Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Texas State Championship...March 20, 2010

Question to all the DS players. Was everyone happy with the DS rules? We're scheduling a DS tournament for Regionals and we'll keep the same rules if everyone was happy.

Keep in mind that the DS event will happen AFTER swiss rounds. It's for the players that missed top cut in the tournament.

i was the player he did that to and this is to h0bbesteroo obviously you werent there beacause if you were you would know that he didnt even disqualify me for that he did it for something not even relivent to the game and if you were from texas he himself has gotten angry for a stupid call and it wasnt even his game it was his sons or whoever he was there with. every1 knows that i dont get mad when i lose i shake there hand and say good game every time. and i NEVER cheat it takes all the fun out of the game like i said. i go to just about every tourny excluding last year and when the same judge on 3 different occasion gives you a game loss for something like that it is a grudge i just dont know about what. so know all your facts and think before you speak

and im not here to argue i just meant to say keep the game fun and fair. Also ASSUMING isnt in the the RULE BOOK you always have to wait 3 seconds before every action that is in the rules

I am sorry you are right, I didn't know all of my facts. I was a judge in the tourney just so you know and I was informed that someone was disqualified due to foul language . I wasn't informed that he disqualified other players too. (I don't know everyone's name here on the gym)
The fact that you weren't the only person who was disqualified only proves that he doesn't have some personal grudge against you. He makes his judgments not only from the rule book but from the Penalty Guidelines for tournaments which is available to everyone on the Pokemon website.
I know how MrMeches talks to people (including his friends) and he is very blunt and to the point. He doesn't candy coat his judgments and calls and I can see how people take it personally. He is also consistent with his calls. He doesn't change his judgment based on your name. He even called me out a few times on Saturday as a judge and I didn't take it personally.
Learn from your mistakes and move on.

Oh yeah... one more thing... the head judge has the final word in everything. If you don't like his ruling, it is a good idea not to argue about it.

You should add that you soundly beat the me to your highlights. (even if it was a friendly playtest )

Oh, you mean when I put the beat down on you while play testing Friday night? Nah, that wasn't a highlight, that was just a common everyday natural occurrence.:lol::lol:

You know, Burger King beating Dairy Queen.:lol::lol:

Excellent job Demarcus.

Hey... I'm not a dairy queen... I'm the Jack in the (EPICALLY LARGE) Box...

Speaking of Mardi Gras Pokemon beads, I didn't see anyone from Louisiana at Texas States. I understand why Rick missed but I figured we would see 10-15 players. Maybe they were there and I just don't know them.

lol I guess they were scared to come to texas. I was talking with some Okies after OK states. I asked "Are you going to TX States?" They were like "No, we're going to Tennessee." Oh well. I hope they enjoyed themselves. They better be in Houston...

This was my first major tournament, and had a lot of fun. I went 1-4 and had to leave early, but did everything I wanted to do. Hopefully I can make regionals.

I had a first round no show (easy win, lol). The player was sitting behind the judges tables and later told me he had no intentions of playing. That kinda ticked me off, I really wanted to play, I didn't want a free win.

Sorry Cook, I was too busy putting smiles on the faces of children to get spanked by you. You're welcome to challenge me any time you want to make up for it, though

Hahaha. Thank you so much for the buttons! They were awesome and everyone loved them. :D

I guess I can overlook the fact you can't write a sentence properly or use punctuation, but this is the farthest thing from the truth I've ever seen on the Pokegym. I've known Fish since 2004 and for the last six years of knowing him, one thing I know for sure is when the subject is related to Pokemon, Fish is the most unbiased person I know. Especially with his own family. If anything, he's harder on his own son! Even at States, in a match right next to me, Fish asked a judge to step away from the table because that judge's son was related to the ruling. Fish had been apart of Pokemon for I don't know how long and definitely wouldn't let something like someone's family or a stupid grudge effect his rulings. Whether or not Fish is the type of person who would hold a grudge outside of pokemon, he sure as hell does not in the game. If you were given three game losses from Fish, you deserved three game loses regardless of the judge who gave them!

So, I highly recommend you get to know people before you start mouthing off accusations on a public forum. Just because you feel like you're being picked on by a judge doesn't give you the right to say these things. Maybe you should step back and take a look at yourself and your own actions before you continue to blame other people and/or act so childishly at a tournament...

My point here is that you should have NEVER been put in the tournament if you wanted to put smiles on the players faces, and I'm sure you did, thank you very much.

IF that was your purpose for being there AND you yourself admitted in front of 5 people that you didn't sign up to play AND gave no one permission to add you to the tournament, then why was your name on my match slip?

And by the way, EXCELLENT job on the mats and buttons. Thank you for being there for the kids.

well one of the words used was equivalent to flipping one to him, so does that count?

(And it I am not talking about Staraptors)

Droping bombs:nonono: has no excuse in a Pokemon battle, Prof Fish may have the voice of an Exploud:lol: but has always been fair, suk it up and accept what u did as wrong and move on it's just part of growing up:thumb:
