen.
Jason: “Congratulations on winning the battle, but how come you didn’t take their cartridge balls.”
Gwen: “Whoopsie, Forgot about that. I’ll just have to head back and teach them another lesson.” Jason growls with anger.
Jason: “Gwen I swear, you’re more trouble than you’re worth. Just make sure to take their cartridge balls next time.” He leaves her alone.
Gwen (quietly): “I’ll be sure that Chase learns alright.” Meanwhile, Pokemon League was about to start at the card shop Chase, Brad, Amy, and Vik were.
Brad: “Since those Team Chaos freaks are using Diamond and Pearl attacks, I say we log onto Serebii and find out what we’re up against.”
Chase: “Good idea. Maybe we’ll find ways to teach our pokemon those new attacks.”
Vik: “Ok, so, I guess we’re a real Team now.”
Chase: “Not quite. Not all of us are here. You forget, there are probably other trainers out there, like Lucas.”
Vik: “Dude, you just gave him a pokeball with a Nidoran inside it.”
Chase: “Whatever. I just want this chaotic nightmare to end.”
Amy: “Chase, just know this, we’re willing to help you uot.”
Brad: “Count me out. This is where I go solo.” He sends out his Skarmory, and then flies away on it.
Amy: “Wait boss. We need you help!”
Vik: “He’s going to give the other Rockets cartridge balls, isn’t he?”
Amy: “Knowing him, I’d say yes. That, and find a way to obtain attacks from the Diamond and Pearl games. I better go too.” Amy sends out a Pidgeot and follows Brad. Vik and Chase just watch from below, wondering if Team Rocket really wanted to fight Team Chaos.
Chapter 10: Cybernetic chaos
The weekend was over. Chase was back in school. After all the adventures he had in the past week, he wanted to get back in the battle field, defeating Team Chaos again. Little did he know that Team Chaos was back on track. And they were going to strike via the internet. Gwen takes PorygonZ to a Computer lab somewhere in the city.
Gwen: “Okay PorygonZ, we need to make sure Chase gets the wake up call of a life time. If Skyler wants him to play ‘Hero’ then this kid needs to be on his toes. Go into the internet and make sure that not just him, but this whole city knows what we’re capable of.” PorygonZ renders itself into data and digitizes itself on a nearby computer. Then it begins traveling on the internet. Meanwhile, Chase was having lunch at school.
Aaron: “Can you believe this guy? Pokemon obsesser.”
Chase: “Are you jealous of my heroism?”
Aaron: “What do you mean? You skipped school last Friday to end up being on the News.”
Chase: “How was I supposed to know a helicopter was taping me rescuing Lucas?”
Aaron: “I know you hate publicity, but you have to admit, it was something seeing you jump off that Rayquaza, save the kid, and land on an Articuno.”
Chase: “But this may attract some unwanted attention.”
Aaron: “From who?”
Chase: “The government, the authorities, and Team Chaos.”
Aaron: “Don’t worry about it. Nothing can go wrong.” They finish they’re lunch and then head on up to the library. Everyone was complaining about the internet, which was nothing new to Aaron and Chase. They each sign on to a computer. When they try to sign onto the internet, something weird happens. The schools website has a message posted that read:
Ha ha ha. Team Chaos strikes again.
Aaron: “Hey, Chase, isn’t that the morons who attacked last week?” Chase checks some other websites, but every website had the same message. All the websites were not working right. Chase logs onto a different website and sees an icon that looks like PorygonZ manipulating the website.
Chase: “So that’s it. PorygonZ.”
Aaron: “What?” A crowd of students gather around Chase’s computer to see what he meant. PorygonZ posts the message and then logs out of the website.
Aaron: “You gotta stop that thing, Chase.”
Chase: “I can try, but I’m snot sure if PorygonZ is up for a battle.” Chase logs onto a different website that hasn’t been hacked yet. He knew that PorygonZ would eventually try to hack this one. He turns on his gameboy and puts his Porygon2 into his party. When his game is ready, he puts his FireRed game into his cartridge ball.
Chase: “It’s virus deletion time. Porygon2, you’re on.” Porygon2 materializes.
Chase: “Digitize yourself into this website Porygon2. While in there, wait for PorygonZ and then see if you can fix the websites it hacked.” Porygon2 starts glowing, and then digitizes itself into the computer, and then the website.
Aaron: “Think this’ll work Chase?”
Gwen: “It won’t.” The crowd turns around and Gwen is standing at the library’s entrance with her Gardevoir.
Chase: “So I take it, you sent PorygonZ into the internet?”
Gwen: “You catch on fast, Chase, but I won’t let you succeed. PorygonZ, attack.” Gwen was using a transmitter device that enabled her to communicate with PorygonZ.
Chase: “This is so unfair, I can’t communicate with my Porygon2.”
Gwen: “Who said I was having it attack your Porygon2?” PorygonZ hacks the school’s server. The printer in the library starts going haywire. The computers in the cafeteria start charging the wrong amount of lunch money toward the students. Students grades are even hacked by PorygonZ. All Chase can do is watch and wait.
Chase: “Fight fair, Gwen.”
Gwen: “Life’s never fair. I know that quite well. I was forced to watch in horror as Skyler suffered.” She shudders and looks down.
Chase: “Suffered from what?”
Gwen: “I’ve said too much. Now’s not the time.”
Chase: “Spill the beans. Tell me, what are you hiding?” Then, Gwen’s transmitter beeps.
Chase: “I hope Porygon2 is doing ok.”
Gwen: “Digitize yourself and that Porygon2 out of there.” PorygonZ and Porygon2 come out of a scanner. They are locked in battle.
Chase: “Psychic attack, Porygon2.” Porygon2 attack’s but PorygonZ is able to withstand it.
Gwen: “PorygonZ, Signal Beam!”
Librarian: “No battling indoors!” The two Porygons stop attacking.
Gwen: “Fine, PorygonZ, back inside the internet.”
Chase: “After it, Porygon2!” The two Porygons digitize back into cyberspace.”
Gwen: “Hand over your cartridge ball, and PorygonZ and I will leave quietly.”
Chase: “Forget it. By the way, can that microphone on your transmitter pick up my commands?”
Gwen: “I know what you’re up to. Gardevoir, let’s get out of here.” They Teleport out of the library. The server continues to go haywire. The battle in the internet has efferts all over the world. More than half the websites have been hacked by PorygonZ.
Chase: “What will I do now? I can’t communicate with Porygon2.”
Aaron: “We need to find that girl. She couldn’t have gotten far.” Chase’s cell phone begins ringing.
Mrs. Beltran: “Chase, what’s going on? The internet shows some ridiculous message and all the computers here at Lucas’s school are going crazy.”
Chase: “I know, the same thing is happening here at my high school. By the way, have you seen anyone wearing a similar outfit to what Skyler was wearing.”
Mrs. Beltran: “I see her. She’s here. Get here now.” Chase hangs up.
Chase: “Man, that was a lucky break. I need to get out of here, and stop Gwen.” Chase heads outside and releases his Fearow from his FireRed game. He Flies over to Lucas’s elementary school. He saw Gwen battling Lucas.
Chase: “Fearow, Fly attack on that Gardevoir.” Fearow dives down at Gardevoir and strikes. Chase jumps off of Fearow as the attack hits.
Gwen: “Hey, no fair sneaking up on your opponents.”
Lucas: “I told you he’d be here. Hey Chase!”
Chase: “Not now Lucas, Fearow return.” Fearow goes back into the cartridge ball.
Gwen: “Are you here to play ‘hero’ again?”
Chase: “What happened to my Porygon2?”
Gwen: “It’s battling with my PorygonZ at this very moment in cyberspace. What it doesn’t know is that battling in there will just elp us to hack and damage the websites.”
Chase (shouting) : Porygon2! If you can hear me, get out of there!” Porygon2 picks up the message and digitizes back at the library.
Gwen: “Good thinking, but who’s going to stop my PorygonZ?”
Chase: “I’m not too worried, Manetric, you’re on.” Manetric emerges form the cartridge ball. Lucas approaches Chase.
Lucas: “Hey Chase.”
Chase: “Hold on Lucas. Manetric, Thunder Wave on her transmitter.” A small electric shock short circuits Gwen’s transmitter. PorygonZ is cut off. Unsure of what to do, it materializes in the school and levitates toward Gwen.
Gwen: “Payback time. PorygonZ, Signal Beam! Gardevoir, Charge Beam.” The two beams hit Manetric.
Lucas: “Hey, two against one? Spiny, get in there and use Poison Sting.” Spiny joins the battle and attacks Gardevoir. Gardevoir starts to show signs of poisoning.
Gwen: “You little brat. Gardevoir, use Psychic on that pesky Nidoran.” Gardevoir blasts Spiny with a large concentration of energy.
Chase: “Great, two against one again.. Manetric, Thunder with everything you got.” Manetric zaps both Gardevoir and PorygonZ, but they both live through the attack.
Gwen: “Well it was fun. PorygonZ, Hyper Beam.” The attack manages to KO Manetric. Chase has lost the battle.
Gwen: “I’ll be taking your cartridge ball now.” Lucas runs up to Gwen
Lucas: “No you won’t.” Gwen stops when she sees Lucas.
Gwen: “Cute kid. I see you are a hero, in that case… Gardevoir, Teleport us back to HQ.” Gardevoir hesitates for a moment, then Teleports Gwen, PorygonZ, and itself away.
Chase: “What was that all about?”
Mrs. Beltran: “Well if you ask me, she did enough damage. Anything linked to a server or the internet has gone out of control.”
Lucas: “Hey Chase, remember when you said you owe me big?”
Chase: “Oh no. What do you need?” Chase’s cell phone starts to ring again.
Aaron: “Get back to school, Lunch is over. And your Porygon2 is waiting for you.” Chase hands up and releases his Fearow again.
Chase: “I’ll have to get back to you on that, Lucas.” He flies off on his Fearow. When he arrives at his school’s library, he sees that the librarian and the school administrators were using Porgon2 to reset the server.
Mr. Johnson: “Aw, Chase. I’m glad you got rid of the girl who did this, but for now, I’ll need your pokeman to help correct the system.”
Chase: “Fine, call me back when you’re finished with it. Porygon2, keep up the good work.” Back at Team Chaos HQ, Shade confronts Gwen.
Shade: “Why did you back down?”
Gwen: “What do you mean?”
Shade: “You took one look at that little kid and just completely hesitated. Just pathetic.”
Gwen: “Oh, and I suppose you could do a better job?”
Shade: “I don’t care as long as we stop the kid from becoming a bigger threat than he already is. We already have four cartridge balls missing.”
Jason: “Make that 7 missing. I’m guessing that those Team Rocket bozos wanted more and wished the away from here. Shade, since Master Skyler is still sick, you’ll have to deal with Chase.”
Shade: “I promise you, Chase will wish he was never born. I won’t let anyone stand in my way. It’s out of the shadows and into the darkness for him and his friends.”
