Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Shiny pokemon

Can someone explain to me how to RNG on SoulSilver to hatch shiny eggs? I have the RNG software and I have my secret ID (thanks to catching a shiny Geodude), but I don't quite understand what I am supposed to do. I have also shown the Pokemon Nurse a Pokemon with Pokerus, been to Kanto, and shown Professor Elm the hatched Togepi. Thanks in advance! ^_^

There are many guides on Youtube and Google.

I have about half a box of legit shinies from chaining in my diamond. Took a VERY long time, but I've managed to get 3 shiny Starlys, 1's a Staraptor and Adamant I use in my Singles team. 4 Shiny Zigzagoons, 1 is a Picker Upper level 75, and 1 other I haven't trained yet, plus other assorted swarm pokemon from that game.

I have absolutely no idea how all this RNG stuff and EV/IV training or whatever is, and I'm too lazy to figure it out. haha

However, in my FireRed I did catch a shiny Mankey. And in HeartGold I caught a shiny Zubat like less than an hour into the game. Only two shinies I've ever encountered besides Redy Gyarados obviously.

I have found multiple shinies, including Wooper, Regigigas and Heatran.
I failed to catch the Wooper as I was at the Safari Zone.
I do have many other shinies, but they are just from chaining. I have not and never will use RNG, because I don't believe it's legit - but that's just me!

My first shiny I encountered was Wailmer. And I am so lucky I realized it...

So I was lying in my bed, trying to fish up a Staryu on my Emerald to complete the first 151 Pokédex (then I would get the Johto-mons). I didn't have much luck... I did reel in a Wailmer. However, my sound was low, so I didn't hear a sparkle. I didn't notice it either as I turned away (for some reason...?) and then I realized it...this Wailmer was a bit weird. I had never known/heard of shiny Pokémon at this point so I wasn't hyper or anything, but I somehow knew it was different. The colours looked weird, so I caught it.
Some months later, I learned about shiny Pokémon and realized my Wailmer was in fact shiny!
I named it 'KillerWail' and cloned it, then migrated some across to my Pearl.
And that was how I found my first shiny.
I also chained for a shiny Porygon =D

Edit:
I caught a shiny Rhydon in Ruby and Sapphire. Love that thing and I should evolve him to a Rhyhorn.
LOL! I'm deciding if I should sig this or not...

I've caught quite a few shinies just by EV Training and playing the games (not bothered to do the chaining stuff)

Some where actually pretty boring (Golduck doesn't even look that much different). My favourite is a shiny Pidgey which looks amazing as a golden Pidgeot.

So... you're fine with exploiting a flaw in the game, but you're not fine with exploiting a flaw in the game? Can you explain how that works?

RNG isn't even a flaw in the game. It's pretty much the exact same thing as EV training and IV breeding. It's a facet of the game we shouldn't "know about".

Cloning is an unintentional glitch that wasn't put in there for anything, it was just a mistake. RNG was intentional.

I don't like to think of RNG exploiting a flaw in the game. There is no such thing as a truly random number generator... it is always pseudo-random. The term "flaw" implies that there is something wrong with the game that somebody can exploit. The RNG works exactly as the creators wanted it to. They may want to make it more complex, but it is, by no means, flawed. RNGing is exploiting knowledge that we technically should not know. People are not supposed to know how the RNG works... but they do.

Cloning is a flaw in the game. It is pretty clear that the game creators did not want cloning to be in the game. If they did, they would make it consistent and not try to avoid it in every new game.

Both Cloned mon and RNG'd mon are legit, as the game created both without outside influence (AR for example). None the less, clones are exploits of flaws while RNGing is an exploit of knowledge. Are either wrong? I don't think so. That is completely up to you, though.

When I said using RNG was using a flaw, I mean that the fact that you can't have an RNG that's unpredictable. It may be complex, but it still follows a set pattern. The fact that it's not perfect in my mind means it's flawed. ^^; Maybe other people don't see it that way.

Lol, other than the shiny event pokemon I got. I seen 1 ingame. My son got it in Platinum and it was a Shiny Golem it's first thing was Self Destruct :(.
Is there a method in D/P on using the poke finder thing ( thin makes the grass move ) that helps with finding shinies?

I think you mean Geodude or Graveler - Golem does not show up in game.

As for the pokeradar - yes, when chaining pokemon with it, you have an increased rate to get shinys.

Because I believe RNGing for shinies/IVs aren't legit. I only cloned it so I could keep it on my Emerald (for some reason) and also transfer 1 to my Pearl.
That's just me though...
I admit, I did sound quite stupid there though... xD

Unless you're working by some weird definition of your own, a legitimate Pokemon is a discrete definition. There is a very hard-coded way to determine if something is or is not legitimate.

A Pokemon that was RNG "abused" is legitimate. No external devices were used to create it.

problem? =\
