Chapter 24
A funny story about this chapter. This was originally titled "The last Stand" but since it turned out to be insanely long I decided to just cut this chapter into two parts and give the first part a last minute title change.
Please don't get Amy and Katie mixed up since they're sharing text colors.

Vik and his mother were climbing up a ladder up to the roof of the base when They heard Dialga using its Time Roar.
Mrs. Armstrong: “What is that? Doesn’t sound like a pokemon we’ve heard on the cartoon show.”
Vik: “Sounds like Chase is in big trouble. We need to hurry and get dad then help him before its too late.” When they reach the 3 story high room, they see Mr. Armstrong with a tool belt attempting to fix a TV satellite.
Vik: “Dad, what are you doing?”
Mr. Armstrong: “Not now, I’m already fixing the satellite dish. Wait a minute, the two of you shouldn’t be on here.” The next anyone on the roof heard was a cry of another pokemon. The Armstrong family looks to the sky and sees a Skarmory approaching fast with a Pidgeot not too far from it. Vik managed to recognize the two people riding the pokemon. Brad the “Rocket Boss” along with Amy. Soon a flock of 8 other Rocket members appeared on their flying type pokemon.
Brad (Shouting): “Hey Vik, here comes the cavalry!” Vik and his mother were happy to see Brad coming to the rescue. Mr. Armstrong, still under his mind control pulls a walkie talkie out of his tool belt in an attempt to contact one of the TC members. Brad quickly catches on and decides to take swift action.
Brad: “Skarmory, use Spikes attack to destroy that walkie talkie!” Skarmory follows Brad’s directs orders and destroys the wlakie talkie before Mr. Armstrong could call in trouble.
Mr. Armstrong: “When I’m done with you folks you’ll regret coming to Team Chaos’s base.” Brad and Amy come in for a landing on their pokemon while the rest of the members waiting on their flying pokemon.
Amy: “What’s with your dad?”
Vik: “Chase told me about a Hypno and a Darkrai that Team Chaos has been using to brainwash people, like my parents for instance. I think they Hypnosis or something like that.”
Mr. Armstrong: “I’m fine. It’s an honor to serve Team Chaos, unless the tv reception for ESPN is ruined.”
Mrs. Armstrong: "He's still in there, but I know he's under hypnosis for sure. The real Mr. Armstrong doesn't know how to use any of those tools on that belt! He needs to be snapped out of his hypnosis like I was"
Vik: "Yeah, Dad fix something?" Amy takes out her cartridge ball with her LeafGreen game in it.
Amy: “I can fix this. Butterfree, I choose you!” Butterfree comes out of her cartridge ball and hovers over Amy.
Amy: “Cancel out Mr. Armstrong’s brainwashing with Dream Eater!” Butterfree’s eyes glow Purple and Mr. Armstrong starts getting a headache. He almost collapses to the ground and soon has no memory of what’s happened recently. Soon it stops removing the effects of Hypnosis.
Mr. Armstrong: “What just happened? Vik, Brad, where are we and why am I wearing someone else’s tool belt?” He takes off the tool belt and leaves next to the TV satellite.
Vik: “Dad, you and mom have been kidnapped and then brainwashed. Team Chaos was using you two and AJ as bait to get me and Chase here.”
Mrs. Armstrong: “AJ? But didn’t Chase tell us that he disappeared a while ago?”
Vik: “Mom, there’s no time to explain. We need to get back inside the base and help Chase out.” Unknown to Vik, Chase was already getting help. Having also heard Dialga using Time Roar, Ariados and Gwen headed back toward Jason’s control room. This time, Gwen had her cartridge ball back thanks to Shade’s Ariados. She waited for Jason to leave the control room. He wondered off into the cafeteria to get himself something to eat. Gwen then used Ariados’s String Shot to head up into the corridor that led into the control so that not much noise would be heard as she snuck in. As she finished her climb, a loud banging noise was heard on the roof and the whole base shook.
Gwen: “What’s going on up there?” Jason wondered the same thing when he dropped his cinnamon roll and spilled his milk.
Jason: “Will I ever get a moments peace today?” Up on the roof, Vik has released his Tyranitar.
Vik: “Come on Tyranitar, you got to use Earthquake to break through the ceiling! Try one more time.” Vik and his parents climbed aboard his Rayquaza that one of the Rockets found and revived. Tyranitar leaps into the air and then bounds onto the ceiling and manages to leave huge dents and cracks. Below, Gwen panics and hurries into the control room and sees Chase, Shade, the young kids, Spiny, Ralts, Ponyta, shiny Rayquaza and Pachirisu all frozen from Roar of Time's effect. Darkrai was also frozen both by the effect and in a block of ice. Gwen prepares her cartridge ball and then throws it.
Gwen: “Help me out Flareon! You too Miltank!” Flareon and Miltank both come out of Gwen’s cartridge ball. After they emerge, another tremor occurs, this one more violent than the last one. After the tremor stopped, Gwen got back to business.
Gwen: “Flareon, use Overheat to defrost Darkrai! Miltank, when Flareon’s done, use Heal Bell on everyone in this room!” Flareon loosens a powerful stream of flames that melts Darkrai. Even though all the ice was gone, Darkrai was still frozen in time. Then Miltank shakes its tail as a chiming sound is emitted. Soon everyone effected by Roar of Time starts to have a green aura glow around them. Within seconds, everyone is back to normal.
Chase: “Whoa, what just happened?” At that moment, another tremor occurs. Above one of the main rooms of the base, Tyranitar and Vik broke through the roof and fall 3 stories to the ground. Jason is not surprised by Vik’s performance as he and his Tyranitar crash into the base. Soon Brad and Amy fly in through the huge hole in the roof on their Skarmory and Pidgeot. Followed by the other 8 Rockets who came. The Armstrongs just waited above the roof on Vik's Rayquaza. Vik immediately confronts Jason.
Vik: “Jason, what happened to my friends?”
Jason: “What’s this, the Rocket Lunatic and his friends come to cause me some chaos? Well Chase and your other friends are resting at the moment. You could say they’ve never been better.”
Brad: “I don’t have time for chit chat. Slacking, it’s time to dominate!”
Amy: “Dragonite, I choose you!” Tyranitar, Slacking, and Dragonite all stare down at Jason, ready for anything that he could do. Jason just throws his Elite ball.
Jason: “Dialga, use Roar of Time on all of them!” Dialga appears and is about to use it’s Roar of Time when a Hyper Beam from behind it hits and throws off its concentration. Jason looks up and sees Chase with his Metagross using Hyper Beam on Dialga. Shade was also there with his Ariados and Darkrai. His Ariados fires a Night Shade attack to help Chase’s Metagross.
Brad: “Quick Slacking, use Hyper Beam too!”
Amy: “Made it a double Hyper Beam, Dragonite!”
Vik: “Tyranitar, team up for a triple Hyper Beam!” All three tyrants from the Rocket group fire their Hyper Beams at Dialga. But it’s not long before Dialga deflects all the beams and appears to be barely damaged.
Shade: “Don’t they know that using just Hyper Beam won’t work since Dialga is part Steel type?”
Chase: “I’m not giving up so easily. Articuno, come on out!” Chase throws his cartridge ball and his fully recovered Articuno appears below him. He jumps onto its back and then rides down to where Vik and the other Rockets were. At that same moment, a huge number of TC grunts appear. Brad isn’t too worried by the threat.
Brad: “Okay Rockets, lets show them what we’re made of. Attack!” The other rockets release their main battling pokemon. Blastoise, Typhlosion, Mewtwo, Machamp all appear and begin attacking the TC Grunts who have Luxray, Toxicroak, PorygonZ, and Gliscor. The massive battle was just beginning. Soon Vik notices that Chase was alone.
Vik: “Hey Chase, where are those kids you brought with us?”
Chase: “With Gwen and AJ.” Although, AJ was still not himself. Gwen was trying to use her Miltank’s Heal Bell to make AJ snap out of it. However, nothing seemed to work right. AJ still thought he was Skyler, but having been hypnotized so many times Skyler was starting to become a bit more out of control.
Skyler: “Quit trying my patience Gwen. I’m becoming very irritated by you wasting my time.”
Gwen: “Trust me Skyler, this is for your best interest.” Meanwhile, Lucas gave Ralts a Revive item that Gwen gave him out of her Emerald game. Zach did the same thing for his Fearow. Both Fearow and Ralts slowly recover but remain very weak.
Katie: “Is Ralts gonna be ok?”
Lucas: “Ralts helped me out so much. If it could use Synchronize again I think it can help AJ remember again.”
Gwen: “Lucas, that’s it.”
Skyler: “What’s it?”
Gwen: “In the game Ralts is known as the Emotion pokemon. By using synchronize Ralts can tap into your emotions and use those to help your brother remember.” Skyler couldn’t remember the last time synchronize was used on him. All he knew was that he needed to defeat whoever was trying to wreck the base.
Skyler: “I have no time for this. Rayquaza, let’s head into battle." Rayquaza picks up Skyler with one of its claws and then flies out of the corridor and into the main room were the battle was taking place.
Zach: “Now what do we do?”
Gwen: “You kids stay here and wait for Fearow and Ralts to fully recover. Until the pokemon are done recovering, don’t come out of this room.” She and her Miltank and Flareon head down the corridor. When she sees the battle, there are several pokemon battling and Dialga was trying to use Time Roar to freeze everyone, but Tyranitar, Dragonite, Articuno, and on occasions Slacking wouldn’t allow it. Shade then sneaks upon her.
Shade: “Sorry Gwen, but you’d just interfere. Dark Void attack, Darkrai!” Darkrai uses Dark Void and Gwen, Miltank, and Flareon all pass out. Skyler on his Rayquaza fly by.
Skyler: “What are you doing Shade?”
Shade: “Eliminating my threats. Dark Void again, Darkrai!”
Skyler: “Fly up to that hole in the roof and use Draco Meteor on everything in this room!” Rayquaza follows Skyler’s orders and begins its attack. Chase manages to catch up to him on his Articuno.
Skyler: “Finally, my greatest adversary has appeared in front of me.”
Chase: “Look AJ, or Skyler, uh, whoever you are. Jason has everyone in the palm of his hand. You got realize who the real enemy is. (quietly) Articuno, use Mind Reader on his Rayquaza.” Articuno coos softly as it focuses on the shiny Rayquaza.
Skyler: “I have realized who my enemy is, and he’s right in front of me. Rayquaza, switch to a Hyper Beam!” Rayquaza stops its Draco Meteor attack and fires its Hyper Beam. From Below, Brad, Vik, Amy and the others were trying hard to win the battle and wear out Dialga before it used any of its powers.
Jason: “I’ve had enough of this. Return Dialga!” Dialga goes back into the Elite ball.
Brad: “Do you surrender?”
Jason: “No, I’m just getting warmed up. Dialga, come back on out!” Dialga comes back out fully recovered from all its injuries.
Vik: “No way! How did Dialga get healed so quickly?”
Brad: “If I had to guess it has something to do with that weird pokeball.”
Jason: “Roar of Time attack, now!”
Shade: “Darkrai, use Dark Void to stop Dialga!” Dark Void hits before Roar of Time is started. Jason throws a pokeball ball in response to that.
Jason: “Regigigas, now its your turn.” Regigigas appears and is taller than all the other pokemon, towering at a height of over 12 feet.
Jason: “Use Crush Grip on that pesky Dragonite!” Regigigas slowly extends it's huge right claw at Dragonite.
Amy: “Use Agility, Dragonite!” Chase looks down at the battle going on. Drgonite manages to fly out of range of Regigigas' range.
Chase: “This is insane.”
Skyler: “Forget about them, it’s just you and me.”
Chase: “I really didn’t want to do this, but Gengar, come on out and use Dream Eater on Skyler! Metagross, use Explosion and Articuno, use Sheer Cold!” Chase’s friends heard his commands as well.
Amy: “Butterfree, Protect us so the explosion won’t hit us.” Butterfree projects a barrier around Amy, Vik, Brad, and itself. The other Rockets and TC Grunts take cover as Chase’s Metagross glows a bright red and then explodes. Articuno manages to blast Rayquaza with Sheer Cold and OHKO it. As Rayquaza falls, Chase catches AJ and Gengar starts using Dream Eater and begins to cancel out as much as the Dark Voids and Hypnosis that has been used on Skyler. Soon Skyler becomes unconcious from all the mental stress he has. Chase grabs Skyler’s cartridge ball and recalls the shiny Rayquaza and then recalls his Metagross to his cartridge ball as well. Soon Lucas and Zach Fly toward on Fearow with Ralts.
Lucas: “Chase, stop it!”
Chase: “Trust me Lucas, I know what I’m doing!” Below them Shade and Jason met face to face while Regigigas and Dialga survived the Explosion attack while Slacking was KO'd. Dragonite managed to get behind Butterfree's Barrier in time to avoid damage.. Brad took his cartridge ball out of his pocket.
Brad: “I’m ready to finish what Chase started. Return Slacking and go Deoxys!” Slacking returns to Brad’s Emerald game and Deoxys comes out ball and levitates next to Brad.
Amy: “Shall we finish this once and for all?”
Brad: “Let’s. Deoxys, transform into your attack form and use Super Power!”
Amy: “Dragonite, use Hyper Beam!”
Vik: “Tyranitar, use Earthquake!” Tyranitar attacked first with its Earthquake. The whole base shock once more. Debris from the ceiling fell from where Tyranitar had used Earthquake before. As the earthquake continued, Dragonite and Deoxys fired their Super Power and Hyper Beam at the same time. Regigigas starts to show signs of weakening. Meanwhile, Jason was too busy with Shade.
Jason: “You know Shade I was ready to make you a partner. You and I together could’ve had the world in the palms of our hands.”
Shade: “Don’t lie to me. You’d just try to brainwash me again, but since I have Darkrai, you can’t brainwash me forever. Darkrai, Make sure that Dialga doesn’t wake up for a while. Use Night Shade on it right now!” Darkrai fires a beam of darkness at Dialga that zaps away some of Dialga’s health.
Jason: “I know when I’m defeated. Dialga, Regigigas, return!”
Shade: “Oh no you don’t, I’m in control now! Ariados, destroy this Elite ball!” Ariados levitates it with its Psychic attack and then uses a Signal Beam to Damage it, followed by a Night Shade attack and the Elite ball is destroyed along with the Pokemon Diamond game within it. Dialga awaken and start roaring with extreme rage. Regigigas also starts acting out of control. This breaks Gengar’s concentration with its Dream Eater attack. Chase flies down toward the others on the ground.
Chase: “What’s going on?”
Brad: “I don’t know. Those two Team Chaos guys did something with a pokeball.”
Jason: “Shade you fool! You just made Regigigas and Dialga wild pokemon! Now there’s no telling what can happen, especially if Dialga’s powers of time get out of control!” Chase and the Rockets heard this as well. Dialga’s powers start to effect the base. The clocks on the wall start to slow down. Soon Lucas, Zach, and Katie catch up to Chase and the Rockets on Fearow and Ponyta.
Brad: “Chase, it’s getting too dangerous here. We need to defeat Dialga and Regigigas here and now!”
Chase: “Lucas, here. Take your brother and leave! You, Zach and Katie need to make it out of here whilie you still can! Gengar, go with the kids and AJ and make sure you erase the effects of Dark Hall and Hypnosis once you’re a safe distance from here!”
Lucas: “We can’t leave.” Gengar takes AJ in its arms.
Chase: “Just go, it’s too dangerous! Your mom told us that she didn’t want you to get hurt! Leaving is the best thing you can do. Once you’re a safe distance from here try to help AJ remember who he really is!” Dialga roars fiercely again and activates its Time Roar which hits Deoxys and Dragonite. They both become frozen in time.
Katie: “Let’s just go. Ponyta, let’s get out of here with Agility!”
Zach: “Follow Ponyta, Fearow!” The kids leave with Gengar and the unconscious AJ. Now it was down to Shade and Jason against Chase, Vik, Brad, and Amy.

Lucas: “Ralts helped me out so much. If it could use Synchronize again I think it can help AJ remember again.”
Gwen: “Lucas, that’s it.”
Skyler: “What’s it?”
Gwen: “In the game Ralts is known as the Emotion pokemon. By using synchronize Ralts can tap into your emotions and use those to help your brother remember.” Skyler couldn’t remember the last time synchronize was used on him. All he knew was that he needed to defeat whoever was trying to wreck the base.
Skyler: “I have no time for this. Rayquaza, let’s head into battle." Rayquaza picks up Skyler with one of its claws and then flies out of the corridor and into the main room were the battle was taking place.
Zach: “Now what do we do?”
Gwen: “You kids stay here and wait for Fearow and Ralts to fully recover. Until the pokemon are done recovering, don’t come out of this room.” She and her Miltank and Flareon head down the corridor. When she sees the battle, there are several pokemon battling and Dialga was trying to use Time Roar to freeze everyone, but Tyranitar, Dragonite, Articuno, and on occasions Slacking wouldn’t allow it. Shade then sneaks upon her.
Shade: “Sorry Gwen, but you’d just interfere. Dark Void attack, Darkrai!” Darkrai uses Dark Void and Gwen, Miltank, and Flareon all pass out. Skyler on his Rayquaza fly by.
Skyler: “What are you doing Shade?”
Shade: “Eliminating my threats. Dark Void again, Darkrai!”
Skyler: “Fly up to that hole in the roof and use Draco Meteor on everything in this room!” Rayquaza follows Skyler’s orders and begins its attack. Chase manages to catch up to him on his Articuno.
Skyler: “Finally, my greatest adversary has appeared in front of me.”
Chase: “Look AJ, or Skyler, uh, whoever you are. Jason has everyone in the palm of his hand. You got realize who the real enemy is. (quietly) Articuno, use Mind Reader on his Rayquaza.” Articuno coos softly as it focuses on the shiny Rayquaza.
Skyler: “I have realized who my enemy is, and he’s right in front of me. Rayquaza, switch to a Hyper Beam!” Rayquaza stops its Draco Meteor attack and fires its Hyper Beam. From Below, Brad, Vik, Amy and the others were trying hard to win the battle and wear out Dialga before it used any of its powers.
Jason: “I’ve had enough of this. Return Dialga!” Dialga goes back into the Elite ball.
Brad: “Do you surrender?”
Jason: “No, I’m just getting warmed up. Dialga, come back on out!” Dialga comes back out fully recovered from all its injuries.
Vik: “No way! How did Dialga get healed so quickly?”
Brad: “If I had to guess it has something to do with that weird pokeball.”
Jason: “Roar of Time attack, now!”
Shade: “Darkrai, use Dark Void to stop Dialga!” Dark Void hits before Roar of Time is started. Jason throws a pokeball ball in response to that.
Jason: “Regigigas, now its your turn.” Regigigas appears and is taller than all the other pokemon, towering at a height of over 12 feet.
Jason: “Use Crush Grip on that pesky Dragonite!” Regigigas slowly extends it's huge right claw at Dragonite.
Amy: “Use Agility, Dragonite!” Chase looks down at the battle going on. Drgonite manages to fly out of range of Regigigas' range.
Chase: “This is insane.”
Skyler: “Forget about them, it’s just you and me.”
Chase: “I really didn’t want to do this, but Gengar, come on out and use Dream Eater on Skyler! Metagross, use Explosion and Articuno, use Sheer Cold!” Chase’s friends heard his commands as well.
Amy: “Butterfree, Protect us so the explosion won’t hit us.” Butterfree projects a barrier around Amy, Vik, Brad, and itself. The other Rockets and TC Grunts take cover as Chase’s Metagross glows a bright red and then explodes. Articuno manages to blast Rayquaza with Sheer Cold and OHKO it. As Rayquaza falls, Chase catches AJ and Gengar starts using Dream Eater and begins to cancel out as much as the Dark Voids and Hypnosis that has been used on Skyler. Soon Skyler becomes unconcious from all the mental stress he has. Chase grabs Skyler’s cartridge ball and recalls the shiny Rayquaza and then recalls his Metagross to his cartridge ball as well. Soon Lucas and Zach Fly toward on Fearow with Ralts.
Lucas: “Chase, stop it!”
Chase: “Trust me Lucas, I know what I’m doing!” Below them Shade and Jason met face to face while Regigigas and Dialga survived the Explosion attack while Slacking was KO'd. Dragonite managed to get behind Butterfree's Barrier in time to avoid damage.. Brad took his cartridge ball out of his pocket.
Brad: “I’m ready to finish what Chase started. Return Slacking and go Deoxys!” Slacking returns to Brad’s Emerald game and Deoxys comes out ball and levitates next to Brad.
Amy: “Shall we finish this once and for all?”
Brad: “Let’s. Deoxys, transform into your attack form and use Super Power!”
Amy: “Dragonite, use Hyper Beam!”
Vik: “Tyranitar, use Earthquake!” Tyranitar attacked first with its Earthquake. The whole base shock once more. Debris from the ceiling fell from where Tyranitar had used Earthquake before. As the earthquake continued, Dragonite and Deoxys fired their Super Power and Hyper Beam at the same time. Regigigas starts to show signs of weakening. Meanwhile, Jason was too busy with Shade.
Jason: “You know Shade I was ready to make you a partner. You and I together could’ve had the world in the palms of our hands.”
Shade: “Don’t lie to me. You’d just try to brainwash me again, but since I have Darkrai, you can’t brainwash me forever. Darkrai, Make sure that Dialga doesn’t wake up for a while. Use Night Shade on it right now!” Darkrai fires a beam of darkness at Dialga that zaps away some of Dialga’s health.
Jason: “I know when I’m defeated. Dialga, Regigigas, return!”
Shade: “Oh no you don’t, I’m in control now! Ariados, destroy this Elite ball!” Ariados levitates it with its Psychic attack and then uses a Signal Beam to Damage it, followed by a Night Shade attack and the Elite ball is destroyed along with the Pokemon Diamond game within it. Dialga awaken and start roaring with extreme rage. Regigigas also starts acting out of control. This breaks Gengar’s concentration with its Dream Eater attack. Chase flies down toward the others on the ground.
Chase: “What’s going on?”
Brad: “I don’t know. Those two Team Chaos guys did something with a pokeball.”
Jason: “Shade you fool! You just made Regigigas and Dialga wild pokemon! Now there’s no telling what can happen, especially if Dialga’s powers of time get out of control!” Chase and the Rockets heard this as well. Dialga’s powers start to effect the base. The clocks on the wall start to slow down. Soon Lucas, Zach, and Katie catch up to Chase and the Rockets on Fearow and Ponyta.
Brad: “Chase, it’s getting too dangerous here. We need to defeat Dialga and Regigigas here and now!”
Chase: “Lucas, here. Take your brother and leave! You, Zach and Katie need to make it out of here whilie you still can! Gengar, go with the kids and AJ and make sure you erase the effects of Dark Hall and Hypnosis once you’re a safe distance from here!”
Lucas: “We can’t leave.” Gengar takes AJ in its arms.
Chase: “Just go, it’s too dangerous! Your mom told us that she didn’t want you to get hurt! Leaving is the best thing you can do. Once you’re a safe distance from here try to help AJ remember who he really is!” Dialga roars fiercely again and activates its Time Roar which hits Deoxys and Dragonite. They both become frozen in time.
Katie: “Let’s just go. Ponyta, let’s get out of here with Agility!”
Zach: “Follow Ponyta, Fearow!” The kids leave with Gengar and the unconscious AJ. Now it was down to Shade and Jason against Chase, Vik, Brad, and Amy.
