daniel i think i like island cave over giant stump so you can play more fossils

I disagree for 3 reasons

Either way its a stadium but Island Cave also effects sniping decks like rock-lock and so on....so I prefer giant stump

Stadiums mess pidgeot up such as Battle Frontier and Desert Ruins both effect Pidgeot or Politoed so I like how many Giant Stumps he has in but I honestly think he only needs 3 rather then 4 but 4 is quicker pulling out so Im not against it

Last Of all I prefer Giant Stump over Island Cave because Legend Maker Lunatone Solrock mess with Pidgeot so I prefer Giant Stump because once U take out the 3rd pokemon then there forced to send out Lunatone or Solrock which messes there plan to mess pidgeot up completely Backfired

1.) Your first statement doesn't make since to me, I think you jumbled up the wording. Giant stump affects rock-lock, if that's what you mean, but not in the same way it would say, Queendom or Ludicargo. Giant stump prevents you from keeping 3 or so fossils on your bench. In fact, you'd have to have 1 Pidgeot, 1 Politoed EX, and 1 fossil active with one fossil benched. Most likely you'll be keeping fossils in your hand after they maul your active so you can bench another in replacement for the one you just sent up. This way, you're asking for a well-timed copycat, holon scientist, or rocket's admin.

2.) If you play the first counter-stadium and only run 3 in your deck, they WILL drop a battle frontier and lock it into place. Do the math. Running 4 of a stadium in this deck is no problem as there are many ample ways to find room.

3.) Please honestly name me at least 2 archetypes (or normal decks) that seriously runs lunasolrock. Once you're past that process, tell me how that deck plans to win against politoed wasting space like that.

As good as a card that ice may be I don't think I have ever played someone that had that in their deck. Maybe I just played so terrible that they did not need to use it.

Actually, I think Ice is going to be played a lot more now. At MD States John A. used a Fossil-Shedinja deck and it got in second place. The only reason it lost was because the guy played Ice in his deck. I now take it into consideration when ever I build a deck, just in case I run into a deck like that.

Hey, I thought of using that, but I decided Stump was better for a couple reasons. Island cave will remove special conditions, but thats not usually a problem because Poli is allways moving back to the bench. Its rare when you would actually need that card. I like Stump so much more because you can get away with it, and I totally screws tough match ups like Queen and Ludi. But thats just my opinion. If you like Island cave then go for it.

Yeah island cave doesn't really help..... but I still don't like the idea of limiting my bench, because of the reasons I noted above, so what do you think about meteor falls?

Second thing-- I think i like pokemon reversals or POW or something in this deck to give us more of a control over what goes on... i dunno..

Finally, here's the list I'm working with feel free to voice suggestions:

Pokemon: 17

3-2-3 Pidgeot
3 x Poliwag UF
2 x Poliwhirl RG
3 x Politoed EX
1 x Poliwrath UF

Trainers: 31

4 x Claw Fossil
4 x Root Fossil
4 x Rare Candy
4 x Island Cave
3 x TV Reporter
3 x Great Ball
3 x PETM
2 x Copycat
2 x Steven's Advice
1 x Surprise! Time Machine
1 x Rocket's Admin

Energy: 12

4 x Boost
1 x Heal
7 x Water

I think your list looks pretty solid Ludi. The only thing I would change besides the Stadium is -1 TVR and +1 Admin. Ohh, and I like Mysterious Fossil more then Root. Having 50 HP is better then 40 in my opinion. Yes, it does heal between turns, but I've found that it doesn't help much. Having 50 ends up saving you more.

Root is actually key vs. spinning tail ttar, though, since it wicks away any spun damage as the turns revolve; otherwise, you face your entire bench of fossils being wiped out simultaneously. It's also worth it vs. sand damage ttar, which will do the same thing.

I'm still of the opinion that you need all twelve fossils and no pidgeot to make this deck run successfully, but good luck with your lists, nonetheless.

what if your facing a deck that discards your energies for some reason. I rly dont think u have anough energies. Mayb u should add a way to get some back

hmmm. I see one big weakness to this deck and its pidgey lol. If your opponent simply uses pidgey and use corner on the fossil and the fossil cant retreat then what are you going to do.

Fossil aren't bound by this trap. You can discard a fossil whenever you want and it doesn't count as "retreating". It says so right on the card.

I'll have to debate that. Its such a tight fit allready, I'm not sure what I would take out. Any suggestions.

If you use Poliwrath, you'd want to use the one that traps the opponent when they're confused (RG), since it works so nicely with Dunsparce. You trap an ex, and then finish it off.

Thats true, it would help with dunsparce. I'll have to look into that. The only reason I'm questioning that is because of its lack of power to attack. But I'll definitly consider it.

Thank you Slash in the Sand, now I want to play Poli-stall!! And my liability deck uses reversal and warp point, so watch out. <_< >_>
